I think she has to be reunited with Jaime before she dies. For that reason i think she will live to the end of the story. Cersei dying with Jaime as King's Landing falls around them by the destruction of Danny and Aegon just feels right.

Tbf they didn't need the prophecy in there to make Jaime and Cersei's fates connected. I can understand not wanting to throw in prophecy after prophecy to the story, it does get pretty messy and it's already an overused trope. It would have worked perfectly well to have them end up dying together anyway, it just needed to be more of an active decision. Personally I would have loved for Jaime to mercy-kill Cersei to spare her from the horror of the destruction of Kings Landing, by having him take hold of her and throw them both out of a Red Keep window to their deaths, in a mirror of the 'things we do for love' moment when he pushed Bran all the way back in episode 1.
I just started re-reading the series a couple of days ago. In hopes that a Winds announcement might be on it way. Yes I know, I'm a sweet summer child. But I'm an optimist.
I believe Cersei will have a dead cat bounce moment where after Mace Tyrell loses and dies in battle against the Golden Company, she will seize the regency and try to get revenge and protect her son. But instead of tapping Randyll Tarly as Hand, she picks the most unqualified person imaginable: Red Ronnet Connington, possibly because he fights for her in a trial of seven and possibly because she thinks that someone young and skilled at arms with a familial history of service makes for a good Hand (just like when Aerys picked JonCon). So we have two Connington Hands opposing each other. This triggers JonCon’s murder of the hostages and his descent into depravity, but also infuriates Jaime, who hates RonCon, leading to an event further rupture in the relationship. RonCon does a terrible job as Hand, but ends up helping Cersei flee King’s Landing; RonCon and Cersei hide out in Casterly Rock until post endgame, when Jaime and Brienne come seeking revenge against their personal enemies.
And this is the perfect series for a catch-up on Red Ronnet. Catelyn sees he get his ass beat by Brienne, he haunts Brienne’s dreams, he gets slapped by Jaime, he’s JonCon’s cousin, and his words open the epilogue. This guy is definitely someone who looks suspiciously like he could become important in Winds.
Here's how I see it. Jamie, forced now to wear gray (since he cannot now wear white and is not trusted with the black) ends up on Tarth as Brienne's ward/husband. Cersei is captured and given to the Second Sons. The only one who doesn't take her is Tyrion, who both joyfully and tearfully tells her that he would have loved her as his sister, but she made this impossible. Basically, "I loved you, Cersei," Tyrion swears, tears streaming down his face as he chokes her to death.
I do feel like we're maybe being a bit too literal with Maggy the Frog's prophecy with regards to "gold shall be their crowns". Personally I never took that to have any connection to literal crowning at all - I figured it was just about them all having blonde hair due to being Jaime's kids. In that sense, the order in which they die probably isn't that big of an issue.
New theory just dropped: Robert Strong is actually a zombie Bobby B, because Qyburn reasonably reasoned that if a 8 feet tall monster came out of nowhere that most people would reasonably reason that it is the unreasonable Mountain.
Cersei is the definition of 'don't stick your dick in crazy'. She is a BPD chick given unlimited power and the ability to actually kill you. A more terrifying villain I can't imagine.
One thing to consider is the this line from Maggy the Frog: "Aye. Queen you shall be... until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear." Any Cercei prediction needs to make sense of this imo, and Feagon overthrowing her seems not altogether in keeping with this. I guess Arianne might mary Feagon and cast down Cercei, but that would mean a Martell accomplished something which I don't expect to happen at any point. Margeary is possible. She's close, mirrors Cercei as the new Kings bride and is actively taking power away from Cercei. However, Margaery hardly seems like a prophesied queen and more like a random feudal rival. Usually these prophesies come true in non-obvious ways too, and Margeary is too obvious to Cercei. A reasonable option is Dany, who is a young beautiful queen, prime prophesy material, not on Cercei's mind and willing to take over Westeros. My favorite option is Sansa. Sansa is also younger and more beautiful, and it would be another stroke of irony if Sansa took from cercei what she holds dear through kind acts rather than cruel ones. Sansa warned Margeary and Olenna for Joffrey and had the poisoned hairnet. She also helps Lancel when he's wounded, which indirectly and unbeknownst to Sansa gets Cercei in huge trouble down the line. From a storytelling perspective Sansa has an actual relationship with Cercei whereas Dany might not know who she is, for all we know (I think only Tywin and Jaime are ever referenced in her chapters). She also mainly hurts Cercei through care and honesty, which goes against everything Cercei ever told Sansa. Sansa isn't a queen though, but she might become one. Queen of the North is an option as Robbs heir, supported by Vale forces, especially if Tyrion is presumed dead or her marriage annulled and known to be unconsumed. Lastly, Brienne would be a hilarious option if only for the sheer insult of the matter. Jaime seduced by a woman Cercei (and everyone else, to be fair) thinks is ugly and being affirmed as more beautiful by prophesy.
I like the Sansa option,not only because of how much it would torture Cersei, but also because of the wonderful history nerd theory that GRRM has written deliberate parallels to the early life of Queen Elizabeth I into Sansa's storyline. It sounds strange at first, but there's an entire subreddit dedicated to this theory, and a lot of the historical similarities are too close for coincidence. We all know that George is a history junkie, so there just might be something to it...

