What movie is he talking about? My dad was a Jesus Freak Hippie in Southern Cali & so he would be familiar with a lot of what this movie is portraying.
I grew up going to this man’s church. My parents stopped going for whatever reason, so I didn’t go back. As an adult, I’ve been inconsistently trying to find a church to go to. I went back to Harvest again recently with my fiancé (who gave his life to Christ the first day we went) and for the first time in my life, I look forward to going to church and hearing the message every week. I truly believe there’s a good balance between love and conviction in his teachings. Some churches lean too far to one or the other. God bless Greg and Ruslan 😁

I’m so excited for this movie! I happened to come across a trailer for it on IG but I was a bit skeptical since I wasn’t familiar with Pastor Greg. It’s good to see he’s working on the film and that God’s doing great things on set. I’m a big fan of Kelsey Grammar and love seeing a boom in Christian media.

I love Chuck Smith and Greg Laurie! I got to see them and hear them preach when I lived in Hawaii back in 1984 at a conference. I attended North Shore Christian fellowship WHICH was a part of Calvary church. Loved listening to them preach. Played a big part in my walk with God.

I have great news I go to a film school and my classmates aren't Christian (I am praying for them), we had a directing lesson and the teacher was too politically correct and she asked for our pronouns and many of us chose not to, she call some of the males sexist for being males having a "gender bias" for supposedly talking over the girls when they spoke in class (in which they didn't)and the females didn't get offended, when we asked whether they were offended, so there is still hope. God Bless!!

The Lord called us out on a prayer mission, my wife and I last year. One day in Daphne Alabama, it also happens to be my daughters name, The Holy Ghost lead me to this parking lot. There were all these unmarked trailers and weird stuff, like secret… I get sent all over crazy places, you would not believe if I told you, so I was like “Oh man, what are we in for now”. Emboldened, I walked up and they were filming this movie. The Lord had me pray an impartation over this movie, and bless it. I knew it was going to honor God and his hand was all over it! Glory to God!
'We were young and sure to have our way' now I'm almost 70 & feel 🎭 something calling me to return to the lord. I'm feeling a fight within me because I been on a seesaw most days because I wanted to live my life without the Lord's direction

My father was best friends with Mike MacIntosh when he was living in Portland, and was my father's best man at his wedding back in the 60's. I believe my father was only 17 or 18 at the time. I know Mike and Greg are good friends. What an amazing time.

I saw the clip with Kelly and Ryan and to me that seemed like a man who was being pierced by an encounter with God. Just very curious about what is true. He's always been so kind and vulnerable and open about even his deepest struggles. So so thrilled to see him at peace and would love to hear his story.

Marijuana is a blessing to millions of people. I use it every day and love it. Many world class athletes also use marijuana. Greg Laurie is a great guy and an authentic Christian. Lonnie Frisbee was a gay man and lead this movement in the early days of the Jesus Movement. Yes, a Gay man led a great Christian movement and revival. Why do you suppose God would use a Gay man to lead such a movement, while Christians often are Anti Gay? Did God bless Lonnie Frisbee or did he curse him due to his sexuality?

The pastor who turns Anaheim Stadium into a _bona fide_ church every year to preach the Gospel to thousands each time, Greg Laurie. Same evangelist who also operates two church campuses in Riverside and Irvine, the latter of which is where I personally attend.
I am cautiously hopeful for this movie. However, Lonnie Frisbee, was at times very morally flawed, I think many christians would not be thrilled to know about his moral failures While evangelising portrayed in a movie. I personally would not have difficulty seeing a quality film written about a morally flawed individual that also is able to find redemption through Jesus. I have to say if these are the same individuals that made the Jesus Music documentary it doesn't give me much hope.
Morally flawed like King David and St Augustine and do many more that’s the human condition most Christian’s find that relatable and not a turn off of course there are still prudes but probably less than you think
@@lilwaynesworld0 yes and no. Lonnie became very involved in the homosexual lifestyle. Actually his life was quite sad. He was kicked out from Chuck Smith's church. I am not just trying to throw shade or judge someone who had struggles and passed on. I am just say that it's one thing to portray a movie as accurate, but another thing to present actual truth.
@@scottmcgregor4829 Well neither you or I have seen the movie so we can judge it when we see it. I do agree that the truth about his life should be told the ups and the downs. Not every Christian walk is a peace of cake. It was brave to include him in the movie as it bring questions. Calvary Chapel unfortunately has done a good job of erasing Lonnie from it’s history and focusing solely on Chuck Smith. It was a huge step in the right direction to have Greg Laurie rightfully include him in the story and reintroduce his place in the Jesus movement history.
@@lilwaynesworld0 I do want to see the movie just because of the subject matter. As I said before. I am somewhat cautiously optimistic inspite of the director's last film. I agree. That credit needs to be given for taking on some of the difficult subjects. Erasing Lonnie from the history of Calvary Chapel is pretty bogus and sad.
