Sir in basement problem why have we considered surcharge as no backfilling has been done?
in the last question why the action of water table has not been considered ? why rw and rw' is ignored in the calculations ?
Sir in basement problem, we have not done back filling. So why are we taking the surcharge in calculation. Please respond.
Assumption of Terzaghi i.e Soil above the base of the footing can be replaced by equivalent surcharge Y.Df

Sir,in IES Master publication's book ans.of both last q.are different.In that book they consider the value of Nq for dense sand.and ans.is 876.7. And for last one ans.is 163.43mm settlement 😐😐😐?
