This school of pipeology is off the charts! This build, the Buggy, Robby Layton's oldie wrecker are a few examples of piping framework gone wild. Nice job.
@@ronsereda4242 Yeah, trying to keep them in line, and lining up your bends is an art form that certainly isn't easy! I've tried several times, and now I just stay away from it! 🙃 😪 😒 😕
I used to be an electrician. My favorite thing was running conduit in old barns where nothing was square, level, plumb, or conventional in any way. Minimal measuring, just eyeballing and fitting to the structure. You sir, are a craftsman of the highest order!
I met Kris this past Sept. while the guys were at WeRock. Such a sweetheart. Rory, you're doing right by keeping her comfortable right away! Congratulations Guys!
The old white Rubicon continues to deliver great parts since its roll over 🙂 pretty soon it will be crusher bait 😂 Amazing how well things fit have cutting and grinding away excess sheet metal 😂🤣😂 Happy Wife Happy Life 🥰 Thanks for sharing
The way Rory and the guys just look, and then bend, is incredible. True, they have loads of experience doing that, but just the same... As always very best wishes to all involved.
Every man needs a well-stocked back yard like that. The back yard will provide! (I may be saying this to justify the 10 Rovers I have stashed around here)
Before I became a Jeep fan, I was a hack n slash Miata girl. Race em, chop em, whatever. No more shop room for me so I live vicariously through you guys giving 0 flocks and modding JKs to be better versions of themselves. 🎉
I do that same thing on our 9" grinder.. When the chop say disc starts getting too small.. I can still use it on the 9" grinder as a great cutting wheel. The center wasn't the right size, but I just fabricated a simple washer that fits into the larger chop saw hole, to act as an alignment bushing and it all gets sandwiched like normal. I just made it in a pinch one day and it worked so well that I've used it ever since.. You get a second use out of your worn down chop saw blades.. I'm pretty thrilled about that.. lol
That's it, offroad wrecker games has its winner. This thing is AMAZING! Love the vision and to see it come together, chef kiss! Can't wait to see the rest of the build! Keep up the hard work and thank you!
The square tubing and the round tubing are not cheap. Rory better drain his bank account now before he cries about the prices starting in January 2025.
Thinking back to Mike's episode with that attack side grinder made me shudder at the thought of the trouble he could get into with that portable band saw. (just a foolish joke. These guys are each skilful experienced craftsmen of the highest order! ) I'm 76 now but my job included an aspect of metal fabrication. No way near the detail, precision and sophistication of these guys and I appreciated the little tutorial Mike gave on how to size that pipe. I wish I would have known that method long ago.
That thing is shaping up sweet. I love mine and it would be even more capable with the back half deleted😂 Most electrical issues on the 3.6 start at the loom by the sway bar on the passenger side. I’m sure you already have it all worked out. Looking forward to seeing some recovery’s with this baby!
Really excited for this build. I love how you tied the cage into the windshield bracket. Looks like an incredible middle ground between safety and visibility for a street driven Jeep.
I have the urge to go buy a junkyard or salvage wreck, cut it up and put roll bars on it. But I live in Florida and everything's flat. Still might do it!
I can see what you are doing here - everyone else = a jalopy; Rory, Mike and Shaun = a Scrambler (with full doors that even fit to the cage) in sheep's clothing. Looking forward to see you dominate the off road games.
@@Adventures-pk8lg it’s amazing how you got doors to fit and latch and seal against the tubework. Just needed minor tweaks with extra bars and plates to silence rattles. Incredible detailed work and you three make it look like child’s play. What an amazing team you have.
Awesome build. You guys make it look easy. After the off road games you should consider a small boom narrow the front fenders and hood for side by side recovery / repair on the narrow tight trails
Always love watching you guys build stuff you make everything look good. Way better fabrication skills than Matt’s off-road. Keep doing what you’re doing
I forgot that was a 4 door… I’m even more impressed now. This makes me want a J8 even more now, but then I remember I don’t have your skills to make it.
Lord, help me! I'm watching this latest video. Rory, you touch the saw blade, and it left a lasting impression, and all you can do is laugh about it... like, don't try this at home, people, we're professional! hahaha haha. The scary thing about it is, if I wanted a car to be built like that, I'd look ya'll up to do the work. LOL
I agree with Mike on patience being limited plus my OCD on it has to be perfect would drive me insane and take forever I would screw up and start over if it wasn't right.
Radical. You guys are crushing it!
Turning junk into GOLD.
Everyone love’s TrailMater builds.
People build insanely expensive builds.
Rory - you build beyond creative builds that in the end work insanely well.
I just love what you do. Respect.

