I liked to play with the idea of a unreliable/delusional narrator with this one so I hope that clarifies the ending a little! Also I colored it in black and white so the plot twist would be less obvious but I actually like the way it looks. Let me know what you guys think! Have a nice thanksgiving break (or regular week for some people) !!!

let me explain:
family of four husband/dad wife son daughter
the daughter had got piercing done which the parents didn't like and made her the maid (so the daughter is the maid and is also the narrator)
the man has an extra marital affair so that explain smell of cigar(his gf might be the one smoking)
which also hints the possibility that the girl( daughter) was from one of the affairs which explains why they didn't hesitate before making her the maid
Now they went to hunt a deer, they were successful and they came back
now the son comes and she says "This is first time I noticed how similar he looks to his dad"(not this very important) and then he gives the bag and told her not to open
but she did open and at that time the piercing may have fell into the bag
now to the dinner
Everyone appreciated the dad for the hunt but we only see the son sitting there and not dad
that means since he resembles so much to his dad he literally took his place and started acting as if he is the dad
now the eye in the meat further explains this point "A eye looking exactly like his"
Hmmm,,the Son was bloody so I think he killed the Father and the maid switched his body with that of the deer.

@@sweetcandysugaarmy8480 It's probably a kind of punishment the parents gave since it said she rebelled against them by getting her ears pierced
So the father was killed by the son when they came back from hunting the deer. I imagine since he was sitting at the head of the table at the end he wanted the position of head of table. He told the "maid" to dispose of the unknown fresh meat which I assumed is the father's remains and he had blood on him. She ended up realizing what happened, decided to "expose" the family of their messed up nature and instead of disposing the remains, she decided to cook the remains. In the end, since the beginning I assume the father had an illegitimate child with another person and hired her as a maid or he didn't actually know she was his child hence why the mother had given her a bonus. She ties herself into the story talking about the daughter when she's regarding it about herself. So even if the son wanted the father's position we'll say, I assume the reputation of the family is destroyed now. The earring probably landed in the meat while she was preparing the meal I assume or as a symbolism just for us to realize that she's the daughter to tie in the maid's identity to the family.
That was my understanding of the story, I had to watch twice to understand what happened for me to interpret it like this
But during the dinner it's told that everyone praised the father for his catch/hunting of the deer.

I thought of Dollhouse by Melanie Martinez.
The maid was the sister and she killed her father because the father wasn't a good person to her or the rest of the family. The mother was unawares and was very vain. The son was far from perfect as well. I think that the maid(the sister) and the brother killed their father after she and her father went hunting for the dear. After that, they butchered their father, storing him in the freezer along with the deer. At this time, I think the brother and the sister's arguments came into play. She hated her brother as well, given that she called him a roach. She also hinted that she'd double cross him when she mentioned the rat trap. She switched the dear and her father out, leading to her earring falling into the meat. Unknowingly, the father is cooked and it lead up to the end.

Also when the maid/ sister said that she caught a dead rat was she referring to her father? Wow seon, you’re content keeps getting better.
Explanation : the maid is the sister. when she said the rat was killed in the trap, she meant the father. the son finds out his father's corpse and hands it to the sister. instead of cooking the deer, she cooks the corpse of the father. we know that the maid was the sister because she finds out earring in the flesh, and only sister has her ears pierced. at the end, she refers to her father as the rat, confirming that she somehow trapped him and killed him. maybe she was jealous of the fact that their father was going to make the son their heir, even though she was the smarter child.

The most creepy story of this channel, I loved! You change the animation, it made the story more dark. I loved this end, she was worst than the son.
At 4:12 she says she caught a rat with her trap,and in the end she says "Next to him,was an empty sit of our rat of a father".And she also said that hes son resembles his father alot,meaning that he is also likely to be a hunter and probably puts traps every where,but the father probably got caught on one of it,but it's not the son,the sister put a trap on somewhere she knew where her father would be,and thus making the son the culprit of the death of their father,this is most likely to get revenge on him because he hates what he does to her.
this is just a theory so i suggest read other people's theory to just satisfy that mysterious feeling.

Wait wait so if the sister is the maid, why did she become a maid in the first place? Wasn't she the golden child of the family? Did her father disown her or smth? Is it because of the piercing? I'm confused about this part
So basically, I was trying to convey that the mother valued her reputation and didn’t want to take in a child that wasn’t actually hers. The father is also hinted to be a cheater because he comes back home smelling like cigarettes. Hope this helps!

