This doesn't qualify as moonshine because it's not made from grain, but we (other names omitted) got a bottle of mezcal in Mexico. The bottle was hand-painted with a picture of an agave plant, it had no brand name, and yes, it had a worm in it. It was damn good. I conclude that those were unlicensed distillers who were proud of what they did.

Yes, years ago I had moonshine brought to a party by a coworker. He brought it back from a visit to his family in Tennessee. It was strong but smooth and very drinkable. He told us it was the result of long years of distilling work. Also, in the Ozarks they sell white whiskey leagally producded but by the "old methods". It is a fiery drink but it comes in a clay jug that I just had to have in my cellar. They also ad flavors to the whiskey there and many of them are very drinkable. Apple pie and lemon drop have some history from the moonshine days. The tasting room in Branson, MO is worth a stop if you are in the area.

A friend of mine makes some great Moonshine. He actually worked as a chemical engineer . He made some of the best I've ever tried. It was a high power spirit. With little to sweet taste. It was best consumed after storing in the freezer and just a shot or two. Any more and look out! I really enjoy your channel a lot
One question I would like to know is ,how do they determine when it is the end of the heads and the beginning of the tails of any spurts? Thanks again.
