Axiom 61 dismantle and fix. Tricky way to fix faders broken plastic head and new encoders on the way. Purchase The Original MIDI Signal tester here www.ebay.com/i...
I am also an electronics engineer and music composer. I have got this model as well but it has a pitch wheel issue. Apparently its a common thing with these particular models. The pitch wheel does not centre at a value of 64 anymore. It's like 71 now instead. I did a full dismantle and there is nothing you can do. There is no calibration procedure and the wheel pot cannot be moved or adjusted either. I even took the pot apart and its worn around the centre position. Parts are very hard to get for this too. In the end I bypassed it by rewiring to a 10K linear pot and setting it at 64 and popping it back inside. It's all you can do really. I am going to buy their latest model now. Hopefully they have improved the pitch wheel assembly.
btw i own the same model too AXIOM61 but its like new, cause i never really used it cause i am no piano player...lol use it as a midi controller with the sliders knobs and pads
Very good idea about a 10K trimmer to set 64... I was thinking about changing the potentiometer position instead of the wheel. I believe it's a potentiometer problem, probably change of the resistor inside, I found that with regular volume faders. Thanks for letting us know! All the best and good luck with the purchase.
@@viocaia Address is correct. It shows in my mail app that I sent it as well. It did not bounce back. I just sent the same email again from my Gmail account as well
@@bobnolan6452 It should be USB MIDI off...I don't have the keyboard so I can't check it, but I recall it was working for sure with classic MIDI 5 pin...

in Cubase you can recalibrate it with a realtime setup adding or deducting like -7 BUT is it really constant at 71 in centerposition?

@@jazzdude7014 No not at all. It varied from 71 at centre to 78 sometimes and even under 64 as well.

@@viocaia The pitch wheel pot position is locked actually. I was hoping to be able to move it too but could not.
How did you go? I sent you Enigma. Did you get it OK and install it etc..
Thanks ...but I got nothing. I checked the spam too. Please check the address, viocaia@gmail.com

@@jeffevansmusic I got it ! Thank you so much!
I did it! It's working great, see my last video. Thanks again Jeff!
Did you ever figure out why no midi out on the 5 pin connector?
In fact there is MIDI out, but needs to be switched on from a front button. It is working!
@viocaia can you tell me which switch? I have tried the "edit" "midi out". Toggled it to on and off, but still no midi out on the 5 pin.
@@bobnolan6452 That one! Check the cable.it should work. I tested my self on a arranger module.

@viocaia thanks. I tested with known working setup and still doesn't work. Maybe internal hardware issue. I can work around this.
