looks like they must draw a fair few from the U16 team too, and they don't run a second team this year. The Mount has always punched above its weight in rugby terms and in the past always had mulitple representive players - by the looks of some of the players today they still do. Had a look at their results and they are unbeaten this season though its a shame they no longer seem to play some of the better known schools on the circuit
@@philipeafroboy1 Part of the problem is the location. They are in a suburb of Sheffield, but actually in Derbyshire Their natural fixture list should include the big Yorkshire sides, the likes of QEGS and GSAL but they don't seem interested. They have a traditional list of catholic schools they play, but have outgrown many of those teams. The only "top team" they get to play every year is Woodhouse Grove, and they've beaten them the last few years.
@@neill392 that's a shame. I know for a fact that ampleforth was sniffy about playing the mount years ago even though it used to be a regular fixture and it seems maybe others are similar. Woodhouse grove are very strong side normally so just shows the level that the mount are at
Langley 100% robbed. No one in their right mind would conclude a game like that!! Sport is based on earning a win not being given it. That home and away rule at a neutral venue needs to be binnned because it's actually shocking
@@zachscott8613 The rules in the past were team who scored 1st. The result going to the away team makes sense in the earlier rounds. It makes no sense when it's a neutral venue.
Yes it is - cojld so easily have done something like drop kicks from the 22 to decide it. Appalling way to treat these players who are still children - this from a neutral
Incredible display from Mount St Mary's - Well done lads, absolutely brilliant!!
I still come back here to laugh every so often at *them*
What was impressive about the Mountaineers performance is how small the school is. The team is drawn from a 6th form with less than 40 boys.

@@philipeafroboy1 just 2 boys in full academy set ups and 2 others in u17 pre academies. They don't seem fashionable for the Premiership Clubs.
@@rasputin1309 To be honest, they have better links with South African rugby than prem clubs.

The Langley Torquay result was a disgrace, those poor young lads..
It’s just the way it is though, if the coin flipped the other way and Langley went through I doubt you’d be annoyed

yeah very tough on us we where shocked when we found out but we was apparently drawn as the home team in the draw but oh well

@@rasputin1309 someone has to lose and overall I would say it was a very fair way to decide it.
Silly decision for the ref to call the penalty during the breakaway in the 4th minute of the last game
Langley robbed
@@dancornall7950 lowe it your own team was saying they didnt deserve to win
@@jaw_cpfc Yeah well that was just luck of the draw and it was unfortunate that you guys didn’t get through. Good game tho.

How bad is that ! In Russia young men play much better !
