Mind you,Russia supplies the European Union with gas, which they use to produce electricity for the whole Europe. And Russia still have constant electricity and Nigeria can do same.Afrerall Ghana is not the only country who buys gas from another country to produce Electricity.

@emmanuelartthur354, re-read your own submission if it makes any sense to you, Nigerians never compete with Ghanians in anything instead it's you Ghanians that always want to compete with Nigerians, we Nigerians compete with Greatness and not our fellow African brothers and sisters, Nigeria do not have electricity started by you Ghanians and south Africans recently followed your footsteps, Nigeria is a generator republic started by you Ghanians, a nigerian can never sit-down and be searching for negative things to say about other countries " we only put individuals in their rightful place when they tried to play smart or tough, the same you Ghanians went to destroyed Nigeria embassy in your country, have you ever seen Nigerians do such but I do not blame you individuals instead i blame our useless and corrupt incompetent Government " if it was Sani Abacha that was nigeria president at the time" he will shut down all Ghana embassy and company in Nigeria for such insult and shut our borders against Ghana until you learn to respect you king's, Nigeria have been supplying you electricity for decade's and you had the guts to mocked the fingers that feeds you, when you Ghanians has no country Nigeria was your home millions of you and thousands travelled overseas with Nigeria passports before Jerry John Rawlings liberated Ghana, the smallest state in Nigeria is bigger than Ghana and you compared yourselves with such country with 36 states excluding Abuja, you claimed Ghana isn't nigeria problem and that Nigerians should go ask their governors where their gas money are when over $300 millions is in Ghana, do that makes sense to you or that one in ghana isn't money?

@@chivicworldTV my sis, I have one question for Nigerians oo, and since u are one, I think you can give me the answer.
We know that Nigeria became rich when it discovered oil right? that is on record we all know.
So how did the oil made u rich? Does the oil turns into money every morning for your govt to pick them?
How is it hard for some Nigerians to understand that oil does not produce money but it's the sales of the oil that generates revenue for the country to boost its economy.
So Ghana buying your gas helps your country to get money, we are your customers.
And no seller want to lose a customer, there are other countries too that have oil and Gas but the nearest to us is Nigeria.
SO IF U BUY PETROL FOR YOUR GENERATOR, ITS THE SELLER THAT GIVES YOU LIGHT?
GHANA HAS PRODUCES OIL AND WE PRODUCES GAS TOO ON 2.7 MILLION METRIC TONES( ASK GOOGLE IF WE HAVE GAS OR NOT)BUT OUR GAS PRODUCTION IS NOT ENOUGH TO SERVE THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.
THAT IS WHY GHANA WOULD NOT SLEEP IN TOTAL DARKNESS BECAUSE THE GAS WE HAVE WOULD SERVE ITS PURPOSE TILL GET SOME FROM NIJA TO TOP IT
THE GAS DOES NOT GIVE LIGHT ITS USED ON OUR MACHINES. TO POWER OUR MACHINES. GHANA HAS THREE DAMS AND WE SUPPLY ELECTRICITY TO SOME PARTS OF TOGO, COTE D'IVOIRE, BURKINA, BENNIN(Google confirm everything if am lying)

Even Ghana has its own gas company.
Check TH-cam search and type in Ghana Gas company.

It's not just Nigeria, most rural areas in the world do not have electricity but they use generators e.g. if you have lived in Canada or even remote Alaska in the US, they don't have regular electricity you can search it up on TH-cam. They live in remote areas. The Eskimos up northern Canada, Igluit etc, people that live on top of the snow. They get their food supplies, gas, etc around January, February month, the coldest time in the year when the snow is hard so tractor trailers can be able to drive through the high sea which is now solidified to be able to supply them the basic things of life. So it's everywhere in the world not just Nigeria although Nigeria needs to do more work on making light very steady.

😢😢@@oluwatobiadegoke13 You're funny. We have two hydro dams that uses water to produce electricity that is Alosombo Dam and Bui Dam. We have thermal plants that produce electricity. In my region, we have the Aboadze thermal plant as well as having a Car Badge. A ship in the sea that produces electricity. There are multiple Car Badges in the country. Our resent light outs are all mismanagement and it has been sorted out. I've been in light for two continuous months now.
Even with this we still want the leaders to perform well. We have companies that uses gas and coal to produce electricity for big companies like the gold mines in Ghana. You can search Genser Energy.
If you see the letter, it is because they are informing the public which I doubt you will ever get a notice from your electricity company that you're going to have some power interruptions. We have stable electricity in my country and the government always consider alternative sources so as not to make citizens suffer and complain. We have also discovered some amount of gas in my country and hope a time will come we will no longer be buying gas from Nigeria.
I feel sad for Nigerians for allowing their few Leaders over a population of 229,000,000 to manipulate their minds and taking advantage of them and denying them what they deserve.
Nigeria Government has the capacity to produce 30,000 of megawatts to give Nigeria a stable electricity with their current budget of NGN 28,770,000,000,000 equivalent to $39,000,000,000. But they have chosen not solve that problem but to sell Generators to Citizens for few of them to make money out of it. Of course Nigeria uses gas to power some of her power stations, there are various sources of energy like hydro etc in Nigeria. We have Kainji dam, Egbin power plant, Shiroro etc Mambilla power is ongoing. Ghana total power generation is about 5000MW and it's enough for the entire country of 30million, but Lagos state Nigeria needs that or more, with about 25million population, while Nigeria has over 213 million population, and generates much more power than Ghana, but Nigeria needs over 25000MW to guarantee constant power supply to every part of the country. Bro!Have u checked their land size, their natural resources, their petroleum resources?Their problem is they all want to be bosses and they all think they’re above one another…The problem with Nigerians is showing off which encourages massive corruption.I worked with three guys in a service yard when I first relocated to the uk,all three were claiming to be something far from who they were, one was claiming to be a law student but couldn’t even string simple sentences. The other will show off sitting in high earned restaurants in London doing videos and posting on Facebook as if he is some high income earner in uk. The other will pose as a past student of South Gate technical college and a current student of East London University but couldn’t express his thoughts…he will come to work pretending he was tired from school assignments…and when u ask them they will tell u it is called “PACKAGING”.That is their problem showing off I have colleagues in the health sector who will tell u of common health workers from Nigeria driving around in range rovers in uk..And when they see the “common” humble Ghana with just 30million people ,tiny land size, less oil reserves less forest size being recognized by others they don’t like it. In my own interaction with them,I knew they felt i was “stupid” cos I was calm and unassuming…They are interested in packaging rather than what’s in the package…

