    Grew up in North Alabama. When we were kids we always went behind the tractors that were plowing. That was arrowhead finding time!

    I found an arrowhead in Cuyahoga county as a kid. Mounted it on my dresser as my most prized possession. Last of the Mohicans !

    I hunted a field with a couple of buddies, once by myself and 2 more times by myself and we took over 750 points from it. Great video and good luck!

    Only 1% of those relics are resting on the surfaces of those plowed fields while the rest will lay buried forever.

      One of my farm fields is similar. It's packed with meteorites that show up when the field is plowed and a rain cleans the dirt off of the soil. There're chondrites, so you can't use a metal detector to find them.

    Always enjoy watching your search and finds. Use to go out with my father-in-law. Live in Southwest Ohio near Fort Ancient Indian mounds. My last find was on a river beach in Virginia, a 4 inch knife or spear point.

    So Wish I could experience this ... but I doubt my wheelchair could maneuver that mud. ha Alway Loved the "History in your Hands" of Ancient Hunters (arrowheads in particular) have purchased a few off eBay... but would LOVE to have a Hoard of points. I'm in Memphis, so you know the river bluff should be a good picking area.

    I am just amazed how many arrowheads you're picking up in a short period. I also think, since they are still sharp, that you could mount some of those to an arrow shaft, and still go hunting.

    Native Americans made very beautiful arrow heads. Tremendous skill. Seems like they should have learned to make pockets and pouches

    I guess this was a settlement area for the Native Americans who made all of these tools. It's a super high concentration in one small area!

      Gravel chert is the common material in this area and we aren't far from the areas you mentioned.

    Looked like a good day its gets kinda wierd watching from here in Colorado there is so many sources glacial cobble sedimentary rocks and volcanic sources to find two arrowheads the same color in a day isnt very likely.the animated bit was cool!

    why are the arrow heads surface face washed off from the rain but no other stones seem to fall to the same fate??? walter, the old dutchman, northeastern upper bucks county, pa.

      All rocks are washed off. It's just that there isn't any other rocks in the area.

    It’s a little bit weak on education, ie., asking questions.why so many in one place? Was it a battlefield? A very very old encampment where people lived for decades or more? What culture or period of habitation? Why are so many found in creek beds, etc.?

      Spring steel is best but sny kind of stainless steel rod will do. Matthew used a long Philips hesd screwdriver.
