My family doesn't qualify or :need" free breakfast and lunch, but their school provides it anyway. It has been such a blessing. One less stress on working families. Yes we can afford to provide bfast and lunch, but i'ts AMAZING when it's a hectic morning and I know they will get a healthy meal at school! It uplifts all working families not just those in poverty.

Walked into my primary school last week and I saw my teachers that taught me. Saw their conditions and felt they really deserve more . They taught lawyers, engineers, doctors and so many important others. They deserve more
True. We had one superb teacher at my high school (well a few, but Mr. Billings REALLY stood out). He was a widower (cancer) at 54 when I graduated, and we all knew he loved to sail his little 22 foot Catalina. We also had heard him talk about wanting to have a larger boat when he retired to live and travel on. Just before our ten year reunion, we heard he was going to retire. 125 out of 155 in our class pitched in to get the money needed to buy him a nice Catalina 30. Fortunately, the owner was impressed, because he was asking $25,000, but he accepted the $22,340 that we raised. He died at 89 in 2015, but before he did, he spent 20 years sailing the Caribbean. He helped make our dreams come true, and we were all proud to make his come true.
The fact that he made sure that feminine products were put in school bathrooms makes him one of the best candidates ever! The world cannot believe there is a politician that can drag the USA up to the rest of the developed world's level! Finally! Wow! I'm a proud Canadian Social Studies teacher, and we are paid/remunerated relatively well for the overload we manage. Our salary/benefits differ depending on the province/territory/district we work in, our years of experience teaching, and our University credentials. Was a teacher for 20 years in a state where there was a very weak, almost invisible, union. My fellow teachers and I suffered a lot of abuse because we were each all alone in any dispute with an admin or a parent. I often think how much better my professional life and my effectiveness as a teacher could have been, if I'd had a union on my side.

True. We had one superb teacher at my high school (well a few, but Mr. Billings REALLY stood out). He was a widower (cancer) at 54 when I graduated, and we all knew he loved to sail his little 22 foot Catalina. We also had heard him talk about wanting to have a larger boat when he retired to live and travel on. Just before our ten year reunion, we heard he was going to retire. 125 out of 155 in our class pitched in to get the money needed to buy him a nice Catalina 30. Fortunately, the owner was impressed, because he was asking $25,000, but he accepted the $22,340 that we raised. He died at 89 in 2015, but before he did, he spent 20 years sailing the Caribbean. He helped make our dreams come true, and we were all proud to make his come true.

Being a teacher in Canada is one of the highest paying jobs with amazing benefits. I know because my parents both were. My aunt in the US was a teacher and made peanuts 🥜 and struggles in her “ golden years”. This is PROGRESS!! Fight the billionaires .

Was a teacher for 20 years in a state where there was a very weak, almost invisible, union. My fellow teachers and I suffered a lot of abuse because we were each all alone in any dispute with an admin or a parent. I often think how much better my professional life and my effectiveness as a teacher could have been, if I'd had a union on my side.
