@@funfunkafun yep. Shuuhei shikai true ability comes from the chain part which can heal any injuries shuuhei suffer as long as he has enough reiatsu. His bankai took it to the extreme where the chains will wrap around shuuhei and his opponent neck, drain both of their reiatsu, and keep healing both of them every time they suffer any injuries until both of their reiatsu run out. Shuuhei only use his bankai when he fought against an opponent that he can't win through normal method and his allies are nearby. Tl;dr: his bankai basically aim for a draw and he need other people to kill/capture the opponent when they both passed out.
