- Join me and Colin (@TheBeardedExplorer) on a trip to France to our favourite scrapyard to track down some Citroen BX parts, and my struggles to find a Renault Laguna front splitter.

The Multipla has the ideal architecture for electric, lots of underfloor space for batteries. There were versions with diesel, petrol, petrol and gas (either LPG or natural gas) or only gas. And the interior is so practical. Handling is really good, too.
The ants nest moment ....😂😂 Also I noticed you started driving with just a cuddly sheep behind your headrest ... then a Highland coe appeared !! Lovely video ❤
That body shell looks like a Natra Baghera.
What an amazing place.
I really struggle in the UK finding parts for my 1997 MK1 pre facelift Mégane Coupe and often wonder if there are scrapyards like this one full of older Renault's.
My Aunti had a Seat Marbella around 1999/2000. Don't think I've ever driven anything else with such light steering.
There will be a few old school ones like this, but you will have to travel sadly. My friend had to go to Scotland for a few bits for his ford probe, which is a few hours drive from Sunderland.
Hi James & Colin. Hope your doing good.
That's one big scrap yard.
I couldn't believe there was a Volvo wagon that new in the yard.
I loved the video. Stay safe and take care.
Thank you !! Was a great trip
Silver car at 13:00 with the engine in the boot is a Matra Bagheera.
Ah! Thank you. I saw another one (a decent example) the back of a recovery truck after we left here and realised it was something not usually seen in the UK
Yes, correct. I owned 1 and it was the worsed car i ever bought if we talk about rust:( It was funny to drive:)
That must have been the only Rover in that scrapyard!
Hello I am French and I need parts for my BX could you tell me where this junkyard is located ? We no longer find bx in scrapyards these days. Thank you again have a good day.
What do you need?
@@Road2Rust I need interior parts. Such as : Buttons, heating elements (radiator, heating valve, panels), mirror control, headrest and other bits and pieces.
@@Road2Rust I have a BX 15 RE from 1988 (belonging to my grandfather and having only 56,000km) unfortunately the plastics (gray) of this version are very fragile and mine are crumbling. I have not had heating for 2 months because my valve and control assembly (dashboard) is completly broken.
The 1988 grey interior is lighter than the others. Harder to find and They don’t have it there. But funnily enough I just found one being broken here because my brother also has that interior. Send me a message on insta!
@@Road2Rust Message sent ! (at 3:25 this one has the same color plastic as mine and at 4:41 I have the same door panel as in this one).
That shell looked like it was a Rover SD1
Nice video, by any chance some Renault 19 16v's (16s in France) there ? looking for some rare parts for mine.
A Matra Bagheera, its a three abreast seated sports car from the makers of many prior sports coupes and also the Renault Espace.
Excellent video, thank you. Did you happen across any R18s? I still have my heart set on a turbo
Yes! There was at least one
Great video! I was surprised to hear someone talking passionately about Seat Marbellas. Most of them ended up in the area where I live, the north of Holland. They were sold mostly new in the south of Holland but around 2007 there was a local chap who bought these old Marbellas for next to nothing in the south of Holland and sold them for reasonable money around here to motorists on a budget. A friend of mine drove one as well and his car had the same history. There was even a Dutch stand up comedian who did a bit about them old Marbellas. He had lost his rearview mirror and so he went to the garage and said he needed a rearview mirror for his Seat Marbella. The garage-owner replied: 'That's a great swap'. Keep up the good work!
Hahaha fun little story - thank you! Good to have you on board mate!
Great video chaps 🤙
Thank you mate!
Can you show us the Renault 11 old 1
