- The man's grandmother passed away, leaving behind a cat that had been with her for 10 years. The man took the cat home, but it couldn't adapt to the new environment and owner. Every day, it hissed and yelled at the man.
He is missing his mom and is very afraid. Give him time to adjust and give him lots of love.

Мне старушка, больная ковидом, отдала своего кота, не могла за ним ухаживать. Он сидел за батареей целую неделю. Бедняга всего боялся, я его не трогала, поставила воду, еду, лоток. Постепенно стал выходить, чуть что, сразу за батарею. Долго еше боялся, а ведь он был молодым. А это взрослая кошка, ей ещё труднее. Тут главное любовь и соблюдать личное пространство.

У меня кошечка из хорошего приюта тоже неделю в обувнице просидела. Постепенно стала нормальной. Набрала вес, распушистилась и начала громко мурлыкать 😊
А мы во время отпуска когда старую кошку отдавали, так она с нами потом долго не разговаривала, шипела-обижалась!
А я забрала котика у волонтеров,который был на плохой передержке,хозяйка употребляла спиртное и коты голодали,кот был так счастлив,что попал из холодной квартиры,где отключили отопление из-за неуплаты,в теплй дом,где еда в мисочках на любой вкус: сухой и влажный корм,кусочки мяса и печени,а также травка свежая,что ластился об мои ноги без конца,а ночью спал рядом на подушке.
Кошки очень ценят свою личную территорию
Привыкают не ко всем, как правило любимых у него 1-2 человека, они считают что хозяева служат для них, а он царь зверей

I agree. I also don't like seeing him get poked with the cat litter scooper, he might view that as hostile. I'm thinking just back off and let him have his space, he'll be a lot better after realizing that this is a safe place, not a hostile one. Don't come on too strong, let him come around on his terms. I don't think he's a bad cat, just scared and having a bad time coping with loss of grandma. He doesn't know what happened, she's just gone one day.
Edit: at the end of video, cat isn't all the way back but doing MUCH better, good on the guy for working with the cat and being patient.
It is the Asian culture. Sadly their cats and small dogs live alot of their lives caged. There are however many areas where people have stopped this and set up really nice pet pads for their furry loved ones. There is one exception might be here is they are afraid for a child in home or that cat is determined to escape. I thank you sir for taking the cat under your care.

My foster son moved out and visited us. His favorite cat did her normal routine: ran and hid. That was quite disappointing for our foster son.
Plus grandma could have been a Difficult Person. We don't really know.
We do see a grandchild trying to save the cat from ending its life in a shelter or on the street. And persevering till success was made.

I would not have taken in a pet regardless bcz it is too much hassle and if I can not properly take care of it, like it is too much cost and I do not want to have the stench and hairs all over either soo, that means it is no point to have any. Нет у него никакого терпения! Он постоянно нарушает личное пространство кошки. Было бы терпение,то дал бы время ей привыкнут.
У кота стресс от потери человека с которым он жил.Не держите его в клетке, так кот быстрее привыкнет к новому дому.
У нас был рыжий кот , он дружил с отцом и ходил за ним хвостиком . Вместе на рыбалку , всегда отца провожал и встречал. Когда отца не стало , он умер в больнице . Привезли домой гроб с телом, поставили. Кот вбежал в комнату , запрыгнул в гроб , обнюхал отца и выскочил из дома . После похорон , кот забрался на иву перед кладбищем , ночь орал на дереве , и пропал ..... больше кота Рыжика никто не видел .
Мне кажется в клетке удобнее,его хоть видно и поесть как-то пхнуть можно,а то зашьется где-то и сидит

Хм принести животное из его ареала обитания в новую чужую местность и оставить самого по себе..... Вот варианты "она освоится":
1. животное попытается вернуться в свою зону обитания.
2. А мб воспримет другое живое существо в новой зоне обитания как врага.
3. Или как что-то живое но бесполезное для неё типа лягушки и будет делать что захочет и не воспринимать нового хозяина никак.
4. А мб впадет во фрустрацию и умрет как хатико. Вариантов тьма.
Это животное. У животного есть рефлексы и инстинкты, а не эта ваша магия "кошка знает". Ничего она не знает. Животному надо явно показывать что вот есть новый хозяин, вот с ним она будет жить. Это новый "кот" и он есть и для нее не опасен он её кормит поит.
