I had read somewhere that "Wade" thinks he was the very first ETA. Even Johnny Harra, aka Harry Jay, aka Johnny/Harry Lee Lovett thought he was the very first. I suppose anyone who dresses up & sings Elvis songs in front of the mirror at age 11 makes them an instant ETA? Sorry, but millions of other kids were doing the same thing, and beat you to it, haha!
Wade did it and was asked to do it again & again before it was a real thing to do...in fact Wade was the first to do such a thing in front of crowds & the man was also Elvis Presley approved.
@@b80-s9i Wade even claims that Elvis gave him a standing ovation when he visited Elvis one day & sang a song for him. I say "Where's The Proof?" Even if he did sing a song in front of Elvis I'd bet Elvis was already "Standing" when or if he gave Wade that "Standing Ovation". How about the few who claim they are the son of Elvis? With NO DNA evidence to prove it. They should all get together & get their DNA test & compare it with each other to start with, that way they can at least find out if they're all related to each other or not, hahaha!
Johnny Harra was in fact the first he was being paid for doing Elvis in 1959. Graceland if fact says this. Others had dressed up in in parades.and that kind of stuff. But harra was the first to do it for money and make a living. Wade did not do so untill 1968. For the record I knew both Harra and Wade.

Saw him at the Royal York in Toronto around that time...Great show! Even saw his Vintage Bus Parked at the side of the hotel.
Zest for life, energy and fun. Loved the shows.
