Being a CA student, I think the video is on point. 90% CA live a very average life. I have wasted my 5 years in pursuing this course. Only go for this course if you have favicol which means you should stick yourself to your chair. And good rattafication skills. Please do a full analysis. You may be top in your school doesn't guarantee you can become CA.

Firstly, this video was only on the negative points of CA Profession. 1. 90% of CA don't live an avergae life,thats completely wrong. In every profession there are people for who don't become successful. 2. No job gives you big salary pay initially except for rank holders in CA profession and for peoole who are from IIT AND IIM. 3. any professional degree takes time 3-5 years be it CFA, CS, CMA, DOCTOR , MBA ETC. 4. There more than 1000's of people who started their articleahip and got into Big 4, it all depends on the field you select and skill uou develop. 5. bhai yahan Indian mein normal entry level job 8-10k per month hai jisme to IT sector ki job bhi aa jati hai (excluding coding job), tumhe pata hai 20k mahina kama paan bhi kitna mushkil kam hai. lower level pe jake dekho government job mein starting salary 20-22k hai . yahan 2 lakh mahina starting salary pe bhi log rone lagte hai. koi hamare jaise se puch kar dekhe jo mahine ka bas 9-10k kama raha hai. mera ek cousin kai job badal chuka, accountant ka kaam karta hai, hamara shehar chhota hai aur abhi bhi uski salary 12k ke around hi hai. bhai CA karne se google ke CEO ke barabar salary nahi milegi but at least entry level accountant job se to kahin accha hai jaha growth ka koi khaas chance mahi aur har koi apne chote shehar ko chhod ke bahar ja nahi sakta.
I am a Chartered Accountant, I don't think to generalize a profession with a "Job". Yes when all are following sheep race of getting job, Competition would obviously be more but at the same time when a skilled CA enter into market he could do wonders. Market could be practice or business. The patience and time management u learn in CA, cant be learn in any other course i believe.

As a CA passout in 2023, i can definitely say CA has crafted a new version of me, which is better mentally, but maybe a lil worse physically because ca final exams take a serious toll on your physical health. From sleepless and crying nights to alone afternoons, you gotta face everything during CA. Passing CA inter is a big achievement, but the real journey starts when you do your articleship. While preparing for CA finals, it made me realise that you can't do CA alone, you require your family's support as well. There were many days in the journey when i felt i did a mistake entering in CA. These thoughts will be your biggest enemy. Also I think it's important to share that there were days when i didn't study for 3 days straight becomes you feel so down and negative at many times and even 1 month before the exams. Just take care of your health and what's gone is gone, focus on your present and trust me you'll succeed if you'll understand yourself. Also CA is not the end of your life. Always be humble even if you succeed in 1st attempts and don't feel gutted if you aren't able to clear exams.

Very true, after clearing my CA in 2016…my worth is only ₹45-50 per month, I found at that time MBA wala guy have package of 6 to 7 lakhs pa (fresher)…Big 4 and big companies demand 1st or max 2nd attempted CA, after 2 months I decided to move ahead to do UPSC and I work today as govt officer and balanced work life, As compared to other professional CA ko itna koi value nhi deta…Jo experience honge wo Jante honge

Absolutely on point! One of the biggest reason for the failure in the exams is lack of transparency in valuations! They're hiding the MCQs and the answer keys! This issue is not questioned seriously while the NEET paper leak is widely discussed throughout the nation!! God bless the students!
Being a CA finalist, I agree with what you said. I think it is a well researched video. But, I think you missed out on the CA practice part. It is an esteemed profession, you should have covered the practice part as well.
I completely agree with everything said in this video ! Having spent two years pursuing the CA course, I've realized it's not the golden ticket it's made out to be. I've decided to explore other certifications like CPA, CFA, and ACCA for a more diverse and fulfilling career path. Trust me m I’ve never been this engaged with the people, studies snd work. I’ve started to get opportunities abroad. Many CAs end up in education or motivational speaking rather than practicing in their field. It's a wake-up call for anyone considering this path to weigh their options wisely.
Lol what, my father is a CA from last 15 years, he told me that it has never crossed his mind to do something like this. Also I have met plenty of CA's in my life not one person who is into the things you are referring to. You only see those because you are chronically online and only know about the ones who have done such things. Go outside walk into some CAs office and ask them about this. You'll never meet real people if you judge people based on internet. In my area and also other states there are groups and groups of CAs and they are happily practicing. They organise activities between them and their families, and they are one of the most interesting people I've ever met. They express themselves so freely. No stage fear no fear of being judged and openly enjoying life. Their lives aren't as miserable as you think.

