I like how in 2002, The Source (with Benzino fully at the helm and in the deadsmack middle of their beef with XXL and Eminem) gave retroactive 5 mics to some albums (The Chronic, Ready To Die and Reasonable Doubt among them)
Stillmatic got 5 mics but there were a few weak tracks on there like Braveheart Party that should have been shelved. Had it been kept to 10 tracks like Illmatic it would have been 5 mics no doubt.

I got a gang of Source magazines. I got The Source with Eazy on the cover when he died. I got the Source when Dr. Dre left Death Row and when Tupac was going through his trials and tribulations when they had the cover of Tupac in a straight jacket.

I was very upset about that but it occurred to me that Vlad is giving other people a chance. Not too many people do that. I’d Prez is the best out of the alternates and I always prefer Vlad even though don’t always agree with him but I realized a couple days ago that it’s actually a really big deal that he is letting other people get the reigns and develop their talent. I started looking at it like that and then felt differently about it. I’ll probably still cringe initially when I first hear a different voice but I can respect it. It’s the biggest platform in this category and he has worked on it for years so that probably says something about the people he is allowing to get behind the wheel if you follow me.

The 4 albums i named are just some of albums that your favorite rappers favorite rappers are! The Dude and the 3 6 trilogy have already proven this in time! and that mo thug album is just as good as the 1st 3 masterpieces Bone came out with. The source is the most flawed system ever when it only concentrated on nyc early on! and when they finally tried to catch up they over compensated! David Banner does not even have a 4 star album imo. btw Devin The Dude and 3 6 is from the south..

We Can't Be Stopped, Mr. Scarface Is Back, The Diary, Ridin Dirty, On Top Of The World, and Soul Food are easily influential hip hop classics that helped to put the south on and held it down for them

Riding dirty to me is not a classic it simply has classics in it but as a whole it is not.. it's a 4 ino..It's not better than any of the 3 albums from 3 6 that are complete hit after hit! and long lasting results. no one emulates riding dirty and UGK only blew up after Jay Z's Big Pimping which in my opinion doesn't touch any of Riding Dirty. Three 6 Mafia s first 3 Albums AND project Pats first 3 Albums are 5 stars! Shi Three 6 Mafia got MIXTAPES that are 5 stars that were compiled in UNDERGROUND vol1-3!! To me 8 Ball and MJG ultimate classic is Starship and Rockets and that to me is a 4.5.. Goodie Mob don't have a classic album as a whole either..

We grew up reading ....
So many hip hop classic’s didnt get 5 mics but most of it was off of Benzino’s hate and jealousy of other rappers. He is such a clown to this day.