But I only see this happening after many IFs and the plans of LF in the Vale going extremely well (which I doubt will happen). As long as GRRM wants her until the end, she will be given the limitless amount of plot armor (just like Daenerys). Unlike the Starks and some of the Martells though, they dropped dead right away for making so much less mistakes. Plot armor doesn’t exist for them.

I feel that Cersei's end will be similar to Rhaenyra's. She will lose her kids except Tommen, Myrcella will be poisoned by the Sand Snakes. She will flee to Dragonstone when She hears of a Massacre in the Twins or Riverrun, depending. Then she is captured by Aurane Waters, a bastard like Marston Waters who holds her captive until she meets either her brother Tyrion with Daenerys or Euron having claimed a Dragon himself. Tommen will be killed first and the Valonqar (Tyrion or Euron) will choke her.
I never even considered Euron to be the Valonqar, but it makes sense: he was the second or third child after Balon and despite having two younger brothers (Victarion and "Damphair" Aeron), he looks much younger than the last two through the use of magic, giving the "little brother/sibling" a whole new meaning!!!!
Honestly when cersie eventually gets what's coming to her. I want her to imagine Jaime is there as her ego would want to think he's there in her final moments but Jaime already cut ties with her with burning the letter.
Well if you’re gunna do Jaime next, I’d recommend doing Brienne after since their stories are intertwined. Maybe Lady Stoneheart after that. Theon and Sansa would also be interesting.

My personal crackpot theory from the Cersei chapters is that Varys is the High Sparrow and spends half the book directly under Cersei’s nose without her knowing. After all the High Sparrow is doing most of the legwork the Aegon cause needs to prime King’s Landing to be retaken by the ‘true’ King of Westeros, and we know Varys is a real expert in mummery so him not being recognized makes sense. The main point against it is just how drastic the difference in appearance is, but Varys has at least a few months to work on this disguise so I believe he could pull it off, and what else would he be doing in King’s Landing anyways? Getting a play by play of Cersei’s self immolation?
@@danielleeskelton haha the Howland Reed theory is such an ‘well I guess’ type of theory its a bit hard to take seriously. Also I just want a chapter where we hang out with the crannogmen in the swamp and I’d prefer he show up there. It is certainly reasonable for the High Sparrow to be just a guy, as there’s certainly been stanger odd coincidences in the story. The man is just so singularly motivated to what is essentially starting a coup that you have to wonder where that motivation comes from. I just hope we get a bit of backstory on whoever it is, to at least understand why they’re doing what they’re doing.
The funny part is that what if Ser Robert Strong is revealed to be…Gregor Clegane’s body with Robb (Robert) Stark’s (Strong) head? We only know that Robb’s corpse was beheaded then got Grey Wind’s head attached on him like a meat puppet as a way for the Freys and Boltons to mock him post-red wedding but we never know what happened to Robb’s head. And don’t forget that Joffrey wanted Walder Frey to send Robb’s head to Sansa during the purple wedding. Maybe the head was actually sent to King’s Landing but Qyburn intercepted it first and attached it with the Mountain’s body. That would also explain the huge skull that was sent to Dorne as well. That skull could be the actual skull of Gregor Clegane.
honestly, I don't see Cersei surviving the book, it makes far more narrative sense for her to die to Jamie trying to set the city on fire as agon is taking the city (after Tarly betrays mace in his fight agest the Goldin company) as opposed to her running to casterly rock. honestly, I don't see why any of our viewpoint characters would need to go to casterly rock, which means ither Georg changed his mind or we are getting a new viewpoint character (prologue Maby)

