One time, when I was on an ASL-equipped repeater, I accidentally PTT'd too soon, right as the tone went through, and the person who operates the repeater who was monitoring it (I was talking to him by the repeater, but since it's part of a larger, interconnected network of repeaters in the subregion, i'm not sure if he was communicating by standard ameteur radio, or an RF link using HamVOIP, Hamshack Hotline or something like that) told me to wait until the tome finishes. For the record: I was on a mobile vehicle as a passenger, who was tired at the time, and it was cold in the vehicle, so that combination makes me shiver a lot, so my finger pushed the button too early.
I had to go to 775 so that it would not cut off the first part of what it would say when you hit *70 for node identification. Your mileage may vary, (Then under the [wait-times_hd] stanza change the first three lines value from 100 to 500)
If I set ASL3 for simplex without the courtesy tone, under option zero, half duplex with no telemetry (link), can I add some hang time? That way, I could get confirmation that my Shari PiHat-4U is working when I unkey my portable transceiver. Hearing the courtesy tone beeping a lot gets to be annoying, but it would be nice to have some confirmation that the Shari PiHat-4U is working with a little additional hang time.
@@daveborchard2019 I believe so. Just add the line hangtime = 1000 in your primary node stanza and see if it’s enough. If not up it a little and play around with it.
We need a allmon3 configuration video I have migrated from hamvoip and supermon. Thanks for the great Allstar Content!
Allmon 3 coming soon. But the Supermon 7.4+ is right around the corner.
Appreciate the information bud!
It's my pleasure John

Yeah It's definitely depends on the timing of your device radio for sure. LOL!
