@@jaguh9069 You can only buy sword billet from Mondstat. He had sword, polearm, and catalyst billets. He bought a claymore billet in Liyue. All he needs is the bow billet which is the only one that is usable on bows only. Sorry if this didn't clear it up.
Dendro samachurls are Yelan's biggest enemy, using her in abyss has brought me so much hatred for those rats

You might actually want to level up yelan's auto attack a little bit because it also boosts the special charge shot, which could help.
If you're okay with advice, I would recommend looking at physical Amber mains. They have a pretty strong "machine gun" attack patterns and it helps destroying Geo cube pillars pretty fast. Well, not that you need it now, but it still a very useful skill to have for a bow-only account.

I would Stil Level Amber up for the Abyss cause you have two sides. Her ult is pretty good for breaking cryo shields👀

My main damage strategy when I started playing genshin was switching between fischl and amber after each shot for overloaded
Amber is actually pretty good, once I saw a Amber Main do 40k damage

Amber can be a pretty good support for yoimiya, her burst cost is cheap so it'd be easy to take advantage of nobless or instructer buff. Its also resin cheap cuz u only really need mediocre artifacts for her and invest on a favonius bow :)

I recommend switching Yelan and Sara’s weapon since Fading Twilight substats are meant for Yelan. Plus Sara needs more energy recharge for burst damage
It's a generalist sub dps bow. Really he should be building Recurve on Yelan. It out damages half the 5 star roster.
As a venti main, ive also tried my hands on the geo cube. My start was just hit it from above, ignore the pillars until the end 😂

Fun facts from my own bow only adventure (that I don’t post videos of):
- Since building pity on standard is almost useless (only two 5*s and they’re both weapons which has a lower drop rate), any extra pulls you need to do to hopefully get more bow units should actually be done on the weapon banner ONLY if a bow is rated up. Otherwise, save all intertwined and primos for a character. Even just four star rate ups I go for (which is how I got Gorou).
- Machine gun tech (especially on c1 Amber) is very useful for breaking geo pillars and even geo slime shields! The quick rate of physical damage make a huge difference, especially if u add Baron Bunny!
- Every single bow character is worth building, even if they are weaker, considering the few amount of units to chose from for teams, especially when abyss rolls around
- Gorou and Amber are great for overworld. Puzzles, ofc, but they are mining champions with their E. Gorou can one-shot iron, but the other rocks take more time. Throw down a baron bunny then plunge attack the rest, or use Gorou for that last bit.
- I find it’s best to convert all anemo crystals to other kinds for the time being, considering Venti will not return for a long time… But when he does, Beth drops a considerable amount of crystals, and by that time, world level should be high enough to accommodate the lack of crystals. Save every other kind for other units. If you grinded for the wind catcher like me, you should have a surplus already.
- Life without Diona relies on lots of food. Get the backpack quickly, and maybe put a 4 piece traveling doctor on one of your units with high energy recharge. Many of us won’t have c4 Gorou for those heals, but if you do manage to get him, throw the set on him. Even though he has no geo to buff on your teams, he can function as a healer and shielder until Diona is pulled
- Free Fischl coming in the next update (event reward), so keep on your toes for that event! I currently don’t have her, and desperately need her on my team, so I am quite excited!
- I keep artifact sets I plan to use for future units on characters I don’t use, just to keep things handy and make sure I don’t feed the artifacts to another on accident…
- Save up starglitter for when bow characters roll around in the shop! Amber cons are near impossible to get, especially if you plan to ignore the standard wish, so save for her. C1 will open the door to machine gun physical build, which can be fun and very useful. Otherwise, I believe Fischl also comes around the shop.
- I recommend sending most characters on mining expeditions since it is so difficult to get ore with bows… If you got Yelan, her bonus can be very handy.
- Of course there’s the bow billet in the Liyue store, but sadly there are no other easy ways to get that specific billet that I know of… You have to hope for weekly boss drops (But hey, polearm only are gonna have a ball with dragonspine)… Potentially the Sakura tree will give one? I do not remember…
- Remember to visit the conch man daily in inazuma for the craftable bow that spawns in one of the chests! It’s a major upgrade to the other attack bow you can craft (well, for some characters).
- When you do the hypostasis fight for the book, I don’t recommend collecting it, as no bow character needs those drops and probably none ever will. Don’t waste your resin.
- Trees cannot be farmed for the teapot… I have tried using different skills, but none have worked. If anyone knows a bow character who can cut trees, let me know! Otherwise, craftable items only using ore and silk may be your best bet to get the achievements. (Extra tip, use wolfhook for blue dye as mint is more important for recipes… You only need 3 for Razor’s free wish and then they are useless)
- Bows are actually fantastic in dragonspine! Baron Bunny can one-shot the crystals, then you can shoot the ice away from any distance. I didn’t have Gorou at the time of adventuring that area, so I’m unsure if his skill is quicker than baron bunny…
- Baron Bunny can activate the puzzles in the chasm (pressure plates and the ripple effect off the rocks), though you have no geo constructs since Gorou’s skill does not count. Therefore, some puzzles will be missed. Baron bunny may not always last long enough, so the Oz trick may work better…
I specifically started this challenge on my own due to lack of content on my main, as well as wanting to practice archery on mobile. I am an AR 57 mobile player, and have been since I started! This challenge pushes me a lot to get better in combat. Since it is mainly for that purpose, I do tend to cheat a lot with anemo characters and geo lumine for the constructs, but I still have many ideas and tricks for this particular challenge! Good luck archers! If I were to recommend any weapon, it’s definitely bows! Though, you will feel a burn or no anemo and hydro very quickly if you didn’t manage to pull Yelan or even Venti… Praying for a fourth Childe rerun lol But would his skill be cheating?
Okay Update: There is a bow billet when you reach level 44 of the Sakura Tree... Yikes-
You can also get a weapon billet of your choice from leveling the lumenstone adjuvant!
You can buy 5 starconches from the merchant under the docks in Liyue Harbor in case you're close but ran out again!

