Royal Yoshie actually if you think about it, not really. The smash version is a parody of the original. So i'm not really counting it as creativity.

Well Rhythm heaven had to make original characters that don't have much personality while Super Smash Heaven already had characters from many games to choose from, and weren't making them from scratch.
Bluemycool 320 lets be honest though the characters in smash were also made from scratch but not purely for smash tho but well yeah