You generate revenue from the oil by countries buying from you. What your govt needs is to get buyers for the oil and gas, so Nigerians should appreciate that other countries also contribute to the growth of their economy.
Ghana produces gas but o. 2.7 million metric tones is not enough so we need to get a top up from Nigeria. Because we have gas that is the reason we are not gonna be in total blackout, we will use our gad to support.

Ghana buys .. it's not for free. Moreover, Nigeria sells gas ..not electricity. We buy the gas and use it for what we want to use it. You can have something but may not know the use of it. Better learn from Ghana how we use to convert it to electricity. So let Nigerians be educated well and know the difference between light and gas. That's where your ignorance come from.

The gas bought from Naija only generates about 10% of the power needs of Ghana. We have Akosombo, Bui, and other Independent Power Producers (IPP). Gas is not electricity just as cocoa is not chocolate. You need to spend money to convert it. Gas is only a raw material.

Thanks lady, you've spoken wisely and intelligently. I hope those with deep knowledge would understand you. Because even in the world those countries who own China the huge debt are the USA, Germany and some European countries. Yet the Chinese don't make unnecessary noise on it. I used to ask myself why do we call Nigeria the giant of Africa whereas almost the 1/3 of the Nigerians population live under poverty. My common sense tell me that's the so called first world countries don't call themselves as giants why do we black Africans continue to believe in fantasies and a name which was coined to deceive us to believe in rubbish. Black Africans wake up and stop allowing the politicians to deceive us.

The main destination of Crude Petroleum exports from Nigeria are: India ($7.35B), Spain ($6.72B), France ($4.18B), United States ($4.02B), and Netherlands ($3.8B).
Nigeria imports Refined Petroleum primarily from: Belgium ($6.83B), Netherlands ($5.61B), India ($2.37B), Norway ($1.64B), and United Kingdom

Nigeria is to learn the technology of using their gas output to produce electricity to power the whole countty of Nigeria. Look at Russia that supplies gas to Western European countries to supplement its electricity needs until to war in Ukraine started, then the European Union sanctioned Russia. But Russia was and still able to power the whole of their country with electricity. Nigeria should and can do better by using their gas supply to power the whole country and even sell suplus of the electricity to other west African countries. Food for thought. Leave pride and arrogance and strive for excellence

  • @kofig5519

Ghana buying gas from Nigeria, is normal business practice. The West African Gas Pipeline is to supply a number of countries with gas, means Nigeria is selling to Ghana, Benin Republic and Togo gas. Before then, Nigeria uses to flare/burn/waste the gas. IN the 1990s, Ghana approached Nigeria and proposed that rather than Nigeria waste the gas by flaring, it should sell it to Ghana. It is business. Ghana has gas, but it is costlier than Nigerian gas and needs to import from Nigeria to supplement its electricity generation mix. this arrangement contributes to about 10% of Ghana's needs. If Ghana stops buying Nigeria gas, the investors in the pipeline would also lose their money. Nigeria sells gas to other countries as well including USA. I hope this helps clarify things.

Nigeria must complain. peaceful complaints.. and it must be constant and results will come.... if Nigeria has one thermal plant in each state the light issues would be sorted overnight.... One years oil sales can easily buy each state a thermal plant with plenty change.. that's how rich Nigeria is with its oil.. Number 3 or 4 in Africa... There is lots of oil reserve in nigeria.. lots

Nigeria doesn't even own the West African Gas pipeline. Its a sub regional project and Nigeria Should even be thankful to the west African countries that patronize their gas. Gas is bought and paid for and that is a source of income to Nigeria boost its economy. Imagine the whole west Africa decline buying gas from Nigeria and terminated the gas pipeline. Nigeria will just collapse and go poorer. Even with oil and gas nigeria is very poor how much more loosing their customers who help them financially by buying their gas. Ghana can decide to stop buying from Nigeria and buy from Angola etc, but we see nigeria as our junior brothers and want to help them financially buy buying their gas. Its only an illiterate that takes gas as electricity. Water, air and sand aren't the same but i m sure nigerians will see them as same thing because of illiteracy. Ghanaians need to help nigeria educational wise, the level of illeteracy in that country is too high that is while their politicians easily deceive them and twist them into believing fallacies to be happy and forget about their rights, its only few Nigerians like this TH-camr "chivicispirations" who are smart, alert and self conscious beyond been deceived by Nigerian politicians.