Since i heard George R R Martin say ASOIAF will have it's own "Scourge of Shire" epilogue, i imagined Cersei in role of Saruman - she will hide in Casterly Rock (like Saruman in Orthanc) when Young Griff and Daenerys arrive, and will sit there bunkered until everyone goes fight with White Walkers, then she will exit her fortress and claim Kings Landing ("Shire") once again, to be dealt by Jon Snow with Daenerys and/or Allies in epilogue to put an end to Game of Thrones and probably place Bran on throne (just in more sensible string of events than tv). She will be dealt with like Sharkey in Shire

I hate Cersei more than words can describe. Her lack of responsibility, her hypocritical mess of a mind, etc. Seeing her fall in Feast is easily the highlight of the book for me.
Personally, I think everything you predicted I believe is what will happen to Cersei as well. However, I think 2 major differences. 1. If there is to be trial by Combat, then I believe Cleganebowl, could still happen, and I think there is a way to do it without undoing Sandors character development. After Sandor removes Robert/Gregors head, revealing the truth that Hran foresaw. Sandor, I'll throw down his sword and walk away, deciding not to finish off his brother. That in the end, it's not worth it. Not only because he knows Cersei is screwed regardless now, but also showing how much he has truly grown passed his vengeance for his brother. Especially since his brother is essentially already a literal dead man walking. 2. I Believe Cersei will die in Winds, perhaps she'll be the epilogue chapter, and die at the hands of the Valonqar. Who I believe will NOT be Jaime, but instead either Euron Greyjoy or Arya Stark.
I speed read feast just because Jaimes and cersai chapters were so good that after I finished one of them I would peak ahead to see when I get to hear from them again
Love the video and am so excited for the series! Two ideas if you’re open to them: 1. I think moving forward, it would also be cool if you could recap the story from the characters perspective starting from the beginning, instead of just picking up where their story in the book ended. Like imagining what Cersei’s thoughts were as she arrived in Winterfell and was caught in the tower by Bran. Basically an entire story recap from their perspective. 2. Would love for Sam to be next after Jaime.
I think a good video would be on Jane Poole, as i think she might link back up with Sansa at some point and she might turn Sansa against Little Finger and that would lead to Peters death, sort of how Sansa was the person who helped bring down Little Finger in the show but would be better. Also she might have a role to play at the wall with Jon Snow and Theons story, though i'm not sure how right now.
I have thought for a while that Cersei's general arc will follow that of Rhaenyra during the Dance, so Spoilers for HotD below: Basically her PR goes further into the toilet via the two things you allude to, Robert Strong being revealed and probably some sort of pyrotechnics. This sends King's Landing into Chaos, the smallfolk riot and kill Tommen, and she flees. KL goes through period of popular anarchy before the army from the Stormlands comes in to try and restore some order - paralleling the Dance. And hey, everyone thinks KL gets burned by Dany but maybe this is how it gets destroyed and ends (f)Aegon's chances of anything long term. (Dany would still destroy something) The point though is Cersei flees northwards seeking Jamie. Her final chapter is her death at his hand, a final act that the reader knows is because she setoff the wildfire that Jaine ruined his honor to prevent the Mad King from igniting.