Good job with the Geo cube. Back in the day I was doing most of the fight with it with Fischl, just sniping it from above its pillars. It worked better for me than taking down the pillars and trying to make use of the time it spent on the ground. But I was not playing any challenge so it was Noelle who always had the last word. Those were also the times when I was happy that most of the game wasn't timed :D

When the geo cube is doing the geo rock thing (where it shoots the geo stuff) you can use that to destroy the pillars
When the geo cube dude throws little rocks at you hide behind the pillars and it Will starts breaking them

Fun fact about Andruius- I never really learned how to beat him properly, but waay back when Genshin came out, i saw someone solo him with Fischl. So I started soloing him with Fischl and that's still the only way I beat him LOL

Just got gorou on standard after my first ascension quest! That quest was difficult and he was the reason I tried itto banner. And now his rerun is in a few hours and I got him on standard!
Got him a couple minutes before a doctors appointment but I’m excited to check him out in a little bit! I’m also happy that I won’t get tempted on the itto banner again just to fail!!!!

In case anyone was wondering. If you had 0 materials, and decided to get a brand new character to level 80, 666 talents, a good baseline. The time for boss materials, hero's wit, mora, talent books, etc taken to reach that baseline would be 2 weeks.
However, due to things like the battle pass, and events, things like mora, xp, talent books, ect will all be saved so its around a week all in all for the average player assuming they had a slight backlog of materials. You can cut things down even further if you set your baseline at level 70, 666 talents which is technically the floor for a properly built character.

For the geo cub, what i like to do when it likes to shoot mini geo poops on you, i would hide on one of the pillars that's not destroyed. Make the geo cube damage itself cuz why not. 😂

Tip for Starchonche collecting: its slow, but Bolai in Liuye sells five starconches every three days (give or take)
I would recommend leveling Yelan's Normal Attack to at least 6 for Breakthrough Barb (the super-fast charge shot). It's similar to Ganyu's frostflake arrow in that it does AOE damage to a small area... granted, it's not as powerful, but it can do some pretty nice damage to a small group of enemies : )
if the geo hypo is flying and doing its attack with a bunch of little rocks trying to hit u, if u stand behind a stone pillar, it also breaks the pillar a bit. not a lot of damage, but one of my fave hacks to do when i fight it XD

If anyone does low damage as a f2p( me too lol), check the talents reference ( it shows what you should focus on building first) and also check the artifacts reference ( it shows what u should have as the main stat on the artifact.)
