Merry Christmas Sven! Thanks for your videos. Thanks to you I have familiarized myself with Arcadium Lithium and made some money on my small position in their acquisition with Rio Tinto :)

Hi Sven, thank you for this. For someone who doesn't know much about lithium but like your idea about the cycle play here- do you think a broad lithium ETF would be better, or playing one of the bigger lithium company (and cost curve)? thanks for your videos
I know there are a lot of issues with Policy in Chile, But SQM is investing a lot in Assets outside of Chile, and that is something you should have considered in Your Verdict
I sold LIT at $48 but kept ALB with the thought that they got funding from the DOD and will have an advantage in the LIT ETF. I also didn't think that the lithium price would be below $15k per metric ton for this long like it has most of this year, especially this close to $10k.
There was a temporary peak bc Lithium supply was not ready for sudden demand. But remember, it wasn't because lithium itself is rare, it was because it previously had little value, so there weren't many mines and refineries outside of China. Lithium is not geographically rare like cobalt or titanium. There's still money to be made, but not the exuberant/panic prices of 2021.
Lithium is rare and demand will outstrip supply in about 20 years. We are at the point where they are trying to build technology to get out dirty lithium or recycle it. Unless they make solid state batteries, lithium will cost ALOT
@@BatsAndBadgersI work in the Li industry. My company is not expecting the price to come any where what the peak was. An increase when the supply does not exceed demand, but nothing crazy.
Hi Sven, long time follower. I made some nice money in some more volatile stocks. Selling them now and trying to move them somewhere more secure. Always find the perfect advice on this channel. Thanks for the help! Don't know if you take stock picks but 2 companies I'm looking at are Melexis (MELE) and solar edge ( SEDG). I work in the solar industry. The sector is going trough a rough time but sedg is best in class as a product. I think they'll do good in the future, but hard to value now with the inventory clear up.
Sven, I think you are misinterpreting the point of technological innovation. Every technological innovation that increases the energy density of lithium batteries means they found a way to replace materials, that do not contribute to the energy capacity, with more lithium. It is even written in the bottom section of the slide about the battery prices. This means that every innovation increases the lithium demand by increasing the amount of lithium per battery stack (-per given volume or mass). Additionally, the demand is getting higher since the technology is becoming more useful.
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put $85,000 into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice?
Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience. If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.
The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but are not equipped enough for a crash, hence getting burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020, just after the pandemic to date. Thanks to Caroline Suzan Olson, she has been the one managing my portfolio.
Caroline Suzan Olson is a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. Just search her name in your browser. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Very much appreciated, just inputted Caroline Suzan Olson on the internet, spotted her consulting page ranked top and was able to schedule a call session. I've seen commentaries about advisors but not one looks this phenomenal.
it very much depends on the country where the buyer resides; in Italy, for instance, ICEs are still more convenient than EVs per kwh of energy let aside autonomy, infrastructure density etc; good point anyway

As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?.
People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions. I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. She has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.
I already have ALB and PLL in my portfolio. If you were to choose between AMD and SOFI, which one would you pick and why? I'm planning to invest an additional $132k in my portfolio.
Deciding between SOFI and AMD depends on your investment goals and risk tolerance. AMD offers stability and growth in tech and AI, while SOFI presents higher-risk, high-reward potential in fintech. Seeking advice from a CFA would be a smart move at this point.

Hi, IGO owns 49 % of TLEA which owns 51 % of the Greenbushes. I agree that their balance sheet is solid and they could be a decent investment in this sector.
Tesla will need a lesser amount of lithium batteries to transition the car fleet if they make a lot of self driving cybercabs. One cybercab may reduce demand for normal cars by 10.
If that were true, then just the existence of Uber would do the same. It's not like people who don't want to own their own car just keep one because they hate the idea of someone else driving them. Also, why in the world would everyone who takes cybercabs have otherwise been a Tesla owner, instead of displacing their ICE car?
@@drstedman It depend on price. If you drive mordantly it is cheaper to own a used car than use uber. If cybercab is successful it will be under a 1/5 of the price of uber. making it cheaper of nearly every body than to own a car. Than young people won't border to learn to drive. Doctors will also be more aggressive in taking away the driving license from old people.
