In this video, I have discussed in detail about CA as a course and what you should consider before opting for it. Many candidates prefer CA for a bright career and invest years in its rigorous preparation. Please note that I'm NOT bashing CA. It's an excellent course that you should absolutely do if it fits your case. There are specific situations and core interest where doing CA is optimal, and many where it isn't. In the video, we will break down both of them.
I have highlighted certain important points to consider which includes the pros and cons of CA, its time investment and salary expectations. Watch this video till the end to know both sides of CA and make a well informed decision.

Being a CA student, I think the video is on point.
90% CA live a very average life.
I have wasted my 5 years in pursuing this course.
Only go for this course if you have favicol which means you should stick yourself to your chair.
And good rattafication skills.
Please do a full analysis.
You may be top in your school doesn't guarantee you can become CA.

Now will you blame the country for its economy. Disparity level naam ki bhi chiz hoti hai. Aur Aditya bhai nahi batengey ki india isme kitna peechey hai compared to nordic countries. Firstly, this video was only on the negative points of CA Profession.
1. 90% of CA don't live an avergae life,thats completely wrong. In every profession there are people for who don't become successful.
2. No job gives you big salary pay initially except for rank holders in CA profession and for peoole who are from IIT AND IIM.
3. any professional degree takes time 3-5 years be it CFA, CS, CMA, DOCTOR , MBA ETC.
4. There more than 1000's of people who started their articleahip and got into Big 4, it all depends on the field you select and skill uou develop.
5. I agree CA profession ka communication is weak,but itna bhi weak naahi. Yoh said team work naahi aata CA's ko, please go and meet an audit team and tunko samjhe ga teamwork kya hota hai.
6. CA profession is not for sales and stuff, so understand that, our profession is majority related to taxation,audit and accounting.
7. Yes it is one of te toughest job, in same manner stands UPSC exams where at different levels, even after getting government job,salary is low. Eg Indian economic service prpfesion people get initailly 60k to 70k initially.
8. In CA after getting ur degree there a numbet of modern fields to go for, but for that, I guess I will have to make a video so u understand it.
9. Yes Ca foundation sey, Ca- inter is tough and final is way way tough, same goes for UPSC as well and for CFA also.
10. Period of of 5 years you said is wasted, go and talk to any person who has completed 3 years of articleship. After this traning even if you drop CA you know which field you shoulf go for.
11. Go to BIG 4 and count how many CA's are working there.
12. You spoke about investment banking, this field requires core knowledge and no one wants to pay en employee teaching this job. So they hire CA WHO HAVE had requisite experience that makes their work easy.
13. Salary pay, you said 2 lakhs per month, show me which job gives that much package in beginning without any experience???
Only IIM AND IIT students get THAT, Which has now significantly reduced and the people who get these types of packages are only 10 in 1000's
14. Kounsi job milege aur kitna package, yeh kounsi field mai fixed hai????? It all depends on the candidate and his requirements.
15. Core finance, consulting type of job is not everyone's cup of tea bhai. And thus that is a niche market that requires the relevant skills and knowledge . NOT EVERY DOCTOR IS FAMOUS RIGHT, ONLY A FEW ARE FAMOUS FOR WORK. Same goes for all profession, be it content creation, taxation, acting or anything.
16. Can a person who has become a dentist do a knee surgery??? NO RIGHT you need the relevant skills and knowledge. Same goes for finance world?

Being an CA finalist I also sometimes get demotivated ki agar rank nhi aayi toh u can't get that package of IIM level

Getting an 20 lpa package as a fresher is something very rare
If it happens it's good
Otherwise there is nothing wrong if u start ur career at 10lpa +
Many big 4 partners with 15 yrs of work x earning 2crs+ per annum
How many degrees in india can get that level of package
Only IIT /IIM that's all
The only point is in job market
CAs are behind only guys from IIM/IIT
but u need to remind what are the odds in ur favour of getting in to top 10 IIT/IIM

bhai yahan Indian mein normal entry level job 8-10k per month hai jisme to IT sector ki job bhi aa jati hai (excluding coding job), tumhe pata hai 20k mahina kama paan bhi kitna mushkil kam hai. lower level pe jake dekho government job mein starting salary 20-22k hai . yahan 2 lakh mahina starting salary pe bhi log rone lagte hai. koi hamare jaise se puch kar dekhe jo mahine ka bas 9-10k kama raha hai. mera ek cousin kai job badal chuka, accountant ka kaam karta hai, hamara shehar chhota hai aur abhi bhi uski salary 12k ke around hi hai. bhai CA karne se google ke CEO ke barabar salary nahi milegi but at least entry level accountant job se to kahin accha hai jaha growth ka koi khaas chance mahi aur har koi apne chote shehar ko chhod ke bahar ja nahi sakta.

