This is not only my favorite Slipknot song, this is one of my favorite songs of all time.
I discovered slipknot in 1999 and having heard everything from them this song is in my top 3 slipknot songs by far....the lyrics, the emotion, and esp when this came out what i was going through in my life i felt like they made this song for me😂😂😂😂

I went and seen them live 3 weeks after this dropped and i prayed n prayed they would perform it, on the way to the show my buddy said he looked the show list and solway was not on there he said....well once the beginning hit and me and my buddy locked eyes he smiles at me as i was literally in tears
These 9 guys have dropped hint after hint after hint throughout slipknots run. And this one is a big one. It's time to wake up a little more and start reeeally seeing the world we wake up in every day.

Not just a good metal song, this is an amazing song in general.
It’s the chuckle at the end before I haven’t smiled in years that just makes this song so epic wraps it all up badass song one of my favorites from slipknot all time

Those three songs I can look past the mask and appreciate the music.
Dude I've been a fan of Slipknot for a really long time, and I think We Are Not Your Kind is their best album. I really wish that Slipknot understood that they don't necessarily need to reinvent the wheel every time they release an album. We Are Not Your Kind is a masterpiece because it's Slipknot BEING Slipknot and flexing their creative identity beyond what people thought was possible. I like The End, So Far but there's a difference in regards to experimentation between organically building upon your sound from one album to the next (something the band does brilliantly from The Gray Chapter to WANYK) and putting out an album where one song sounds like Alice In Chains, one song sounds like King Crimson, one song sounds like Disturbed, one song sounds like Ghost, and one song sounds like Tool. Again, I like The End, So Far, but We Are Not Your Kind is a journey with peaks and valleys and the listener comes out the other side learning something about themselves.
For over 20 years Wait And Bleed was my top favorite, but after all this time this one might take the spot

I am looking at the Solway Firth as I'm typing this now. I'm not a fan/follower but it's intriguing that the name of my coastal sea is used. Can anyone shed any light or have any stories about why/who picked the name ? Is the album called Solway Firth also? ❤ North England.
Hey, slipknot chose it because of its dark and eerie atmosphere cuz the song is supposed to be dark and eerie. I'm not sure which member chose it tho, most likely Corey or Shawn

Never mind the UFO and jet both disappeared right in front of our eyes. I think there's a ley line, magnetic anomaly or something strange here for sure. It's lovely in summer though.