Being CA qualified in 2014, I am 100% agreed with you. Mostly commenting here are CA aspirants influenced by their faculties and don’t have knowledge of Market. They are just seeing 1-2% of CAs. Even ICAI data says, Student’s Average year of getting qualified is 7.8 yrs. Job is underpaid and Practice in this time is very hard to establish. It will take at least 5-6 yrs to get fair earnings. Honestly, I tell you, if I need to enroll now in CA, then I will not do.. Rather to do ACCA, FCA and MBA…

CA is far better than MBA if you don't want want to spend 8-10lakhs for a course, and Also Most of MBA Graduates get Sales job with high package that would definitely left you with a burden of Targets , But CA gives you skills that will definitely gives you edge in Taxation planning and Auditing compared to other courses Remember in the long run nearly 4-6years after completing this course will provide you with ample opportunities and CA will provide you not less than 7.5LPA that also for only 1or1.5 year after that it will certainly increase around 11-15LPA Average and that's a good package after looking at market conditions

I think if a person who understands how money works can multiply his income easily and if a CA is earning 70k-80k i think he will be better than others with that money, CA learns finance just not to work for others. And at the end income matters not the salary. Doing CA is very affordable, and you’ll have a job security, CA’s have respect in the society there are many advantage, talk about the time it takes to be a CA- it depends on how you study actually, at my time i had a misconception that i was working so hard but in reality i never gave my 100% from the very beginning, only if i had i dont think CA would be as hard as i thought. I am currently doing ACCA because i have talked to a CA and he said that I don't recommend doing CA because of its group system that makes a loophole go revolving around it he advised me to pursue acca because it is globally recognised and it doesn't have a group system and as globalisation is going on the demand of acca will drastically increase in the upcoming years in INDIA

I am a Fresher CA & let me tell you that the job market is at its worst. The Campus recruitment rate has come down from 50% to 23% & the package these 23% are getting is way low. I cleared CA all levels in first attempt and did my articleship from Big5 but still the offers I was getting were not worth the hype. Those who think that First Attempt and Big4 will give you a good package, let me tell you the best monthly in hand you will get is 70-90k (This includes Big4 and Top Companies) and this comes after fighting in neck to neck competition with others. Rankers will get a decent pay of 120-130k pm. And believe me these are actual numbers. And also this is when you cleared in first attempt. Let's just not talk about those who are having multiple attempts. Many of you will say that "Okay 70-90k is good enough though". But those who have cleared CA know how we have done this course. And let's just not compare the salary with that of BTech Students. My friends who haven't even done from IIT are getting 130-150k pm in hand as freshers. What is our Top CTC is their Base. So please think twice before doing this. No one is going to tell you the harsh reality of CA. I used Actual Salary numbers just to tell you guys the reality, plz don't take this otherwise.

