    37:42 - Section 2

Jawdropping playing from the genius himself, as usual.

I studied this guy and the left foot clave deal forever. Obsessed frankly. I developed a technique splitting my left foot plying the auxiliary pedal with the heel area, and hi hit pedal with toe area simultaneously. I think I've seen this done but when i did it id never seen it before. Anyway that additional bit of coordination and independence was great. I eventually used the left foot clave using electronic samples and it was like having a percussionist playing with. For me it started with Akira and i saw the latin dude el hernandez do it well.

@pulsar-_-4504 I actually started doing that with the bass/ hat years before I saw that left pedal auxiliary rig from Akira. So it's a matter of getting the pedals matched up close to each other. But you just kinda turn the left foot toe area in on an angle to split the foot in two sections. With the bass hat deal I would keep time on the heel section on the hat and toe on double bass hits. I think on jimbos video you can see what he does with it. Anyways that guy's amazing same with El horacio hernandez who does the left foot clave with real authentic Latin grooves. Good luck.