I am a Chartered Accountant, I don't think to generalize a profession with a "Job". Yes when all are following sheep race of getting job, Competition would obviously be more but at the same time when a skilled CA enter into market he could do wonders. Market could be practice or business. The patience and time management u learn in CA, cant be learn in any other course i believe.

As a CA passout in 2023, i can definitely say CA has crafted a new version of me, which is better mentally, but maybe a lil worse physically because ca final exams take a serious toll on your physical health.
From sleepless and crying nights to alone afternoons, you gotta face everything during CA. Passing CA inter is a big achievement, but the real journey starts when you do your articleship.
While preparing for CA finals, it made me realise that you can't do CA alone, you require your family's support as well.
There were many days in the journey when i felt i did a mistake entering in CA. These thoughts will be your biggest enemy.
Also I think it's important to share that there were days when i didn't study for 3 days straight becomes you feel so down and negative at many times and even 1 month before the exams.
Just take care of your health and what's gone is gone, focus on your present and trust me you'll succeed if you'll understand yourself.
Also CA is not the end of your life. Always be humble even if you succeed in 1st attempts and don't feel gutted if you aren't able to clear exams.

I am a Fresher CA & let me tell you that the job market is at its worst. The Campus recruitment rate has come down from 50% to 23% & the package these 23% are getting is way low.
I cleared CA all levels in first attempt and did my articleship from Big5 but still the offers I was getting were not worth the hype.
Those who think that First Attempt and Big4 will give you a good package, let me tell you the best monthly in hand you will get is 70-90k (This includes Big4 and Top Companies) and this comes after fighting in neck to neck competition with others. Rankers will get a decent pay of 120-130k pm. And believe me these are actual numbers. And also this is when you cleared in first attempt. Let's just not talk about those who are having multiple attempts.
Many of you will say that "Okay 70-90k is good enough though". But those who have cleared CA know how we have done this course. And let's just not compare the salary with that of BTech Students. My friends who haven't even done from IIT are getting 130-150k pm in hand as freshers. What is our Top CTC is their Base.
So please think twice before doing this. No one is going to tell you the harsh reality of CA.

Comparing professional courses based on salary is not a valid approach. In today's competitive job market, earning a high salary right away is not easy for everyone. Your points are only shedding light on the challenges and struggles faced by fresh chartered accountants in the beginning, without considering the long-term perspective.Typically, a CA course covers broader subjects, not just focusing on accounting, which makes a person more employable in the market.
But I do agree with your point about social skills. The problem is present in every professional course because they are focused on distance learning in order to reach the masses.

Being CA qualified in 2014, I am 100% agreed with you. Mostly commenting here are CA aspirants influenced by their faculties and don’t have knowledge of Market. They are just seeing 1-2% of CAs.
Even ICAI data says, Student’s Average year of getting qualified is 7.8 yrs.
Job is underpaid and Practice in this time is very hard to establish. It will take at least 5-6 yrs to get fair earnings.
Honestly, I tell you, if I need to enroll now in CA, then I will not do..

Ok, overall, I want to say that no degree will give you a guarantee that you will get a good job, even if you are passed from IIT B or IIM A. You will get a good job from your skill set. Every course has its pros and cons. Just think, does ICAI don't know many students are leaving CA for foreign courses? They know it, and that's why they always update themselves with time. They reduced the articleship period. We have six papers in final and inter that impact the mindset of the aspirants, and they also restricted the number of attempts in CA, inter, and foundation. In my family, one of my uncle left his navy job and pursued CA and started his firm, and he's earning well even though he is not from commerce. I totally agree that we should not waste our initial years of life just on one course if we are unable to clear it because it's cheap, like an examination form that just costs you 1500 or 2700. So many people gamble on 1500 or 2700, which we can't afford in courses like CFA, FRM, etc. I think only 40-50% serious canditates appear in exams. After all, we all know that it was not easy. We have a vast syllabus, but we granted it very casually, so just don't deframe any course if you can't give a right view about it. Even if you wanted to be a be a cardiologist, you need 13-15 years. If you crack UG, PG, and specialist in your first attempt, a cardiologist should not waste his or her 13-15 years just for it. Every degree has its own worth. Just don't deframe it.

