Sounds like Chris Squire playing using his fingers instead of a pick.
I can't imagine how much string tension you are experiencing working two sets of strings at the same time.

thanks so much for the great vibes , i appreciate it..well the high tension is why its so easy to play this bass with your fingers , everything is so tight that it just locks you into the beat and the 1 of every thing , actually i really like high tension instruments for that reason , even for slaying or using a pick , its like your hitting a bell, Thanks for dropping in you totally rock M

well dang I may have to pick me up one of those 8 strings, not that I don't love my hamer 12 but I like the string spacing. gives a bit more room for diggin in.

@@themomozone Try an 8- or 12-string bass with a Pog-2 pedal. The Pog-2 can play a single note up to 5 octaves. Moreover, it is polyphonic and can handle chords without a problem. If I turn up all the octaves and play my Dean-12 though it, I have a pipe organ effect.