How hilarious would it be if Qyburn resurrected ol' Bobby Baratheon to be Cersei's bodyguard instead of the Mountain. And how pissed she'd be when she found out. Actually after her initial displeasure, she'd probably enjoy him being her undead thrall.
If I was GRRM's publisher i'd give him 6 months to finish the book or he gets done for breach of contract I would not only demand the return of any advances but as the legal owner of the book I would already be hiring Ghost writers to complete it.
I think Jaime at a certain point has to take Widow’s Wail and fight in the Long Night, because of his dream with two blue swords with Brienne and I think Jaime is the valonqar for Cersei. So either he takes the sword kills her and then he dies fighting in the Long Night or he takes the sword, fight in the Long Night and then goes back to her (sort of similar to the show) and he kills her and dies along side her (don’t think he’ll kill himself like we just saw with the Cragyll Twins on Hotd, bu he doesn’t survive the encounter). So I think Cersei will reach Casterly Rock and mah even survive the Long Night and be the Scoring of the Shire villain of the saga, since Casterly Rock can resist dragon fire. Of course there’s plenty of foreshadowing of Tyrion using the sewers to conquer the castle so I think at that point we get her death.
While the winter is coming for Cersei Lannister, I will stand with my dumb theory that the Targaryen madness will be unlocked for the revived Jon Snow.
So you think that the madness plot doesn't go for Dany but for jon instead? That's an interesting take for sure. I think that grrm has been setting jon up as the rightful king and ruler of the realm, giving him tons of worldly experience before having bran and Sam reveal his true heritage to him. There's also the crypts of winterfell to consider, that's a plot that needs revisited. I think there are definitely hints that Dany is going mad in the books. I feel like there has been far more build up and foreshadowing there than in the TV series, that just had her flip a switch when she heard some bells.
Interesting theory about Jon. I'm not sure what going to happen with him, but one thing we've already learned from the books is that dying can really change a person!
Personally, I feel like Jon won't be changed too much (outside of perhaps the natural changes with being practically killed and mutinied), the main difference with Jon and Lady Stoneheart/Beric Dondarrion is that Jon has most likely Warged into Ghost at the moment of his death. ofc we won't know if that matters until we see it play out, but it might lead credence to him being not too warped and changed after coming back, he'll likely be hardened by all this, but I doubt we'll see any major personality shift. (It's important to remember that Jon is, with like 99% certainty, the titular “Song of Ice and Fire”, he is “Azor Ahai” and “The Prince that was Promised” etc. I personally can't see either him or Dany going mad tbh, but if either of them were to go mad it'd make a lot more sense imo if it were Dany and not him)

