Great restoration job! The hair turned out absolutely flawless. I also liked the technique you used to clean the body with the toothbrush. Very informative video. Thank you...
Omigosh! Immensely Satisfying! I really should get to my back of dolls waiting for a spa day. I love huge hair on vintage dolls. She came out beautifully!
I never know how to style the bubble cuts I just brush out, but yours looks amazing styled! I’ve been having fun checking out your videos and I love your trick for the diluted hair gel, can you tell me your ratio for gel / water
I actually have a hair tutorial coming out shortly, just dedicated to styling hair. I will include my diluted recipe(if you wanna call it that) in the video! Thank you for watching!!:)
She looks great! Do you find it's not necessary to seal the pastels and paint with varnish or Mister Super Clear? I haven't started with repaints yet and am not quite sure how I want to approach that on more delicate dolls.
Not really on her, as it was just a lip touch up and tad of blush. The paint was pretty matte as is, but if I’m doing the whole face, brows, eyes, lips, I will spray mr super clear on the face. With any repaint you have to do a light layer, a consistency like milk. And build, but not too much or it’ll look thick and streaky. It can be hard just starting, but when you realize these are play dolls. And if you mess up with paint it’s an easy process to remove what you don’t want. Use a qtip and rubbing alcohol to remove. And try again. First attempts are never perfect perfect. However practice makes perfect, and I’m sure you will do great! And Barbie will be so grateful to have you to make her over. It’s her job afterall to strike up the owners imagination:)
Are there any specific color shades to use on these 63/64 bubblecut? I have a brunette that needs her eyebrows, lips(she’s a pink lip gal) & nostrils touched up or done again. Loving the restoration videos-found you at just the right time too!!
Great tips as always. I really like these videos where you restore the vintage Barbies.
Fantastic video as always, thanks for sharing!😊

You honestly have to try your best at color matching. It’s really tedious.lol I will stare at vintage examples until I get that color right!
@ That’s what I figured, I’m getting started this weekend trying to color match. Thanks for replying 👍🏻
Your camera is so far away I can't see what you are doing. I would love to see your brush strokes as that would be very helpful to me.❤
Sorry about that, I’ll try and do better!