I am CA Finalist. For me this course is more than education. It is way of life. I agree it is tough to pass CA but it is worth it. Understand one thing. There are many people who without any professional qualifications also getting paid in lakhs due to their skillset. So, just because you pass CA it is not that you will get paid high. Even after completing it we will need to acquire skill set and update us to get good job. Completion of this course is for regret free life. If any one who is pursuing CA course watching this my recommendation is just focus on studies and complete asap. Don't focus on people like him. There are many people to discourage you not to do CA. But you yourself need to realise this is all for you.
Im CA finals.. Almost done I suggest no for new incoming students.. Its not worth the hard work.. Instead prepare for CAT and get a MBA finance in any top 10 universities.. u have much much better life. CA is not for all. Its just a hard lengthy course. Ultimately no value. I am CA. Whatever you told are the facts and harsh reality. I don’t think, It is worthy of starting CA now. New passed CAs are struggling to get 60K, I am not talking about upper 10%. Future of CAs are not good. Audit of GST has removed. Audit in Income Tax, limit is increased. Digitalization will further minimise auditing. Mostly new comer joining nothing about market. I will never recommend my known, to enroll in CA now. I would be better to do FCA or ACCA to get international degree, foreign VISA, more passing percentage and better package.

Most of the people commenting are CA aspirants and have no knowledge of job market and placements, its a fact that avg CA with multiple attempts gets salary of 70-80k per month and those who are saying practice lack common sense ,own practice requires a lot of time to establish and earn well, its not worth the hussle for most of the people
Ok, overall, I want to say that no degree will give you a guarantee that you will get a good job, even if you are passed from IIT B or IIM A. You will get a good job from your skill set. Every course has its pros and cons. Just think, does ICAI don't know many students are leaving CA for foreign courses? They know it, and that's why they always update themselves with time. They reduced the articleship period. We have six papers in final and inter that impact the mindset of the aspirants, and they also restricted the number of attempts in CA, inter, and foundation. In my family, one of my uncle left his navy job and pursued CA and started his firm, and he's earning well even though he is not from commerce. I totally agree that we should not waste our initial years of life just on one course if we are unable to clear it because it's cheap, like an examination form that just costs you 1500 or 2700. So many people gamble on 1500 or 2700, which we can't afford in courses like CFA, FRM, etc. I think only 40-50% serious canditates appear in exams. After all, we all know that it was not easy. We have a vast syllabus, but we granted it very casually, so just don't deframe any course if you can't give a right view about it. Even if you wanted to be a be a cardiologist, you need 13-15 years. If you crack UG, PG, and specialist in your first attempt, a cardiologist should not waste his or her 13-15 years just for it. Every degree has its own worth. Just don't deframe it.
Yes CA does not develop communication skills ….but CFA also teaches core finance and it is also a self study course so I am not developing any soft skills with CFA …by finance knowledge its the best but it will develop my hard skills…

As a CA dropout, I won't discourage students to not pursue CA course, But i do recommend them to be self aware, and to know when to quit. I get it that 'never give up' mindset but. Guys.... Ultimate cost you're paying is 'time' And trust me iam saying this by experience... The no. Of years I have put into this course, if i had invested those in doing a job even of 15k salary, adding work experience over time I can assure you i would have earning more than a CA at present. This is one of the most honest video i have seen about CA Course in a while. The thing you said about foundation is 100% true, i cleared foundation for the first time easily without studying that much, and with that i had thought that my CA dream would be just like closing my eyes. Hehehe... Now i have just given my 4th attempt of CA Inter, and still this time i am pretty much sure i am doomed again. I can say with due respect that my reasons were improper planning, low productivity, mental issues(loneliness), and what not. Now many people will reply that your condition was totally your fault, your behaviour is your reason of your failure. I dont know why, but i feel that more than majority of CA students face this problem. People will say just study 8-10 hours and you're good you can crack CA Inter. BRO YOU NEED TO ACTUALLY STUDY A LOT THINGS AT ONCE not just keeping the books open and study slowly/thinking something else/distracted by something else. If you think you open the book for 10 hours, study only few pages of that book in very detailed way and pass the exam you're doomed to fail. As a first timer student you will priortize the number of hours studied and after few attempts you will forget hours and understand that amount of content studied is more important. I do understand my mistakes very well, but remember, this course is the most hardest in India. The content is so vast its ridiculous. The pay culture is very true. I have seen some CAs struggling to earn, that includes the 2nd/3rd attempt pass-outs as well. The competition is really high. While i have also seen some CAs earning good, minimum ₹20-40 lakhs per annum having like 15-20 years experience. Note that experience does not always mean high salary, sometimes luck also matters. The reason why people do CA, is because they have nothing else to do as a commerce student, or their financial background is weak, hence they consider money as time as cost to do it. CFA and ACCA are good degrees, definitely the worst to do if you want to work in India, but the best to work abroad. MBA is one alternative, requires money but it can help you to do something in life. For CA, if you don't clear Final you are screwed and even more if you wasted a lot time. About the people who commented on this video having similar feelings such as this bro is speaking nonsence, ca is the greatest course in India kuch bhi bol raha hai, ca nahi bana islea video bana dia. This is bachpana or i should say child behaviour. CA is a good profession we can all agree, but that doesn't mean you say some good words about it and you become CA😂.You first become CA then come here. What’s your opinion on doing a dummy articleship while pursuing the CFA? By doing so, I could clear the CFA Level 2 exam before the CA final. If I pass the CA final, that's great, but if not, I'll take the CFA Level 3 exam afterward. This way, I will have completed all levels of the CFA and can then pursue an MBA abroad.

