Sheriff Judd gives details about “Operation Cyber Guardian 2," a multi-law enforcement agency two-week undercover investigation during which detectives posed as children on social media platforms, mobile apps, and online dating sites to investigate those who prey upon and travel to meet children for unlawful sexual activity. Thirteen men were arrested to include a Disney employee, a Publix employee, an Amazon employee, and a man who installs internet safety programs in schools. Three of the suspects believed they were speaking with a parent or guardian of a child who wanted to teach their "child" to have sex or arranging for the minor to have sex with the suspect. Eight of the predators travelled to an undercover location(s) with the intention of having sex with children. Five others had sexually explicit conversations or electronically transmitted harmful material to those they thought were children.