Little reminder
i assume that the father had been killed by the son when they had came back from the forest, as seon mentioned "I finally found a dead rat in one of the traps" and towards the end seon also mentions "next to him was the empty seat of our rat of a father" so its safe to assume the meat was the father, but when you watch this video a few more time's you would realise that seon never actually showed the face of the sister, and she also mentioned that the brother was over whelmed by the pressure as he was the next head of the family while the sister was the pride of the family, and rumors even spread that she would be the next head instead so it would make sense that the pressure only increased for the brother now that there is competition for the position of the next head. Seon also specifically includes that the sister got her ears pierced and later on when they talk about the singular earing in the meat the "maid" says "I'm the only one with my ears pierced" meaning shes the sister? i was sort of confused but makes sense since the face of the sister was never shown for a reason meaning the sister was the maid all along the son probably killed the father to become the head. In the description seon mentions " Also I colored it in black and white so the plot twist would be less obvious" if she did color this the physical features would look obvious. "next to him was the empty seat of our rat of a father" back to this line the "maids" face shows almost identical eyeballs to the sons. To clarify it the sister was probably sick of having to act perfect all the time, and now that the brother acted up on her she probably wanted to ruin they're reputation.
This is a pretty overthinking theory but since its seons video i wouldn't be surprised with these mysterious endings that stay on peoples minds, anyways let me know ur thoughts by replying to this comment.

Really unusual visual choice: never saw 80th-like color filter.
The story generally felt like a 80th Horror.
the suspense is very well built. I loved this story!
woah- i had to watch it two times to conclude on some points
1. The maid is the daughter if the house because she’s said that she’s the only one with the earring, and in the beginning it was said that the daughter went against her parents and got her ears pierced, also, in the end we see how her eyes are identical to that of the father and the son, “yellow”
2. She killed her father, because when she comes back from the hunting she says about the “rat” getting caught in the trap, and in the ending she called the father to be a “rat” again.
3. The son had the pressure from the family so he probably hated his father too and had a hand in killing him and take his place (i’m a little sceptical about it but- 🤷🏻♀️) as everyone in the dinner thought the son to be the father, and “praised him for his hunting” but the father’s seat was empty as is said by the maid/daughter.
I can’t connect the dots between the points where the father comes home late, and smells of cigarettes, we see that the maid is seen to be smoking a cigarette too, and the part where the maid says that the father was waiting in his son’s truck.

No the brother killed his dad and gave the meat to the sister. Brother took Dad's place and The sister cooked dad's meat instead of deer.

For those interested according to historians during the first acknowledged Thanksgiving Feast deer meat was brought by the Native Americans because they weren't sure the Pilgrims had enough for everyone. In fact they didn't have a lot of foods we eat now for the dinner, they may have even eaten lobster which wasn't the delicacy it is today. However, in the context of this story, it's better to have Turkey instead of human flesh, which is not acknowledged by anyone for the original Thanksgiving Feast.
Ending was obvious but I love your animation style and your soothing voice☺

I think the maid isn't actually a maid. Instead, she's the sister. In the beginning of the story, she said that the only time the daughter rebelled to her parents was when she got her ears pierced, and almost at the end, she said that she was the only one with ears pierced.
The son killed his Father and told the sister/maid to dispose it, but she decided to cook the Father instead of cooking the deer.

So I got this clear somehow after watching it twice..
1. The daughter's face is not shown at all in the video,only the body and shoes are shown.
2.The maid is the daughter as in the last she said she was the only on with pierced ears and the daughter had pierced ears , so the maid is the daughter.
3.She was probably born from an affair of her father with another woman, because the mother was giving her a bonus and besides if she was abusive or something and she was her own daughter, then why would she even pay her?
4. The daughter ( maid) killed the father, as after she went on deer hunt with him, she found the 'dead rat caught in her trap'. At the end of story, she refers her father as a 'rat'.
5. The son probably found the body of his father, or he had already planned the murder with his sister or she might have placed some 'trap' she probably encouraged the son to kill the Father, and the son did so because he was dealing with a lot of pressure
5. In this way she would now frame the son for the murder because she already hates her brother.

the maid the son and the eye of father were all brown at the end, the maid was the sister all along that's why she followed her father into the woods without question, that's why he had smell of cigarettes cause she was the one smoking and he spent nights with her haunting; when she found the piercing in the meat she said "i was the only one piercing" it dropped from her when she was in hurry to make the meat; and she exposed her brother to get rid of him at the end

oh my goood, i knew it, i knew something was off with the maid, the similar looking hair, the feet and her knowing too much about the family but especially the fact that she wasn’t approached by the daughter and that empty seat
Wait so it was the father who died, and he was killed by the brother. But the brother only wanted the father in the freezer, not to be eaten. The daughter (who was actually the maid all along) decided to swap it around because maybe she was tired of being the golden child or something. But why did the father bring her out to hunt the deer, and why was her earring in the father's meat? And why would the daughter, who was the maid, be standing there during the dinner and then just leave? I DONT GET ITTTT HELP

I don't know- I'm confused- 💀💀- but my theory is the maid and the daughter are the same person and that she and his brother plan to killed there father, and as she says that she's the only one who has pierce ears i though that the daughter also has one and it's also the only time she rebelled so I thought that after she rebelled at her parents they punished her and then she became their maid (?) But I also observed that only the mother, the father and the son talk to her and it's kinda weird that only the daughter don't and that's when I think that because she is the daughter she couldn't talk to her self so there's no conversation of her and the daughter... so yeah- I don't know anymore- 💀💀-