Firstly, this video was only on the negative points of CA Profession.
1. 90% of CA don't live an avergae life,thats completely wrong. In every profession there are people for who don't become successful.
2. No job gives you big salary pay initially except for rank holders in CA profession and for peoole who are from IIT AND IIM.
3. any professional degree takes time 3-5 years be it CFA, CS, CMA, DOCTOR , MBA ETC.
4. There more than 1000's of people who started their articleahip and got into Big 4, it all depends on the field you select and skill uou develop.
5. I agree CA profession ka communication is weak,but itna bhi weak naahi. Yoh said team work naahi aata CA's ko, please go and meet an audit team and tunko samjhe ga teamwork kya hota hai.
6. CA profession is not for sales and stuff, so understand that, our profession is majority related to taxation,audit and accounting.

bhai yahan Indian mein normal entry level job 8-10k per month hai jisme to IT sector ki job bhi aa jati hai (excluding coding job), tumhe pata hai 20k mahina kama paan bhi kitna mushkil kam hai. lower level pe jake dekho government job mein starting salary 20-22k hai . yahan 2 lakh mahina starting salary pe bhi log rone lagte hai. koi hamare jaise se puch kar dekhe jo mahine ka bas 9-10k kama raha hai. mera ek cousin kai job badal chuka, accountant ka kaam karta hai, hamara shehar chhota hai aur abhi bhi uski salary 12k ke around hi hai. bhai CA karne se google ke CEO ke barabar salary nahi milegi but at least entry level accountant job se to kahin accha hai jaha growth ka koi khaas chance mahi aur har koi apne chote shehar ko chhod ke bahar ja nahi sakta.
I am a Chartered Accountant, I don't think to generalize a profession with a "Job". Yes when all are following sheep race of getting job, Competition would obviously be more but at the same time when a skilled CA enter into market he could do wonders. Market could be practice or business. The patience and time management u learn in CA, cant be learn in any other course i believe.

As a CA passout in 2023, i can definitely say CA has crafted a new version of me, which is better mentally, but maybe a lil worse physically because ca final exams take a serious toll on your physical health.
From sleepless and crying nights to alone afternoons, you gotta face everything during CA. Passing CA inter is a big achievement, but the real journey starts when you do your articleship.
While preparing for CA finals, it made me realise that you can't do CA alone, you require your family's support as well.
There were many days in the journey when i felt i did a mistake entering in CA. These thoughts will be your biggest enemy.
Also I think it's important to share that there were days when i didn't study for 3 days straight becomes you feel so down and negative at many times and even 1 month before the exams.

