What?! Who is this woman, and where in Norway has she been hiding? I've been enjoying phenomenal music here in New York for 60 years. Miss Nilsen has me stunned and in awe. She should be at the Grammy Awards, not a music competition. If her future performances in this competition are as beyond extraordinary as this audition, she will certainly be in the final with Jorgen Dahl Moe. I can't stop listening to this revelation.
She definitely deserves more recognition, her voice is absolutely mesmerising.
She is from the small town I live in (approx 13000 people) and had taken a break from music before she entered the voice. So happy she is in The voice, hope she reaches far!!

The singer, Ulrikke Nilsen, has excellent taste and excellent control but Yebba must get all the credit for creating those next generation lines and timbres. Yebba rules. Back back to Ulrikke, excellent, so VERY good. Now I am on the hunt.

I am noticing how popular Yebba is in Norway. Not complaining she is phenomenal and so is this cover (definitely does Yebba justice)!
You wouldnt believe there could be any more talents in Norway after so many amazing singers in the previous years in The Voice Norway, but they keep on streaming out. Wow! She has an incredible voice. The thing with Norwegians singers is that they dont overdo the runs and does all kinds of power «screaming»….they only use it to emphasize their voice/the song, in certain parts. There is always this distinctiveness of a clear, warm, soothing voice 😊 I also love her raspiness (reminds me a bit of Sigrid)
I don’t find it hard to believe at all, and I’m slightly concerned that you do.
Norway is home to roughly 5.4 million people. At this point, only a couple of hundred, max, have auditioned for the show. That means that only 0.0000371% of the country’s population has been on The Voice.
Even assuming that the producers go through roughly 4000 auditionees each season, that’s still only 32,000 people that have auditioned, or 0.00593582% of the population.
I really, truly, don’t see how in the hell you could ever assume that Norway would run out of promising talent.

Insane... How can anyone who is 22 years young choose this song and then sing it like that?!? Ulrikke has layers upon layers of deep, wise beauty. Unforgettable. The biggest challenge for the judges must have been choosing good songs for her after this one.
The contestant chose their own songs. Thats whats great about The Voice Norway, cause we get to hear a wide selection of songs not just the typical ones. That way the contestants show in what direction and style they like. The only time the mentors chose the song is in the duel/battle when they sing together to find a song that could fit and challenge both.

@@nicktomato7 Now I've been listening to YEBBA and James Francies multiple times since hearing Ulrikke's blind audition. YEBBA is a remarkable artist; love her voice and lyrics. 'Evergreen' is also a stunner. James Francies ... hella wow! He is so skilled and his playing emotional, rich, soulful! Also been listening to this audition again and again. Hope to hear all of her performances and that she sings her way to the finale.

My brother is now (jokingly) threatening my life, because I introduced him to TV Norway, and especially to Ulrikke's singing. Also, to Jørgen's blind audition. He's been listening again and again, and finding Ulrikke's other TH-cam videos. 🥰

Too bad they cut this video too early. Why not put out the feedback as well? Massive talent, but I fear they pick the wrong songs for her later on, like they did for all the favourites in 2021...
The only songs the mentors chose is for the battle round (duets). You see before they go on stage a clip where they show the mentors which songs they have picked in their other performances.
@@In_my_own_mind I know, I've seen the show before... But the mentors have huge impact. Very few dear to go against what the mentors think. You saw what happened last year...

This isnt a concert, this is a TV show, so the judges interactions are a part of it. They are supposed to react and show their enotions/interests through the performance. It has never bothered me. They have microphones on, thats why it sounds like they are screaming/talking loud. Have some respect and dont call an amazing artist like Ina «that seagul»…