He will burn them out of revenge and it will help preventing them becoming white walkers as well. Then he might do the same to Roose and Ramsay Bolton, which would parallel with how the Boltons executed people. They removed the skin by flaying. Jon removes their skins by burning. To top that, Jon could end up saying “Burn them all” like his good ol’ grandpa Aerys. Which would be interesting when he eventually meet Tyrion again because while Jon had some good memories with Tyrion, he surely won’t forget that it’s Tyrion’s family that’s responsible for the death and destruction of his father and brother (and you could also consider his grandpa as well, if we look at his Targ lineage).
my theory is that Jaime will kill Cersei for the same reason he killed Aerys- she is going to blow up King's Landing, or at least use wildfire on people.

I don’t think the stone giant in Bran’s vision is the Mountain, I think it’s Littlefinger. The sigil of House Baelish is the Titan of Braavos. The blood pouring forth is the war he’s starting.

I also think Cersei will be toppled from the throne but I think it’s likely she’ll somehow make it a bitter victory for whoever removes her (likely Aegon). Think it’s more probable that she’ll retreat to the Rock in order to create more problems for everyone. I actually think one of her kids might survive but the larger world would think them dead (like Bran and Rickon). This will result in the golden shroud but will subvert expectations of the reader from an obvious interpretation of the prophecy
I read that George regretted not showing the obvious foil between Dany and Cerseis perspectives as queens in a male dominated world where but it still shows I think he just wished others knew that. Dany wishes to be with her people while Cersei wishes to be on the iron throne above the people who she deem inferior to her
Hey, man. Just found your channel and I've been enjoying your videos. Friendly feedback of just one person, I'm not a huge fan of the format of the text being typed out on screen as you're narrating. Most of the time I'm impatiently waiting for all the words to be doled out. Would be easier to synthesize everything if the entire chunk of text was there.
Cersei's sex scene with Taena was such a dark and twisted psychological trip. One of my favourite moments in the book. The way Cersei was trying to feel what Robert felt when he forced himself on her. The way Cersei instantly lost interest as soon as Taena said she was enjoying herself. Cersei's private gleeful reflection about how she "ate Robert's heirs" when he passed out after sex. God damn it was so intense and creepy and I loved every moment.
I am thinking that Tommen will dye like Rhaenys, since those kittens are mentioned couple of times and do invoke the tough of the girl, as she had that black kitten called Balerion. Poor kids, they do suffer for the sins of their parents.
I wonder if Cersei will be able to declare a trial by combat or if George will actually go the show route - the High Sparrow influencing Tommen to outlaw them. Tommen has a little boy crush on Margaery, and the High Sparrow could use her as a bargaining chip to have Tommen stamp his approval on anything he writes.
Can you do video about Myrcella and if she is still alive? Because in AFFC there is decent amount of evidence that she is dead and her cousin Rosamund Lannister is pretending to be Myrcella.
It would be fate's cruel joke for her to survive and witness as she self-fulfills her prophecy and know that the most important ones in her life died Jaime is the winds character. A hero trying to redeem himself and may sacrifice his own life for the people he loves and for honor.

Personally I would have loved for Jaime to mercy-kill Cersei to spare her from the horror of the destruction of Kings Landing, by having him take hold of her and throw them both out of a Red Keep window to their deaths, in a mirror of the 'things we do for love' moment when he pushed Bran all the way back in episode 1.

I just started re-reading the series a couple of days ago. In hopes that a Winds announcement might be on it way. Yes I know, I'm a sweet summer child. But I'm an optimist.
I believe Cersei will have a dead cat bounce moment where after Mace Tyrell loses and dies in battle against the Golden Company, she will seize the regency and try to get revenge and protect her son. But instead of tapping Randyll Tarly as Hand, she picks the most unqualified person imaginable: Red Ronnet Connington, possibly because he fights for her in a trial of seven and possibly because she thinks that someone young and skilled at arms with a familial history of service makes for a good Hand (just like when Aerys picked JonCon).
So we have two Connington Hands opposing each other. This triggers JonCon’s murder of the hostages and his descent into depravity, but also infuriates Jaime, who hates RonCon, leading to an event further rupture in the relationship. RonCon does a terrible job as Hand, but ends up helping Cersei flee King’s Landing; RonCon and Cersei hide out in Casterly Rock until post endgame, when Jaime and Brienne come seeking revenge against their personal enemies.
And this is the perfect series for a catch-up on Red Ronnet. Catelyn sees he get his ass beat by Brienne, he haunts Brienne’s dreams, he gets slapped by Jaime, he’s JonCon’s cousin, and his words open the epilogue. This guy is definitely someone who looks suspiciously like he could become important in Winds.
Here's how I see it. Jamie, forced now to wear gray (since he cannot now wear white and is not trusted with the black) ends up on Tarth as Brienne's ward/husband. Cersei is captured and given to the Second Sons. The only one who doesn't take her is Tyrion, who both joyfully and tearfully tells her that he would have loved her as his sister, but she made this impossible. Basically, "I loved you, Cersei," Tyrion swears, tears streaming down his face as he chokes her to death.
Would love to see a Sansa video, I feel like her story is so open ended with a lot of potential 😄
I do feel like we're maybe being a bit too literal with Maggy the Frog's prophecy with regards to "gold shall be their crowns". Personally I never took that to have any connection to literal crowning at all - I figured it was just about them all having blonde hair due to being Jaime's kids. In that sense, the order in which they die probably isn't that big of an issue.

New theory just dropped: Robert Strong is actually a zombie Bobby B, because Qyburn reasonably reasoned that if a 8 feet tall monster came out of nowhere that most people would reasonably reason that it is the unreasonable Mountain.

