FYI international viewers, the show is based on a true crime story from a pretty infamous murder case in Indonesia back in 2016.

I researched this and this show is based on a murder case between best friends. In real life, the best friend was convicted based on lack of evidence and the alleged motive was because the victim kept telling the suspect to break up with her Australian boyfriend. There was no real evidence that they were lesbians or lovers in real life. The judges along with the majority of the Indonesian population made it look like they were lesbians or lovers just to demonize the LGBT community. If LGBT representation is what the filmmakers were aiming for, they should've just found a real lesbian couple who got persecuted in Indonesia for being in a relationship because that'd be better for educational purposes and to spread awareness. I don't hate the show but I don't love it either. Don't get mad at me because this is just my opinion.
