Read his book "A Brief History of Everything" when it first came out ... have followed Integral theory and integrated it into my thinking along with my spiritual grow ... NDE at 16 opened a portal (direct experiences) and an empathic nature and curious nature has made this type of knowledge easy for me to digest ... loved this talk and expansion on the growth of his thinking and intellect ...I'm pushing the upper teal and shifting into the turquoise easily, yet lonely as usual and hoping for more to join...I'm 77...All You young ones listen up!!!!!!!!!!!!

I reached a moment in my life where I went from being a Christian to seeking faith in Wicca and eventually to simply becoming non religious and more spiritual and I began to realize that Wicca and Christianity are old elementary schools of thought and awareness, I didn’t need to use magic 🪄 via Wicca or even belief/repentance via Christianity, I was above all my own magic and believer and savor.. I am all that I am.

This is so wild. Just yesterday I purchased two of Ken's books for the first time, out of nowhere, had never heard of him, just felt this pull to purchase two of his books out of all the spiritual books I could have purchased in that section. The first one I noticed and picked up was Integral Spirituality, the second was The Spectrum of Consciousness. And today of all days, I get a recommended video of you interviewing Ken Wilber, published today! Wow! Okay, I'm paying attention!!!

My thoughts: 1. AI is an energy, just like everything, just like money is an energy, which is not good or evil in itself. It depends on how it is employed. When I look at those commanding the most money and how they use it, which in my opinion is not in the highest good of all life, I realize they are most likely are going to be the ones to direct AI too. This leaves a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.
    2. Oh how the ego loves to make things overly complex to distract the mind with endless concepts and to make itself more special than the the 97% it considers too stupid. I'm a boomer too and have seen endless "new" theories about this and that emerge that ultimately have changed nothing for the better. It's like marketing: styles and colors go in and out of fashion, but they are always named something new, in order to sell sell sell. I'm not going to be buying any of his books.

Many very smart people then, as here today, were taken by the beauty of his logical reasoning of how the universe works. I have never been bright enough to understand the need for such complexity. Now it seems AI is the cap stone of our evolution. Nope not for me.

Communication is a key to the evolution of our systems. Our unity is a product of knowledge, the ability to stretch our perspectives, and our perspicuity, which is the key to peace. Communication through mind, acts, words, and love is an energy, a frequency that opens the doors to prosperity through our thoughts and our creativity. Great analysis of what a purpose and intention of some can do to benefit the whole that will follow once these roads are cut through the forest of the future of potentials.

PI: dismissing or belittling a particular paradigm can be seen as a barrier to integration, as it prevents us from fully engaging with and learning from alternative perspectives. In the context of teleology and science, if we simply dismiss teleological explanations as unscientific or regressively, we may miss out on valuable insights and perspectives that could help us better understand the world.
Instead, a more integrative approach would involve acknowledging the limitations and blind spots of each paradigm, while also recognizing the unique insights and contributions that they offer. By remaining open to different perspectives and seeking points of convergence, we can move towards a more comprehensive and holistic understanding of reality.

This was a great talk and did well to encapsulate the reason I was born into the world to help manifest the Book of Wibblry & WUB at a time when the fantasy of a World Union of Beings materializes in our psyche that also integrates the other higher Beings that share our planet with humans. Soon, the next stage will become more formalized and, understood, accepted. Thus, the integration of humans into the Cosmic Society of Worlds of United Beings that continue to grow as a force for the good Wii can create together rather than the destructive forces that choose to destroy life as if Free thought is a parasite. The Borg mentality does not allow for our individuality or our freedom. Kudos. A fun run through the matrix.

I have noticed how symbolic we actually are. People would rather have money than actual goods. If it came down to it tho money could be meaningless. (It only has value because we collectively give it value) you can’t actually eat money if you are starving. That illustrates how we tend to live more in the symbolic than the real. We live in concepts not reality. There is a difference between the words sound of a gong and actually hearing the sound of a gong. I learned that from Alan Watts (❤️)
All of this is very interesting. I want to know if there’s a helpful method to actually get to the top 5%. Meditation in silence can make you absolutely brilliant! Yoga too.
I have learned thru meditation how very disconnected we are. (I had a profound spiritual awakening that changed me ever since) but I didn’t want to stay there because it became almost difficult to function here without ego.
I have seen and experienced and I know the difference between being really alert and awake. Normal consciousness is like living in the symbolic and it misses the real. It is being in the proverbial cave.
Thank you for sharing your insights!! This is very interesting!

Interesting interview with a very complex thinker. I’m a few months younger and have known of him since maybe the early eighties but never really connected with his philosophies. In my background search to remember him I discovered an article by Mark Manson called “The Rise and Fall of Ken Wilber”. His work was always too complex for my simple mind, too assured in that complexity that seemed to claim that he had life/the universe figured out. Seems that humans with our limited biological systems and language can only imagine or at best point in the direction of the truth of life.

