as someone who worked as a full time pro touring keyboard player decades ago, it's fascinating to get this peak behind the curtain, the insight to modern day tech..................thanks for allowing us to experience this......................
Absolutely brilliant. Sometimes the gear makes the player but this is a perfect example of brilliant musicianship combined with great tools. You make it look easy Jaden but your playing is just world class 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One of the best Keys POV videos: 4k capture, nice point of view with all the keys and other devices like Korg Nano Kontrol, and we can see other musicians over there,.even the audience, with all the lights and smoke... A great show. You are right to play as you play, varying straight playing with strong accents on the strong beats/downbeats, and other accents on the weak beats. STRAIGHT PLAYING is the key, to make people clapping in their hands, guys!
Thank you for sharing Jaden God Bless your talent and keep on glorifying the Lord with your playing to inspire new musicians to play for the Lord SOLI DEO GLORIA👆🙏☺️❤️
Wow..OK. so this is super cool. Seeing and hearing all the commands there on stage..I think this is a very original video..others should learn..that's awesome..and all the keyboards sound and mixing sounds so good. Good stuff whoever posted this 👍
Amazing performance bro. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Thank you jesus for the gifts and talent. Blessings to you and your ohana bro. Aloha from Maui, HI 👏🙌🙏🤙🏾

First off, wow! You sound absolutely incredible-I’m super inspired by your performance! I’m a blind keys player myself, and I love exploring different setups and approaches to making music. I think I hear you using Keyscape in there-sounds amazing! I’d love a detailed overview of your setup and the behind-the-scenes process of how you create your sound. Keep up the fantastic work, and I can’t wait to see what you do next!
Such a performance. Super interesting but still in pocket. And so fluid running all those sounds and SFX. Well-done. Would love to get a peak into your setup, sound and mindset for shows.
We have a guy similar in the UK called Howard Jones, surround himself with keyboards, synths very incredible how they remember everything without sheet music, you wouldn't see it in the dark, very impressive!
@@johnngaruiya8143 No, it's not playing by ear as that is only refers to hearing music and immediately playing it. They can remember all those notes because they practice those notes over and over again. "Repetition is the mother of skill." People don't realize how many times he has played that. Probably over a thousand. That's how they remember. If you KNOW the piece well enough that you can play it effortlessly, memorization is the least of your issues. It will have been memorized long before you ever perform it. If you're prepared that is. For classical we typically practice a piece most days of the week for months before performing it. Each time we practice it we are usually playing it several times. Do the math and that equals a LOT of repetitions. The big problem is not getting dulled out by the repetitious nature of practice. To counteract that we often will play the piece with no emotion, just the notes, trying to get them ingrained and effortless so we can play with no sense of strain. This keeps the emotion fresh when needed.
Playing keys for Christian bands is definitely recommended for any artist wishing to get plenty of exposure and experience as a gigging musician - you’re almost always able to get live work and tour the world too for some incredibly gifted musicians. I spent several years after leaving the armed forces doing this, without being ‘sucked’ into anything either - take it or leave it but you *will* definitely feel something that many might call ‘The Holy Spirit’ - I personally called the buzz from when things just happen to go right on the night - I felt the same thing in just as many mainstream gigs bro I can’t comment, I know hard I worked for me in this life to just pass it off to some estranged father-figure I do fine without that I don’t pander for any eternal ever after - I didn’t exist before I was born, I won’t after I’m dead. 👍😉🤷♂️🇬🇧
Ran into your page on accident. Nice keyboarding, love the sound selection. Are you using factory sounds off that Nord or are you using like Mainstage? The Fantom and Jup80 sound great as well. I've been considering a JupX but I've been looking at the 80 as well. Props that you have everything memorized, music, transitions, sounds, etc. Must have a photographic memory :)
. I just bought the ROLAND fantom ex 8, I changed shop, if I dare say I was before at the brand with three tuning just for the quality of the piano sounds! Hey Jaden, killing performance bro! I see from the comments you are using VST synths, would you tell me which one is this VST fast-synth you playing when using the nord? Really loved it
I found this by accident. It's some amazing music, and I don't have time to listen to it all, but very interested in listening to the final mix. Beautiful stuff. Please provide me a link.
Hello great video and gig!!!!! Can you tell me what is the sound brass name you play at 03:13 minute? Is it a standard soun of Nord Stage? Have you processed the sound with any effect or eq? Thanks in advance
Perfect part playing. How many parts??? Ehhhhh No Charts? Shoot me! Brilliant. Patch changes on demand and even has time to scratch his nose! Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee
Every keyboard has their own separate line being sent to front of house, 6 lines in total. Im running the nord throigh an interface that is communicating with my laptop. This allows me to run my sounds off certain vst's through ableton, all while still using stock sounds from the nord if i want.
Hey Jaden, could you make a video of you doing keys for Tauren Wells' set on the Holy Forever tour?

What a professional, experienced musician, a blessing to a band that has people like this...

Totally agree. He just feels at home doing all that. And that was a a lot. With very little mistakes. Well done!

Advantage of playing by ear sir
Howard Jones has been a staple in the synth industry since the 80s. He's been playing the same songs since :)
