what fixed it for me in the end (explained in another video with the same tips but a small addon):
- In Steam library go to the game affected
- right click "properties"
- in the menu go on "local files" and chose "verify integrity of game files"
After the scan it worked. However I also performed the procedures with EAC as explained here prior to the additional tweak mentioned above.
So if you play Enlisted on Steam; that might fix it for you.
