To be fair Danny wouldn't have a clue what those are typically worn for. Are they not something a person would wear for a wedding? That's a genuine question as I've no idea either. They hardly look like something you'd wear popping to the local t'asda.

Shababs is a staple in Birmingham hands down the BEST curry in Town. Me and my Dad and Older brother set up what we call a Curry Klub with a Capital K. We go around Birmingham trying various Curry houses and when we went Shababs we just sacked it and decided to just go there. Now we go once a month and It’s the same every single time. 10/10

But we enjoyed it so much we went back for another weeks break a year later. The Balti Triangle has been on my foody hit list for years. Its almost an urban legend now to hear of a restaurant you can take your own beer to, that has a sheet of glass on the table with the menu beneath it and serve curries in the pan they were cooked in. cj Yes I enjoyed my week in Brum and I've been back a couple of times since. The first time I went for a week was August 2020. With the pandemic it was hard to find a holiday in the uk. So we thought outside the box. I found I could stay at the Premier Inn for £40 a night, that combined with the 50% off eat out to help out deal ment I could live like a king for peanuts. There's plenty to do in Birmingham if you know where to go, here's a few places we went. Sealife centre, the Back to Back houses, Birmingham library (it's the largest library inn Europe), more canals than Venice if you fancy a wall, great views from Pierre Whites restaurant at the top of the Cube hotel. The list goes on. I know it might not be what you would expect for a holiday destination but there's plenty to do for a week away.

I can eat a madras, and it's so nice! A very nice kick and flavours! I like any naan, My favourite naan is a peshwari naan! I also like a lamb tikka makhani which is nowhere near as spicy as a madras but it's lovely! Also I like a Patia sometimes! I love spicy curries! Been eating curries for years!

Originally the balti in Birmingham was a dish of its own, you just chose what meat and veg you wanted. The restaurants were very basic, lino floors, plastic table cloths and no decorations. A shish kabab starter, balti and nann bread cost just a few quid. Then they started serving all of the other dishes in the karahi and calling them balties. I don't know if you can still get the original balti anywhere now.