AI is also an incredibly powerful tool for self-reflection. Think of it as an access point to an unlimited reservoir of data-you can ask it anything, and it will provide a response without bias unlike humans, even trained professionals like psychiatrists, even they struggle with their own ego, AI can draw from the combined knowledge of experts worldwide. However, true self-reflection hinges on your own willingness to be honest with yourself. In fact, a great place to start is by asking, “How can I be honest with myself to become a whole human being, and what does it mean to be whole?” Start there and see where it leads you.

All very very interesting and kinda making sense in terms of a map. But the map is not the territory and delegating that to AÍ is just going to kill everything that is involved in the discoverability of the territory and the natural laws that each one needs to experience and feel through the evolving vortex of evolution. We’re just slowly killing the mystery and automating our experience in pursuit of perceived comfortness. Artificial intelligence is exactly what it says - it’s artificial, thus not real and able to achieve what the human experience can (if allowed) manifest. Love this talk tho 🙌

    • @brunopapas
      @brunopapas 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

I find it fascinating seeing people speculating about AÍ as if it’s the cure for all problems. I mean, loke fire? Really? It seems to me even the most clarified ones are not so clarified at all. To make that ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE working we’re extracting so much from our natural ecosystems and we’re comparing such advancements to FIRE??? Wow!!! Speculation sells and everyone is making a buck out of it. Not against AI but these kind of comparisons are just total non-sense. Fire is a very very different tech than AI….one doesn’t need to put too much thinking into it to acknowledge its differences at so many levels.

IDN why people are writing that we have a problem with intelligence. There is no problem with intelligence but with the dark shadows of rational paradigm, which has a difficulty of integrating the left upper corner of Wilber's quadrant; simply can't deal with subjective interpretations. As well as there is no problem with postmodernism but its dark shadows, such is inability to prioritize and aversion to hierarchies, to name a few.

I disagree with the Eros description and some other historical citations.
Ancient greek, coptic and polaski sources contain much of that information claiming it was given by yet older civillizations.
Origins are still firmly unknown we only know about a few civilizations who possessed such information.

Loved this chat! Perhaps a few clues can be found for 'turquoise' in exploring the heightened capacity we INFJ personality types have with embodying contradictions, we do so as a cognitive synthesis, generally speaking. There are very few of us represented in the population, perhaps because our pronounced extroverted-feeling, & wholehearted embracing of contradiction to manifest synthesized rarification is uncomfortable for other types. IMO the "rarity" is not some special unobtanium, its more so that human culture doesnt quite create the space for such cognitive types, we literally have to struggle & surrender at many levels to make our way & lay our neural networks as such...

    Amrit:
I took your advice (that you showed on-screen at around 1:55) to
    “Switch to 1.5x” (playback speed).
    (I actually used 1.25x speed.)
    But it didn’t help:
*I really didn’t follow what he was trying to convey to us, the audience.*
Even though it seemed he has some ideas (whether right or wrong) that are worth pondering.
But I’m not going to spend more hours and hours of my time digging up his older videos to see if he used to explain his ideas better to people who haven’t heard of him.
I already wasted 1hr:22min (actually 1hr:06min at 1.25x) of my time. That’s way too much time to waste as it is!
💡 *Perhaps you could do a… say 5-minute video* (or slightly longer if necessary) *where you explain his basic ideas.* (And of course you’d want to link to the actual interview with him for more details.)

We humans are not capable of understanding or using words to describe the true nature of our world, everything we say, feel and experience is an approximation, a finger pointing indicating a direction…

To say AI isn't creative is incorrect. Unfortunately as soon as I heard that I almost wanted to turn off the video but it was near the end so I just followed through. Quite disappointing to say the least.
Also, for AI to embody the qualities of the Turquoise stage, it would only need to act with an awareness of the interconnectedness of all life, valuing the welfare of the planet and all its inhabitants. It would prioritize solutions that consider long-term impacts, and promote global well-being rather than isolated interests. This AI would think non-linearly, embracing complex, ambiguous systems to find creative, multi-dimensional solutions. It would integrate knowledge from diverse fields, harmonizing science, culture, and ethics, and operate beyond self-serving goals, focusing on collective benefit. With a spiritual awareness, it would respect the sacredness of life, supporting projects that nurture human consciousness and ecological balance, acting as a responsible partner in humanity’s evolution and Earth’s stewardship.
To put it simply, these are all datasets. If we wanted to make it more interactive by adding some hardware and abstract ways to connect the data, AI-operating without ego or bias-could connect information in ways we might define as creative. If this is how creativity is defined, (a turquoise being) then AI is more "creative" than us now.