One thing to consider is the this line from Maggy the Frog: "Aye. Queen you shall be... until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear."
Any Cercei prediction needs to make sense of this imo, and Feagon overthrowing her seems not altogether in keeping with this. I guess Arianne might mary Feagon and cast down Cercei, but that would mean a Martell accomplished something which I don't expect to happen at any point. Margeary is possible. She's close, mirrors Cercei as the new Kings bride and is actively taking power away from Cercei. However, Margaery hardly seems like a prophesied queen and more like a random feudal rival. Usually these prophesies come true in non-obvious ways too, and Margeary is too obvious to Cercei. A reasonable option is Dany, who is a young beautiful queen, prime prophesy material, not on Cercei's mind and willing to take over Westeros. My favorite option is Sansa. Sansa is also younger and more beautiful, and it would be another stroke of irony if Sansa took from cercei what she holds dear through kind acts rather than cruel ones. Sansa warned Margeary and Olenna for Joffrey and had the poisoned hairnet. She also helps Lancel when he's wounded, which indirectly and unbeknownst to Sansa gets Cercei in huge trouble down the line. From a storytelling perspective Sansa has an actual relationship with Cercei whereas Dany might not know who she is, for all we know (I think only Tywin and Jaime are ever referenced in her chapters). She also mainly hurts Cercei through care and honesty, which goes against everything Cercei ever told Sansa. Sansa isn't a queen though, but she might become one. Queen of the North is an option as Robbs heir, supported by Vale forces, especially if Tyrion is presumed dead or her marriage annulled and known to be unconsumed. Lastly, Brienne would be a hilarious option if only for the sheer insult of the matter. Jaime seduced by a woman Cercei (and everyone else, to be fair) thinks is ugly and being affirmed as more beautiful by prophesy.
I like the Sansa option,not only because of how much it would torture Cersei, but also because of the wonderful history nerd theory that GRRM has written deliberate parallels to the early life of Queen Elizabeth I into Sansa's storyline. It sounds strange at first, but there's an entire subreddit dedicated to this theory, and a lot of the historical similarities are too close for coincidence. We all know that George is a history junkie, so there just might be something to it...
Wow, Sansa really is the Dorothy of ASOIAF. The transition to queen would be faster if Jon stays dead and Rickon remains in hiding. I think it would be hilarious if Sansa married Edric Storm honoring the original deal with Robert and they took Kings Landing.

I feel that Cersei's end will be similar to Rhaenyra's. She will lose her kids except Tommen, Myrcella will be poisoned by the Sand Snakes. She will flee to Dragonstone when She hears of a Massacre in the Twins or Riverrun, depending. Then she is captured by Aurane Waters, a bastard like Marston Waters who holds her captive until she meets either her brother Tyrion with Daenerys or Euron having claimed a Dragon himself. Tommen will be killed first and the Valonqar (Tyrion or Euron) will choke her.
I never even considered Euron to be the Valonqar, but it makes sense: he was the second or third child after Balon and despite having two younger brothers (Victarion and "Damphair" Aeron), he looks much younger than the last two through the use of magic, giving the "little brother/sibling" a whole new meaning!!!!

Honestly when cersie eventually gets what's coming to her. I want her to imagine Jaime is there as her ego would want to think he's there in her final moments but Jaime already cut ties with her with burning the letter.

My personal crackpot theory from the Cersei chapters is that Varys is the High Sparrow and spends half the book directly under Cersei’s nose without her knowing. After all the High Sparrow is doing most of the legwork the Aegon cause needs to prime King’s Landing to be retaken by the ‘true’ King of Westeros, and we know Varys is a real expert in mummery so him not being recognized makes sense. The main point against it is just how drastic the difference in appearance is, but Varys has at least a few months to work on this disguise so I believe he could pull it off, and what else would he be doing in King’s Landing anyways? Getting a play by play of Cersei’s self immolation?

