If anyone actually wants to know what the story behind the statue is, I've roughly translated the thing... : To keep the water from the well clean, people living on the right side of the (river) Lahn already made great sacrifices in medieval times. Because of a lack of fresh spring water, they had to use subterranean water and for this reason they did not build any sumps. To keep the subterranean water clean they used the 'Baare' as their toilet. That's how hundreds of years ago, the 'Baarenschesser' (Baare shitters) already contributed greatly to protecting the environment.
*So do we get our bare buttocks out?* Jack, i think you already did that, mate! 🤣 Can't believe i'm gonna miss this series... James laughing is the BEST thing ever! i love James and i hope he finds time to do more of this (and Stu agrees ofc). ♥
I lovr hearing James' laugh and seeing him out of character. He's great both as his stage persona and as his real self.

Brunnenwassers - i suppose that means brown waters!!
Ann Other not quite. It means water from the well. But it's close enough😂
hahaha the translation is the total opposite of what was written...
😄
bare bros
Too complicated for me to explain shortly, so here's a try in Gernan:
de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baareschesser
They shat in barrows so not to contaminate their only supply of water hence baareschesser
