Wow. This is so honest, so frank, so loving, so vital. Congrats to the Baha’i institutions, communities and individuals who are doing this work, who are giving space to our Diné/Navajo and other Native American siblings to speak, to our dear brothers and sisters who do speak in this film, and those who put together this film. So well- done, so full of spirit.
beautiful example of how we can soar if we are not shackled with paternalism. was concerned to hear that only when words from the House of Justice were used did people listen. may we find greater humility and love, and be more respectful so that we can see truth and love no matter the house in which it shines.
I like this series. I think it's important to hear from voices that tell us how much the American Baha'i community can benefit from humility and an outward-looking orientation. There is a realness where we hear peoples' honest opinions and celebrate the beauty of building community while also acknowledging the personal transformation and spiritual growth it demands of Baha'i teachers. We do have to constantly struggle against the tendency of showing paternalism. I'm grateful to hear from Navajo people in the Baha'i community.
I cried. It’s beautiful. It’s us.