What’s your opinion on doing a dummy articleship while pursuing the CFA? By doing so, I could clear the CFA Level 2 exam before the CA final. @@dineshpatel6650 Cfa with mba is good option because you can earn more than ca. just have to do mba from top 50 college and cfa it would be great combo as you are in 2nd year you can give cfa level by feb 25 and cfa level 2 in nov 25 and ig your graduation will complete in may 26 so you can give cat 26 or can first finish cfa and then go to good mba college

Having spent two years pursuing the CA course, I've realized it's not the golden ticket it's made out to be. I've decided to explore other certifications like CPA, CFA, and ACCA for a more diverse and fulfilling career path. Trust me m I’ve never been this engaged with the people, studies snd work. I’ve started to get opportunities abroad.
Many CAs end up in education or motivational speaking rather than practicing in their field. It's a wake-up call for anyone considering this path to weigh their options wisely.
Lol what, my father is a CA from last 15 years, he told me that it has never crossed his mind to do something like this. Also I have met plenty of CA's in my life not one person who is into the things you are referring to. You only see those because you are chronically online and only know about the ones who have done such things. Go outside walk into some CAs office and ask them about this. You'll never meet real people if you judge people based on internet. In my area and also other states there are groups and groups of CAs and they are happily practicing. They organise activities between them and their families, and they are one of the most interesting people I've ever met. They express themselves so freely. No stage fear no fear of being judged and openly enjoying life. Their lives aren't as miserable as you think.

I am currently doing ACCA because i have talked to a CA and he said that I don't recommend doing CA because of its group system that makes a loophole go revolving around it he advised me to pursue acca because it is globally recognised and it doesn't have a group system and as globalisation is going on the demand of acca will drastically increase in the upcoming years in INDIA

The perception about the person who cleared CA becomes the next level in the eyes of another person.. And talking about salary gradually increases and CA has various sources to earn not just from a job..
It's because ICAI,ICSI,ICAW are statutory body having government support...so CA,CS,CMA are considered the same as any other government jobs which gives so much respect to this course...where as other international courses are independent organisations about which most of the people are not aware of so they do get the respect they deserve
And trust me that respect has slowly come down... the way people used to respect CA before 2010 is no longer seen

Although I would like to reaffirm that UPSC is definitely a waste of time, way more than any other professional pathway.
One of the most disrespectful things you could do to your own potential is express a willingness to work for the government. It’s pointless, it has zero impact, like the ones who came before you, you too will not change the system, and the job security keeps the model inefficient. I could go on. Every year LAKHS of students do NOTHING with their time preparing for that pointless exam which has a 0.03% success rate. Brilliant minds do 6 attempts with no luck let alone people who are average.
And you could call it “demotivating” and cry about it, but it’s the truth. You’re salty because you hate hearing it that’s all.
The UPSC is one of the largest time wasters for the country’s youth and must be restricted to two attempts as soon as possible to end this extremely large cancer of time wasting.

I am CA Finalist. For me this course is more than education. It is way of life. I agree it is tough to pass CA but it is worth it. Understand one thing. There are many people who without any professional qualifications also getting paid in lakhs due to their skillset. So, just because you pass CA it is not that you will get paid high. Even after completing it we will need to acquire skill set and update us to get good job. Completion of this course is for regret free life. If any one who is pursuing CA course watching this my recommendation is just focus on studies and complete asap. Don't focus on people like him. There are many people to discourage you not to do CA. My apologies for not including that point. The only hitch is that 90% people currently registered for CA are ineligible for the new 2024 scheme. So it purely applies to someone registering for foundation this year.

@@lordmoneyengar nahi bhai it doesn't work that way. Inter Walo aur previously registered log jo pass nahi hue hai sabka registration automatically change ho jaata hai according to the new scheme. Abse sab bacho ko 2 years ki articleship hogi except for those jinki old scheme k waqt shuru ho chuki thi. Which is a very low percentage.

Bhai aap ne bola CA ko communication skill nahi aati, So just i have to tell one thing, main abhi CA student hu aur mera family business bhi hain aur haa [ Main aap se chota bhi hu] Par aap se acha communication skill hain mera 😂 bachpan se communication skill shikte aa raha hu. Soo Agar aap nahi kar paye toh eska matlab yeh nahi ke koi aur bhi nahi kar payega. Toh aap se humble request hain ke aisa misleading content maat bano.
