Wonderful interview with a great artist! Much of what Flicka says about Jackie could equally be applied to herself. In my experience of Flicka in recital, the "warmth and generosity" of what she gives to her audience is very special, making an evening spent in her presence a life-enhancing experience. Flicka gives ME "faith in human nature!" Thank you, dear Flicka, for forty years of joy!

@@baritonebynight but if you're not a singer and wished you were one... you might like to sound like someone else...but yes, we must all embrace our own sound. Sometimes though, singing like another person represents they're style...or diction or musicality....
I couldn't agree with you more, linnyloo! You're SO right. Flicka also gives me faith in human nature. Gosh, there's just no one like her, it seems. She's just absolutely incredible. Truly a treasure. God bless her! : )
Erika Cockerham She's a lady who is first of all humble & meek. A rare attribute in our time. When people are protesting armed with rifles & acting & looking like low common trash. Killing a young black man because he looked like the burglar etc. That has become the New Norm. In this world we live in.Take their weapon away & they shrink back like cowards. @@arnoldamaral7406 A singer needs to sound like themselves. Flicka would tell you that same thing.