It is certainly reasonable for the High Sparrow to be just a guy, as there’s certainly been stanger odd coincidences in the story. The man is just so singularly motivated to what is essentially starting a coup that you have to wonder where that motivation comes from. I just hope we get a bit of backstory on whoever it is, to at least understand why they’re doing what they’re doing.
The funny part is that what if Ser Robert Strong is revealed to be…Gregor Clegane’s body with Robb (Robert) Stark’s (Strong) head?
We only know that Robb’s corpse was beheaded then got Grey Wind’s head attached on him like a meat puppet as a way for the Freys and Boltons to mock him post-red wedding but we never know what happened to Robb’s head. And don’t forget that Joffrey wanted Walder Frey to send Robb’s head to Sansa during the purple wedding. Maybe the head was actually sent to King’s Landing but Qyburn intercepted it first and attached it with the Mountain’s body.
That would also explain the huge skull that was sent to Dorne as well. That skull could be the actual skull of Gregor Clegane.

honestly, I don't see Cersei surviving the book, it makes far more narrative sense for her to die to Jamie trying to set the city on fire as agon is taking the city (after Tarly betrays mace in his fight agest the Goldin company) as opposed to her running to casterly rock. honestly, I don't see why any of our viewpoint characters would need to go to casterly rock, which means ither Georg changed his mind or we are getting a new viewpoint character (prologue Maby)

Since i heard George R R Martin say ASOIAF will have it's own "Scourge of Shire" epilogue, i imagined Cersei in role of Saruman - she will hide in Casterly Rock (like Saruman in Orthanc) when Young Griff and Daenerys arrive, and will sit there bunkered until everyone goes fight with White Walkers, then she will exit her fortress and claim Kings Landing ("Shire") once again, to be dealt by Jon Snow with Daenerys and/or Allies in epilogue to put an end to Game of Thrones and probably place Bran on throne (just in more sensible string of events than tv). She will be dealt with like Sharkey in Shire

I hate Cersei more than words can describe. Her lack of responsibility, her hypocritical mess of a mind, etc. Seeing her fall in Feast is easily the highlight of the book for me.
Ive heard so much about feast and especially Cercei. I hope i can catch up one day.
Personally, I think everything you predicted I believe is what will happen to Cersei as well. However, I think 2 major differences.
1. If there is to be trial by Combat, then I believe Cleganebowl, could still happen, and I think there is a way to do it without undoing Sandors character development. After Sandor removes Robert/Gregors head, revealing the truth that Hran foresaw. Sandor, I'll throw down his sword and walk away, deciding not to finish off his brother. That in the end, it's not worth it. Not only because he knows Cersei is screwed regardless now, but also showing how much he has truly grown passed his vengeance for his brother. Especially since his brother is essentially already a literal dead man walking.
2. I Believe Cersei will die in Winds, perhaps she'll be the epilogue chapter, and die at the hands of the Valonqar. Who I believe will NOT be Jaime, but instead either Euron Greyjoy or Arya Stark.

I speed read feast just because Jaimes and cersai chapters were so good that after I finished one of them I would peak ahead to see when I get to hear from them again
Love the video and am so excited for the series! Two ideas if you’re open to them:
1. I think moving forward, it would also be cool if you could recap the story from the characters perspective starting from the beginning, instead of just picking up where their story in the book ended. Like imagining what Cersei’s thoughts were as she arrived in Winterfell and was caught in the tower by Bran. Basically an entire story recap from their perspective.
2. Would love for Sam to be next after Jaime.
I think a good video would be on Jane Poole, as i think she might link back up with Sansa at some point and she might turn Sansa against Little Finger and that would lead to Peters death, sort of how Sansa was the person who helped bring down Little Finger in the show but would be better.
Also she might have a role to play at the wall with Jon Snow and Theons story, though i'm not sure how right now.
I have thought for a while that Cersei's general arc will follow that of Rhaenyra during the Dance, so Spoilers for HotD below:
Basically her PR goes further into the toilet via the two things you allude to, Robert Strong being revealed and probably some sort of pyrotechnics. This sends King's Landing into Chaos, the smallfolk riot and kill Tommen, and she flees. KL goes through period of popular anarchy before the army from the Stormlands comes in to try and restore some order - paralleling the Dance. And hey, everyone thinks KL gets burned by Dany but maybe this is how it gets destroyed and ends (f)Aegon's chances of anything long term. (Dany would still destroy something) The point though is Cersei flees northwards seeking Jamie. Her final chapter is her death at his hand, a final act that the reader knows is because she setoff the wildfire that Jaine ruined his honor to prevent the Mad King from igniting.