Lol what, my father is a CA from last 15 years, he told me that it has never crossed his mind to do something like this. Also I have met plenty of CA's in my life not one person who is into the things you are referring to. You only see those because you are chronically online and only know about the ones who have done such things. Go outside walk into some CAs office and ask them about this. You'll never meet real people if you judge people based on internet. In my area and also other states there are groups and groups of CAs and they are happily practicing. They organise activities between them and their families, and they are one of the most interesting people I've ever met. They express themselves so freely. No stage fear no fear of being judged and openly enjoying life. Their lives aren't as miserable as you think.

Being CA qualified in 2014, I am 100% agreed with you. Mostly commenting here are CA aspirants influenced by their faculties and don’t have knowledge of Market. They are just seeing 1-2% of CAs.
Even ICAI data says, Student’s Average year of getting qualified is 7.8 yrs.
Job is underpaid and Practice in this time is very hard to establish. It will take at least 5-6 yrs to get fair earnings.

CA is far better than MBA if you don't want want to spend 8-10lakhs for a course, and Also Most of MBA Graduates get Sales job with high package that would definitely left you with a burden of Targets , But CA gives you skills that will definitely gives you edge in Taxation planning and Auditing compared to other courses
Remember in the long run nearly 4-6years after completing this course will provide you with ample opportunities and CA will provide you not less than 7.5LPA that also for only 1or1.5 year after that it will certainly increase around 11-15LPA Average and that's a good package after looking at market conditions

I think if a person who understands how money works can multiply his income easily and if a CA is earning 70k-80k i think he will be better than others with that money, CA learns finance just not to work for others. And at the end income matters not the salary. Doing CA is very affordable, and you’ll have a job security, CA’s have respect in the society there are many advantage, talk about the time it takes to be a CA- it depends on how you study actually, at my time i had a misconception that i was working so hard but in reality i never gave my 100% from the very beginning, only if i had i dont think CA would be as hard as i thought. I guarantee most of the people think they are giving thier 100% and at the same time they spend hours spacing around in a day. There are thousands of video about CA on youtube some about its pros and other about its cons if you spend a day watching some of them i m sure you will be left with mixed feeling about CA….. try for yourself, if you get influenced ny this videos then search CA pros on youtube and if you think this video is wrong then search more videos about CA cons. I am currently doing ACCA because i have talked to a CA and he said that I don't recommend doing CA because of its group system that makes a loophole go revolving around it he advised me to pursue acca because it is globally recognised and it doesn't have a group system and as globalisation is going on the demand of acca will drastically increase in the upcoming years in INDIA

I am a Fresher CA & let me tell you that the job market is at its worst. The Campus recruitment rate has come down from 50% to 23% & the package these 23% are getting is way low.
I cleared CA all levels in first attempt and did my articleship from Big5 but still the offers I was getting were not worth the hype.
Those who think that First Attempt and Big4 will give you a good package, let me tell you the best monthly in hand you will get is 70-90k (This includes Big4 and Top Companies) and this comes after fighting in neck to neck competition with others. Rankers will get a decent pay of 120-130k pm. And believe me these are actual numbers. And also this is when you cleared in first attempt. Let's just not talk about those who are having multiple attempts.
Many of you will say that "Okay 70-90k is good enough though". But those who have cleared CA know how we have done this course. And let's just not compare the salary with that of BTech Students. My friends who haven't even done from IIT are getting 130-150k pm in hand as freshers. What is our Top CTC is their Base.
So please think twice before doing this. No one is going to tell you the harsh reality of CA.

