- Just imagine this card is wyrm type; it will be so broken.
Ringowurm is good, but swordsoul on its own is already good, so this is just an extra layer of combo.

noob here, now I understand why ring wurm is a "good extender".
I still don't understand why it's UR... Now Konami if something is discreet it's automatically UR. If it's mediocre SR, if it's crap R and N. To build a deck you have to either farm for weeks and hope those cards come out, or open a mortgage. I use Assault Synchron, it's more than fine. I already have it, I use it with PUNK, Branded and everything else. You don't need a "non-effect monster", you pay your 700LP (well spent) and you bring out Baron, or even Chaos Angel with both powers active since A.Synchron is darkness and Chixiao is light.
Assault synchron is great in those type of decks. Or anything that uses chaos ruler it's great. Probably it can work here too. But the benefit here is that u get to summon a token afterwords which is a normal monster and acts as another tuner. Idk that it's really worth it in swso, but just pointing out the benefits to ringowurm over assault synchron in this context.
@@jamo1774 I understand the advantage of Ringowurm, but I don't think it makes sense to invest in a deck like Swordsouls which so far has worked without it and isn't that essential. Also if you already have alternatives, it's better to use those even if they aren't optimized... I use Ass.Synch. in many decks, Ringo practically only in Sword. Also, as good as it is, it's not worth those 60-90UR for those copies. In the end, whether one plays for fun is a matter of discussion. If you want to be the metaslave with the best performing deck, you definitely don't play Sword. And if I'm honest, my favorite is Runick-Swordsoul. And Ass.Synch. does his job well in that too because you have the Runick extenders (2*,3*, 4*, 5* and 9* in the future with Sleipnir) plus your tuner as needed. Not to mention that very useful cards and archetypes will be released in the near future, and it is better to save UR CP when possible. However, everyone can do what they want, I'm nobody. I've had my say, because that's how I do it...
I hate that only the token are Wyrm and the monster is Dragon, as if Dragon doesn't already have enough support.
If it was Wyrm it could have been actually decent support for SS, which was needed since it isn't meta since forever :/
Little note, maybe Stardust Warrior could be better instead of Metaphys Horus since it draws 1 card? (Edit: nevermind, i noticed now that Horus is Wyrm)
too late, komoney released a new archetype that has the looks of Yang Zing with synchro mechanic, and... type dragon.

I've easily got Master 5 with SwordSoul. However, it does take a decent pilot to win with this deck in the current format.
@@domokun3142 Protos is actually busted atm. You can Oreo Lock (Chaofeng and Protos) if you suspect they're on Branded (over 40 lists). And it's usually an FTK.