Came here to say the same thing. The builds one this channel and the way the videos are made are always my favorite
I used to bend lots and lots of pipe ......... well actually it was one pipe but took lots and lots of tries to get it kind of right

Tubing! Lol
Damn Rory, you're a freaking mad genius!!!!!! The thing is gonna rock...
3 guys having so much fun cutting a jeep up and then welding it back into a jalopy 👍👍👍

Old school tubing masters. Amazing work
Hey hurry it up with part 2 I'm waiting darn it

Happy turkey day everyone . Turkey + pay dirt = 😊
Thank you Rory , Mike and Shawn for sharing this with me and I'm looking forward to the next video of this build !
Your cage building is awesome. Fun to watch.
Watching you guys build is so impressive. Love these build videos!!
Hot Dang!! Another project!! Love this stuff. Never know what will happen next with you guys. Love it!! Keep up the good work!!!

Rory: We sure know how to tear a Jeep apart. (sometimes in the shop, sometimes on the trail. it's all fun.) I ❤ the shinannigans.
The trick for a perfect curve grind was extreemly clever. I will keep that in my quiver Thanks ;)
The ring that binds men comes with obligations. Non negotiable obligations. 😅

Hey Mike , I like the “bevel trick” for shortening the tubing evenly . Thanks for that.
The Beginning of the Beginning ! Looking good so far ! Thanks for sharing !

Rory and the crew have nothing to prove...they just do it. Awesome.
I drove From CO to Alaska and who knew I would go right by your shop. 👍
Rory figured out the happy wife happy life deal really quick! 😂👍
I know right

Awsome tips on cagenomics !....so so interesting. Thanks for learning me....lo
Congrats Rory, marriage looks good on you. You wear it well my brother 👍
That will look awesome when you're done with it nice choice
Rory: Now you’re learning what the saying means? “Happy wife Happy life” Got to keep her warm 😊
Such a sweet project! Excited to see more!
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
It's amazing how your priorities can change in an instant. We've been married 41 years and it still happens.
Really enjoy watching your creative building projects come together. Thank You for sharing!
Atta boy Rory, gotta keep Chris happy! Thanks for another great video and can't wait for more!
Watching Rory build cages is fascinating because he makes it look easy but I know it's not. I would waste so much tubing and be so frustrated LOL
Same here, however many feet of DOM I would need, just double the order. lol
@@doughaven-rf8id Ditto!!!
Pretty good coping tips Mike!
Mike Needs a T-Shirt "What Nooo way"
Keep up the good work guys
This jalopy has better fab work than a lot of expensive customs. Might even be worth keeping around after the event.
"RORY" a man with a vision & cutting tools
Great times as always, loving the builds!!!! Space heater!?!?! Why not another tried n true shop blast heater!!!!😁😁
So the JK gets a new life! The build is going good! Fun with Rory, Mike and Shawn!
Howdy trailmater thanks for the video
This jk is going to dominate the competition
Rory you and your cohorts are an amazing team. Love watching! Wishing you all an excellent Thanksgiving.
Start of a nice buggy 👍
Great work on the Jalopy Jeep

just in your yard, lol lol NICE TRIFECTA
Really excited for this build. I love how you tied the cage into the windshield bracket. Looks like an incredible middle ground between safety and visibility for a street driven Jeep.
I really believe you, Mike and Shawn likes tearing things apart more than building things. Love watching you all.
All fabricating shops need a precision Eyecrometer. Without one it’s just another tinker shop.
I've been sayin', Mike needs to publish a Trailmater Dictionary then sell copies on their website.
Always enjoy your builds Rory.
Looks like a fun build

love your quick and "dirty" projekts... waiting 4 part 2.!!
Rory NOW has a Boss..............
Looking great on the JK.
Nice trick for the tube notching. I am going to have to try that.
Making it look easy!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
I love when these guys get together and build shit. ❤🎉
I love watching rory build shit, idk if i would have thought to use a that bracket to tie in structurally and probably stronger than factory
I've done some pretty crazy stuff behind the wheel, but I've never put a hole in my diff from the inside.
Nice build and great job repurposing the rear diff from the white jeep. Love the banter in the shop.
They say man is not complete until he's married, then he's finished 😂 I've been happily finished for over 30 years 😊
This looks like ANOTHER Winner!!
Thanks, guys. This is gonna be a good competition.

That pipe bendy dohicky thingy is super cool!!!
When you are done with Matt’s games you should turn it into a mini-mater
I know this isn't a fabrication channel, but you guys sure do some nice fabrication!!!
Serious wall thickness on that tubing.
Coming right along, love the final product!!!
If anyone can make an award-winning Jalopy, it's the Trailmater crew.
Nice job Rory ❤

Man Mike is smart That's really neat information thank you
16:14 Mike confirmed jedi knight.
I like how you're pointing to that ring finger that's very funny
Maybe it's a "mood" ring as it changes color depending on Rory's mood.
Great video Love the chop!
I forgot that was a 4 door… I’m even more impressed now. This makes me want a J8 even more now, but then I remember I don’t have your skills to make it.
There's somebody out there with an old Jeep to get rear ended that really needs that piece you cut off
The only thing missing from the wedding ring is the chain attaching it to Chris's desk.
This thing is was sicker then everyone else's
I was wondering what happened to green Jeep I’m glad it’s getting a new life. That’s gonna be so awesome.
Amazing how three guys who know each other and the job can get so much done without drama
Call it J squared....since it took 2 jeeps, and it's squared
