Recently I have been diagnosed with liver cancer and the doctor said I only have 8 months left. Though I don't have much time left, I am proud to have been your subscriber since the very beginning. I know this probably doesn't count for much and you've probably heard it from loved ones so some random prick on the internet saying it means bugger all but that's 8 good months you have to get you affairs in order and live whatever life you can live with the time you have, not everyone is as lucky to know in advance and there's nothing worse than finding out that the loved one that's been sick the past week is actually only got a week or so left (from personal experience). With that being said tho I hope you don't let it ruin what time u have left with those you love, hold them close and make sure you get the best next 8 month's you can with them so they can remember you for how you were not how you will be, I obviously know next to nothing about your situation so this might all be useless to hear but I hope you know that whatever happens the effect you would've had on certain people's lives will stay with them forever and they'll always hold the cherished memories of you with them

My Dad's ship, U.S.S. Abbot DD 629, served in the Pacific from 1943 to 1946, was refurbished for the Korea Era in 1950, and then served until shortly before being scrapped in 1974-5. It also proved that a Fletcher Class ramming a CVL doesn't explode, but instead steams back to drydock for repairs with a bent bow, but under its own power... all main guns intact. The Korea refit included losing one set of torpedo tubes, the center-aft 5"/38 mount... and gaining 40mm Bofors, 3" AA mounts, and a new tripod mast with extensive new radar as well as advanced sonar.
This whole game was enabled by how bad the enemy team were. In my limited experience, when you're behind by 4 ships like at the 7:00 mark, you'll start getting crossfired in a matter of minutes and completely erased.

Must have been a while. Its been a radar destroyer for a long time now. Pretty sure it's also the stealthiest ship in the new IJN DD line. If I remember correctly, you have the IJN DD Texas, IJN DD Arizona, IJN DS Gneisenau, IJN DD Massachusetts, IJN DD Missouri and the IJN DD Grosser Kurfurst. If I remember correctly, the IJN GKurfurst is the most agile in the line, but it loses its ability to radar for that agility. Just be careful because they're adding in the USN DD Yamato next week and that thing is expected to go 62kn without speed boost, and it has 5 times as many torpedoes as the Kitakami.

Many years ago when I was in Cub Scouts, we went to the Buffalo Naval Park and saw the Uss The Sullivan’s, which is one of the Fletcher class destroyers, they also had a submarine there, I urge anyone around New York to go and see it considering they also have cruiser there

Jingles is infatuated with number of kills and Hit Points accrued. It would be nice if just one time, he published a game of a ship that used aggressive strategy to turn a game without necessarily getting lucky with torpedoes or pulling large Frag totals.

That was one helluva match.
Let's also take a minute to appreciate that this guy solo killed 3 Radar capable ships out of the 8 total. That's no small feat in an old and power crept DD no matter how you look at it.
Jingles, fyi the Cleveland's Radar range is 9km so enterprise_reborn was far away to not be detected by radar if the Cleve used it.
Thanks Jingles. Was not able to hear your air conditioner but there was a 'scratching' type sound at the start. In addition, at approximately 00:53 the volume level dropped and the background 'scratching' sound went away.

Jingles is infatuated with number of kills and Hit Points accrued. It would be nice if just one time, he published a game of a ship that used aggressive strategy to turn a game without necessarily getting lucky with torpedoes or pulling large Frag totals.

I have tried 4K and 1080p versions. Bottom line is it looks slightly choppy and sound is distorted at times. I will try again this afternoon, maybe TH-cam is still processing for low to high resolutions.
Tried again and playback is same as earlier.
