    Excellent tutorial! I tried to do the mosaic through a an organizational logo, but unfortunately the logo was too dark to really work. I did however put the mosaic under the logo and used as a background, so still looks nice.

    I no longer know what to say not to repeat myself continuously, hahahah. Just that you do a great job and your videos are constantly discovering new tools that we use very little in Gimp and that are of great help... What I mean is: thank you so much for your help. Sorry for the mistakes : ^ )

    • @gimpworkshop9729
      @gimpworkshop9729  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha, MAK9 Marcos! Please, keep repeating yourself haha, I am happy with your positive, encouraging comments, every time. I am glad to be of a little help and hope to make a lot more vids! You say, sorry for the mistakes... what mistakes? ;-) So, thank you very much and have a nice weekend! Jan, GW.

    Hi Jan, it might be a bit monotonous, but to avoid repeating myself (since your tutorial already contains so many repetitions in editing the photos for this photomosaic portrait), I fully concur with the words that Markos wrote to you. As you know, repetition is the power of advertising, so do not be surprised if next time you receive those nice comments again. Provided that the next tutorial is of course more than worth it! ! ... hahaha :-)

    • @gimpworkshop9729
      @gimpworkshop9729  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha, Barth! Thanks so much again! Monotonous can be nice too don't you think? I appreciate very much every thumbs up, subscribtion and comment that supports my channell. So I will do my best for the next tutorial ofcourse haha. Have a nice weekend and thanks again.

    I showed this to my students last school year and they all made great portrait mosaics. However, we updated to the new GIMP 2.10 and you can no longer go to Filters>Map>Small Tiles, because Small Tiles is not there anymore. So how can this be done in GIMP 2.10?

    • @gimpworkshop9729

      Hello Christopher. Thanks for your comment. 👍 Have you tried the option that is mentioned in the video description? Best, Jan.

    I want to auto arrange photos based on color to create a larger image. This is just a semi-transparent photo layered on top of a repeatable pattern of images.

    I have no thumbnail of the two different files (the 25 pictures and the portrait picture). They just open in two separate windows. Am I doing something wrong?

    • @gimpworkshop9729
      @gimpworkshop9729  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      HI Ryan Butler! Sorry to hear that. I have made the tutorial in Gimp 2.8.22 so maybe check if your version is the same. And it is also important to start Gimp up in the default settings. Make sure to open the portrait as layer. And make sure that with every action you have the right layer selected. Hope this helps, please let me know. Best, Jan, GW.
