My uncle crashed two Ag Cats n lived threw it .. Strong airplane .. One was a midair with his pilot putting out 2-4D in foggy conditions.. Other was he caught a cross country high line with the tail n inverted into the marsh . Walked out of it himself .. So I know how tough n safe an Ag Cat is .. Dont know much about a thrush .. Just finally getting into it this late in life .. but it’s a passion of mine !!

Still Doing a Great Job,,, Big Speed,,, Big Money,,, Big Operating Cost Per Hour,,,,, .... Great Pilotage Talent On Display,,,,
Probably what you are seeing are swirls of air coming around the airframe of the fuselage. Some planes have drops on the center nozzles to get them out of this turbulence to keep from "lofting" the spray solution as much. The mid span pattern doesn't experience this turbulence and settles right in making the pattern appear to be uneven across the swath. What impressed me most were those winglets that appeared to eliminate the characteristic tip swirls of ag planes without winglets. Wing tip vortices typically will loft the spray 20 to 30 feet above the ground leading to uneven spray patterns between swaths and potential off target drift which can damage other crops, woodland or residential areas depending on the material being applied. Great video and well put together. Love the cigar and hate the music.
