    I ignored tip #2 and made a "cpu" that consisted of a basic ALU, 8 bytes of RAM, 32 lines of program memory, and immediate data going on the bus. It was terrible.

    Me and a friend built a small and limited computer (2 bits of storage and a UI to edit the storage) but since it was extremely non modular we can't make it any bigger. (it was literally custom built redstone lines and an overly complicated system that barely works) First computers, am I right?

    I always wanted to build a redstone computer, but in the end I never really finished it because I was never quite sure what exactly they are capable of doing, you know I've seen gigantic 8-bit computers but they don't do much other than counting numbers at very low speed and stuff like that. My idea was to build one that was programmable in binary code and that could be programmable to perform simple calculations and store the results in a kind of ferrite memory but I was never sure if something like that was possible as I've never seen anyone do something like that. So because of that I stopped in the middle of the project.

    How do you build a randomizer? My small computer with a full adder could really use one.

    how do you know when your computer is working?
    also will this work in java edition?

    • @ct5k_
      @ct5k_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1) When it can run programs with minimal bugs is when I consider it to be working. However, if there is a critical bug I try to fix it before publishing.
      2) I don't quite understand this question. If you are referring to the RPC1 and RPC2, then yes.
