Wellcome back! I am so happy whenever some shares their love for "The Dandelion Dynasty" and Ken Liu. Jia Matiza is one of the most comple character I ever read.
@@PonderingsOfPete No kidding 😆 I'm loving it though and it is my primary read, I made the mistake of reading it at the same time as Hobb's Golden Fool and a few days ago spontaneously started a re-read of R Scott Bakker's Prince of Nothing trilogy 😅
Great video Pete, I’m disappointed that you consider a 10 minute video a ramble! 😂it’s such a great series. I also love the leadership. I’m always fascinated what it takes to be a great leader and what needs to be sacrificed to get things done!
*sigh* Fiiine. I'll give this series another shot. Bouncing off it the first time was a case of, "It's not you, it's me," anyway, so maybe it will work out this time.
Noted. I honestly hadn't made it through Grace of Kings last time and just really wanted to be reading something else. If I'm convinced to try such a book again, I tend to do so in audio, so I can half-listen to the parts I already read and whatever threads were losing my interest before. This usually gives me enough context for when they (hopefully) pay off later, at least.@@PonderingsOfPete
Everyone read these books. These books are beyond amazing.

Great video, Pete. I'm halfway through The Veiled Throne and I've 0 doubts this series will stick to landing and become an all-time favourite.
Glad to hear it! Have you reached the part that throws everyone off a little bit?
@@PonderingsOfPete if you mean then cooking competition then no, not yet lol
@@thatsci-firogue worst kept secret at this point 😂

Thanks! It felt more of a ramble before I took out some of the repetition 😂
I've had this series on my radar for a while, so I love hearing your thoughts on why you love it. Great video!
thanks! hopefully you pick it up soon. well worth it x1000
So what I'm hearing is I should check this series out
Nah, don’t think you’ll like it. You’ll hate, in fact and want to throw it in a dirch
@@PonderingsOfPete sounds good, excuse me while I go rate them all one star just in case
Yeah Kyle, stick to WoT and Ernest Cline 🤪
I think you might like them Kyle, but idk

How far did you get in? I highly recommend going through Wall of Storms to see if it clicks