There are many people who without any professional qualifications also getting paid in lakhs due to their skillset. So, just because you pass CA it is not that you will get paid high. Most of the people commenting are CA aspirants and have no knowledge of job market and placements, its a fact that avg CA with multiple attempts gets salary of 70-80k per month and those who are saying practice lack common sense ,own practice requires a lot of time to establish and earn well, its not worth the hussle for most of the people
Ok, overall, I want to say that no degree will give you a guarantee that you will get a good job, even if you are passed from IIT B or IIM A. You will get a good job from your skill set. Every course has its pros and cons. Just think, does ICAI don't know many students are leaving CA for foreign courses? They know it, and that's why they always update themselves with time. They reduced the articleship period. We have six papers in final and inter that impact the mindset of the aspirants, and they also restricted the number of attempts in CA, inter, and foundation. In my family, one of my uncle left his navy job and pursued CA and started his firm, and he's earning well even though he is not from commerce. I totally agree that we should not waste our initial years of life just on one course if we are unable to clear it because it's cheap, like an examination form that just costs you 1500 or 2700. So many people gamble on 1500 or 2700, which we can't afford in courses like CFA, FRM, etc. I think only 40-50% serious canditates appear in exams. After all, we all know that it was not easy. We have a vast syllabus, but we granted it very casually, so just don't deframe any course if you can't give a right view about it. Even if you wanted to be a be a cardiologist, you need 13-15 years. If you crack UG, PG, and specialist in your first attempt, a cardiologist should not waste his or her 13-15 years just for it. Every degree has its own worth. Just don't deframe it.
Yes CA does not develop communication skills ….but CFA also teaches core finance and it is also a self study course so I am not developing any soft skills with CFA …by finance knowledge its the best but it will develop my hard skills…
Fully agree, CFA too has nothing for the soft skills. Those need to be developed via a traditional college education or by yourself.

This is one of the most honest video i have seen about CA Course in a while.
The thing you said about foundation is 100% true, i cleared foundation for the first time easily without studying that much, and with that i had thought that my CA dream would be just like closing my eyes. Hehehe...
Now i have just given my 4th attempt of CA Inter, and still this time i am pretty much sure i am doomed again.
I can say with due respect that my reasons were improper planning, low productivity, mental issues(loneliness), and what not.
Now many people will reply that your condition was totally your fault, your behaviour is your reason of your failure. I dont know why, but i feel that more than majority of CA students face this problem.
People will say just study 8-10 hours and you're good you can crack CA Inter. BRO YOU NEED TO ACTUALLY STUDY A LOT THINGS AT ONCE not just keeping the books open and study slowly/thinking something else/distracted by something else. If you think you open the book for 10 hours, study only few pages of that book in very detailed way and pass the exam you're doomed to fail. As a first timer student you will priortize the number of hours studied and after few attempts you will forget hours and understand that amount of content studied is more important. I do understand my mistakes very well, but remember, this course is the most hardest in India. The content is so vast its ridiculous.
The pay culture is very true. I have seen some CAs struggling to earn, that includes the 2nd/3rd attempt pass-outs as well. The competition is really high. While i have also seen some CAs earning good, minimum ₹20-40 lakhs per annum having like 15-20 years experience. Note that experience does not always mean high salary, sometimes luck also matters.
The reason why people do CA, is because they have nothing else to do as a commerce student, or their financial background is weak, hence they consider money as time as cost to do it. CFA and ACCA are good degrees, definitely the worst to do if you want to work in India, but the best to work abroad. MBA is one alternative, requires money but it can help you to do something in life. For CA, if you don't clear Final you are screwed and even more if you wasted a lot time.

What’s your opinion on doing a dummy articleship while pursuing the CFA? By doing so, I could clear the CFA Level 2 exam before the CA final. If I pass the CA final, that's great, but if not, I'll take the CFA Level 3 exam afterward. This way, I will have completed all levels of the CFA and can then pursue an MBA abroad.

@@dineshpatel6650 Cfa with mba is good option because you can earn more than ca. just have to do mba from top 50 college and cfa it would be great combo as you are in 2nd year you can give cfa level by feb 25 and cfa level 2 in nov 25 and ig your graduation will complete in may 26 so you can give cat 26 or can first finish cfa and then go to good mba college
