    I am actually designing a rear tire replacement. Easy to install and remove for the season your in. It will eat a K track and this one! 3000 watts 52 volt on a Specialized Big Hit with the extended track attachment. Beast!

    I wanna try that setup on my 1500W 48v bike. I'm so sure it'll do near the same as it
    does with 20"wheels on pavement. Your bikes performance was frustrating to watch.
    I live in vancouver too. Wonder if we\ll get any snow this year. I think....maybe.
    Thanks for the vid.

    Canadian rules on ebikes limit wattage I think. Sounds like he's getting a good workout, he's out of breath. Need a American version.

      Honestly doubt anyone enforces those laws. Regularly see a guy riding a gas powered bike (those are illegal) and see a bunch of others going fast af. And aint no one bothering them

    Neat concept but... I've had 2 tracked bikes (including K-Trak) and they are useless. Fat bikes solved the snow riding problem and these contraptions don't appear to have any upside other than being novelty purchases. Install a motor (or two) on a fat bike and you'll have a much more versatile bike that can be ridden year round.

      There's always a but, but maybe the person who designed it had fat bikes and didn't like them so he designed something else the funny thing is I was thinking about this before so kudos to this designer I live in the area where there's lots of snow fat bikes are good they're kind of like asses everyone's got one glad to see something new

    How would you say this performs compared to a regular eFat bike? Can you get down ungroomed trails better? I winter commute in Ottawa on ungroomed and groomed bike paths on a rear hub eFat and sometimes the ungroomed trails are just too difficult on my bike. I'm wondering if this would perform better (?)

    • @Ebikebc
      @Ebikebc  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Snow bike traction and thrust in snow is 5 times more than a FAT bike. Snow bike can pull up a un-groomed slope of 18% as we show in this video:
      fat bike can hardly do powder snow even on flat.

    • @sharpuslf
      @sharpuslf 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Riding ungroomed trails is all about skill and balance. I easily passed a guy while riding uphill today on my regular FB, while he was bogged down and struggling with his E Fat Bike.
      Air down for more grip and get in 'attack position' for better balance. After a while, you will just be able to ride them normally, because your balance will be better.

      Don't you think you could use a better adjective than fat? It's also black but we aren't calling it that are we? Rascism doesn't stop with ebikes!

    Wow! Where can I buy one? how far can it go? The price? Do you think it’s powerful enough for me (74kg) to tow a fishing sled? Available in Ottawa? Thanks.

    • @Ebikebc
      @Ebikebc  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, snow bike is capable of about 18% grade with a 80kg rider. You can tow a sled with about 30kg added weight. Snow kart is offering more traction and towing capacity. see more details here: ebikebc.com/product-category/innovative-products/

    6:20 I can ride faster than you are on a regular FB, and I don't have a 2 hour time limit either. What do you do when you hit a plowed roadway with exposed sand and ashphalt?

      I have an electric fatbike and by the looks of it it does just as well in snow, even if it has only 4 inch wide tyres. One with 5 inch tyres would probably do better. I can ride my fatbike somewhat ok in about maybe up to 15cm (6 inches) of snow. A proper electric snow motorcycle (no pedaling, pedaling in deep snow is not gonna work anyway) would be nice to have however, cause when there is more than 15cm of snow the back tire just start spinning, I donno how much better wider tyres would do. Unfortunately my e-bike can't have wider tires. A "dream machine" would be an electric bike that you could switch to tracked/ski during winter and wheels during summer.
