    Fun! I built 8 premodern decks in paper, hopefully I’ll find players online who will play via cam 😎🙌🏻

      Hell yeah! You should look up the different Facebook groups, people are always looking for webcam matches there and in the Discord.

    the commentary and lines you bring to this format make it super easily to digest. love the videos.
    would love to see ub psychonaught again, but i understand needing to play the decks you enjoy more.

      Thanks! To be fair, I really liked the UB deck, it's just that this format has the problem that I like too many decks, and I can only make so many videos and play so many matches.

    I like the fact you are switching colours . It shows that the core is super strong but the colour might depends of the meta

    • @fpawluszmtg

      Very much so! Splashing each color has a different subset of upsides and downsides, it makes things more interesting!

    Really clean list Fran ! Really powerful vs the cataclysm list out there !

      So true, I start to like the RG list more and more, despite playing a rather old fashioned GW Terravore version myself. What I don't like about cataclysm is that the card is so situative. It can be a blast, but sometimes feels a little clunky. On the other hand, the land destruction in RG is plain and simple. Just blow up the lands, port them, waste them. Also the 4 factories are a huge advantage over most GW lists (which usually don't play them). They are great defenders and help you to attack more often, when the opponent is under a oath lock.

    • @fpawluszmtg

      Yes, I think the Gr list fixes a lot of the deck's issues. It has felt really strong and consistent

    • @fpawluszmtg

      Certainly true! I do think there are other potential ways to build the W version which I want to try, cutting Clysm and changing things around to use the Mono G shell.@@BoeseTat

      @@fpawluszmtg please tell us your opinion about shivan (why not city of brass?)

    • @fpawluszmtg

      Shivan Oasis taps for both my colors and doesn't deal me damage. This deck is aiming to spend all of its mana in every single turn, so a card like City of Brass will be doing you 3+ damage on the regular, which means 1 less card from Library.@@issmoul931

    what decks are good against it?

  • @seanswerdan7639

    I'm building this. Need moxes obv and 2 library. Somehow found a set of PACK FRESH wastelands last weekend for 20 ea. Couldn't get my wallet out fast enough. Also built all versions of madness. I was on madness day 1 back in the day and it feels sooo good to be back.

    • @fpawluszmtg

      Hell yeah! Madness is very underplayed, imo! I feel like there are a lot of innovations to be done with the archetype, and I think doing stuff like cutting Daze to reduce the constraints of the mana base are underexplored ideas.

    • @seanswerdan7639

      I built a daze list and it makes me safe to have it and c-logic, gush, foil ...but the survival lists like cyberpunker feel more powerful. I see lists that lean into the survival package or even zombie infestation and krovikan horror that look great, but I'm not buying cradles right now.

    • @fpawluszmtg

      Naturalize. Post board you also have multiple ways to interact on the stack with Blasts, and even more Naturalizes/potentially Crumble. You can also play Oath, and Terravore can definitely get larger than a 12/12.

    Is Tinder Wall legal in Premodern? I could see that being a good early blocker and way to accelerate for big turns.

    • @fpawluszmtg

      You can definitely play DB, it's always in the short list of cards that I want to include. But you actually have some non-trivial color requirements, especially since you want to be casting your red spells and your GG spells pretty early in the game. It could be a great mirror breaker tech, though, will tell you as much!

    • @fpawluszmtg

      Interesting point which I hadn't considered! I think there is a ton of value in having a land that producesboth R and G, meaning that we can use it for R when we need to (which is not that often) and then continue using it for G afterwards.

      Blood Moon is not very good in Premodern... Tsabo's Web, on the other hand, is very good against it, and since this deck has been rising in popularity that card has become much more widely played in sideboards (and sometimes even in main decks)
