I love this movie due to its creativity and mythology of Voorhees, but I love the movie in general due to itself being so different and oh man the gore! And the story!
I love how the waitress in the bar gives a good fight to Jason. P.S one of the film's iconic scene is when Jason hits the mouth of the big fat girl bar owner and her gums move inside
I personally consider Jason Goes to Hell canon. Jason did in fact drown at age eleven in Crystal Lake but Pamela Voorhees used the Necronomican aka Book of the Dead to resurrect her son but Jason didn't return home to her and lived in the woods of Camp Crystal Lake so Mrs. Voorhees continued her serial killer spree of vengeance until Alice decapitated her. But the curse worked and resurrected Jason with superhuman strength and durability, as well as regenerative powers but outwardly more human and vulnerable to physical mortal wounds. But even the more outwardly human Jason in parts 2-4 possessed superhuman strength and supernatural durability plus regenerative abilities, albeit lesser than the completely undead Jason of Jason Lives onwards. The reason Jason's demonic possessed heart and soul within it didn't leave Jason's corpse when he was physically killed by young Tommy Jarvis in the Final Chapter and buried for a decade or more, trapped at the bottom of Crystal Lake by teenage Tommy Jarvis in Jason Lives for years via boulder attached to a chain Tommy wrapped around Jason's neck and again by Tina in part 7 is because the writers of the previous Friday the 13th films didn't know New Line was gonna take over the Friday the 13th series by part 9 and make the last minute decision to give Jason supernatural origins from the start. Jason's soul haunted Tommy from beyond the grave in the form of supernatural visions and dreams that were so called hallucinations from ptsd. Jason possessed the mentally ill, unstable, violent, sociopathic teenager Vic to make him kill Joey Burns in a New Beginning and Jason's soul and the demonic forces inside of Jason's heart and soul possessed Roy Burns as well, although Roy went insane from grief and acted on his own halfway. After Tommy inadvertently resurrected Jason's corpse from the grave via lightning drawn to the cemetery fence Tommy impaled Jason's corpse with in a frenzy, Jason was resurrected a second time with far much more superhuman strength than before, complete invincibility, enhanced regenerative powers and teleportation abilities plus a very massively built, large, bulky frame. I believe Creighton Duke researched and studied the Necronomican after Jason killed Duke's girlfriend when he was young. That's how Duke figured out that because it was a female member of Jason's bloodline that conceived Jason and cursed Jason with the Book of the Dead, only a female member of the Voorhees family could kill Jason with a Kandarian dagger that could send deadites or similar demons like the demons inside of Jason's heart and spirit to Hell or make Jason reborn to his original body. Made sense to me.
Everyone thought so... but at this time, Duke didn't realize that Steve, Alice, and Jason had made a big mistake... No way, Jason did. Still, no one knows that this place where my sister Diana lived was the closest place to another horror movie, Elmguy's nightmare killer Freddy Krueger rampaging Elmguy... ・・・ (Freddy's hand comes up, then laughter) Next Friday the 13th, Elmguy's nightmare will return with Jason... (Running Elmguy Nightmare Music)
I couldn’t agree more. The blu-ray I have has this chopped down theatrical version. I tried to use my uncut dvd but it wouldn’t work on my PC. If I ever obtain a high def copy of the uncut version, I’ll make a separate video for it. The uncut gore scenes are worth it
Yeah people do seem to me mixed on the New Line Cinema F13 movies. I don’t mind them, they have some great moments. I especially enjoy Jason X as a fun movie
This movie inspires me to work on my technique so I can make someone swallow their chin if I have to🤣 I know I’m weird but just know when I swing that these are my intentions
Honestly, the only good part of this movie was the beginning right before they blew Jason up. I mean really, they could not have come up with a better story?! That whole idea of Jason jumping from one body to another was just stupid. The only other good thing was Jason’s look, especially how he’s worn his mask for so long it’s actually fused to his face.
According to a certain article I read, that "sauce" you speak of was actually a fruit cocktail mixed with black dye and Actor Richard Gant, who played the coroner who ate Jason's heart, was actually disgusted just by looking at it in real life. He nearly threw up. Edit: There's the article www.syfy.com/syfywire/wtf-moments-the-heart-eating-scene-in-jason-goes-to-hell-the-final-friday
Don't get me wrong, I love Jason and I love Friday the 13th, but this movie presented quite possibly the worst twist on trying to explain why Jason is like he is. I prefer a good mystery rather than crappy overexplaining, personally.
I understand why people dont like it but im a huge fan of it. Also a friend of adam marcus's as well. I do suggest everyone to watch this on dvd with the commentary. Its pretty funny and gives you better highsight about how this movie came along.
@@lukeknutson3191 Not to be mean or anithing, but Adam Marcus had never watched a Friday Film, He shouldnt have been picked just for being close to Cuningham
@@jesusramirezromo2037 he worked on the set of the first one. Yes hes seen them all and part 6 is his favorite. I actually talk to him pretty often. You have no clue man.. Cunningham is a shady business guy who uses people and tosses them like trash afterwards. Hes a garbage human being.
@Nightmare1398 first of all its a fucking movie..and second of all do you think cunningham is just gonna hand over creative control to a new young director? He got the rights back and wanted to make it a family orientated movie like the first one. How about part 5? How about takes manhattan? those ignore the early films too. Sean deserves the blame for the backhanded bullshit he pulled. Theres alot more to it then you know.

i haven't seen this movie since i was a kid and me and my sister rented it in like 1994 lol. I just watched it the other day and thought the idea of Jason's soul or whatever going from person to person was horrid. The acting and dialogue were horrendous as well. From a visual sense i thought it was pretty good. the effects and make-up i liked and some of the cinematography even. Jason looked bad ass for the short time he was in the movie and that chick in the first 5 minutes was fine as hell. It's still easily one of the worst in the series
X was one of the better ones. It's ideas actually work and honestly it's overhated. It's not trying to be something else and completely failing at it. It knows what it wants to be and executes it well. I thoroughly enjoyed X. It's humor is done well. And although in some scenes the CGI isn't good at all, the movie is really well done, imo.
