I loved Istanbul. You have to go to the Pudding Shop for lunch. It's where everything happened in the 60's and they have really good food. It's near the Blue Mosque I believe. I leave for Egypt in December.
This is the first video with the intelligence to use a horse carriage rather than torture of walking around in terrible heat. So worth it to spend 25-30 USD to make experience pleasant. Every other video spends $100 of their time to save $10 off a horse trip. Good for you

The way the inside was built is strange. Really big structure. Very small passage ways and I always figured the queen and kings room would be larger with hyrogyphics everywhere. I'm assuming before the Egyptian government went it. I bet the rooms were filled with gold and treasures.

Just finished a trip to Egypt, Pyramids, Luxor, Cairo, and Alexandria. It was an experience like no other for me, wife and 2 college students children and a 7 years old. One tip for all travellers to Egypt, the Egyption people are the most kind, genuine and extremely helpful. Be generous tipping everyone you get in touch with, Drivers, hotel staff, Guides, luggage handlers, room service, and waiters. Make a commitment to tipping a minimum of $4 each time. Be generous and feel good.

And I hope you understandmy goal was to provide a “max range” of what price is fair to pay in my opinion...let’s say a whole family european wants a 4 hours ride with multiple stops to visit each single Pyramid + Sphinx and the rider is honest - why not reward him ? Of course I said max range, and of course Egyptians have better price but I couldn’t deal with every single possible case. That’s why I said you have to deal beforehand clearly, and avoid crazy amounts (anything above 500 imo - I heard of people last week paying 100 usd...)