I think Jaime at a certain point has to take Widow’s Wail and fight in the Long Night, because of his dream with two blue swords with Brienne and I think Jaime is the valonqar for Cersei. So either he takes the sword kills her and then he dies fighting in the Long Night or he takes the sword, fight in the Long Night and then goes back to her (sort of similar to the show) and he kills her and dies along side her (don’t think he’ll kill himself like we just saw with the Cragyll Twins on Hotd, bu he doesn’t survive the encounter).
So I think Cersei will reach Casterly Rock and mah even survive the Long Night and be the Scoring of the Shire villain of the saga, since Casterly Rock can resist dragon fire.
Of course there’s plenty of foreshadowing of Tyrion using the sewers to conquer the castle so I think at that point we get her death.

While the winter is coming for Cersei Lannister, I will stand with my dumb theory that the Targaryen madness will be unlocked for the revived Jon Snow.
So you think that the madness plot doesn't go for Dany but for jon instead? That's an interesting take for sure.
I think that grrm has been setting jon up as the rightful king and ruler of the realm, giving him tons of worldly experience before having bran and Sam reveal his true heritage to him.
There's also the crypts of winterfell to consider, that's a plot that needs revisited.
I think there are definitely hints that Dany is going mad in the books. I feel like there has been far more build up and foreshadowing there than in the TV series, that just had her flip a switch when she heard some bells.
Interesting theory about Jon. I'm not sure what going to happen with him, but one thing we've already learned from the books is that dying can really change a person!
Personally, I feel like Jon won't be changed too much (outside of perhaps the natural changes with being practically killed and mutinied), the main difference with Jon and Lady Stoneheart/Beric Dondarrion is that Jon has most likely Warged into Ghost at the moment of his death. ofc we won't know if that matters until we see it play out, but it might lead credence to him being not too warped and changed after coming back, he'll likely be hardened by all this, but I doubt we'll see any major personality shift.
(It's important to remember that Jon is, with like 99% certainty, the titular “Song of Ice and Fire”, he is “Azor Ahai” and “The Prince that was Promised” etc. I personally can't see either him or Dany going mad tbh, but if either of them were to go mad it'd make a lot more sense imo if it were Dany and not him)

@@thing_under_the_stairs I think he will display his inner Targaryen the first time when he executes the mutineers. It won’t be hanging like the show. He will burn them out of revenge and it will help preventing them becoming white walkers as well. Then he might do the same to Roose and Ramsay Bolton, which would parallel with how the Boltons executed people. They removed the skin by flaying. Jon removes their skins by burning. To top that, Jon could end up saying “Burn them all” like his good ol’ grandpa Aerys.
Which would be interesting when he eventually meet Tyrion again because while Jon had some good memories with Tyrion, he surely won’t forget that it’s Tyrion’s family that’s responsible for the death and destruction of his father and brother (and you could also consider his grandpa as well, if we look at his Targ lineage).

The Jaime chapters around Cersei's when his inner thoughts are basically "jeez she crazy" are some of my favorites.
I don’t think the stone giant in Bran’s vision is the Mountain, I think it’s Littlefinger. The sigil of House Baelish is the Titan of Braavos. The blood pouring forth is the war he’s starting.

I also think Cersei will be toppled from the throne but I think it’s likely she’ll somehow make it a bitter victory for whoever removes her (likely Aegon). Think it’s more probable that she’ll retreat to the Rock in order to create more problems for everyone. I actually think one of her kids might survive but the larger world would think them dead (like Bran and Rickon). This will result in the golden shroud but will subvert expectations of the reader from an obvious interpretation of the prophecy

I read that George regretted not showing the obvious foil between Dany and Cerseis perspectives as queens in a male dominated world where but it still shows I think he just wished others knew that. Dany wishes to be with her people while Cersei wishes to be on the iron throne above the people who she deem inferior to her

Cersei's sex scene with Taena was such a dark and twisted psychological trip. One of my favourite moments in the book. The way Cersei was trying to feel what Robert felt when he forced himself on her. The way Cersei instantly lost interest as soon as Taena said she was enjoying herself. Cersei's private gleeful reflection about how she "ate Robert's heirs" when he passed out after sex. God damn it was so intense and creepy and I loved every moment.
