Almost conveys a mix of emotions: like betrayal, anxiety, and some you can’t even explain, like the feeling you get when your given absolutely terrible news. Amazing.

6 years ago my childhood best friend Drew died at the wheel in a car accident. He had a very rough childhood/ was abused. I think the stuff that happened to him as a kid directly correlated to his mental instability/ substance abuse problems/ and subsequent reckless driving as an adult. Right after he passed I kept asking for signs from him in my depressive and delirious mourning state. Then one night a few days after he passed, I fell asleep with random sad/ grunge era songs playing on TH-cam because that’s the music we both grew up listening to… until I was abruptly woken up to the loud crescendo of THIS Radiohead song that I had never heard before. The weirdest part, Radiohead was Drew’s favorite band. For that reason, this song will always have a mysterious and otherworldly quality to me. RIP Drew. I hope your stepdad ch0kes for what he did to you ❤️

The buildup and climax of this track is one of the most powerful things I've ever experienced. Never ceases to create such a visceral reaction when I hear it, I can't not visibly emote to it.
@MrKlassic It didn't really give that effect on me since my favourite girl is Monika, and my least favourite is Natsuki. But it still was a really good mod. If you want another mod thats good i recommend The Festival.

Everytime I hear this song I just feel intense pain. I feel the same way. After this episode I had such conflicting emotions and felt myself longing for more. And the use of Radiohead really brought it all together, especially how the climax of the song was paired at just the right moment of the show. It really got to me.

Knowing his life is horrifically and emphatically over, he feels so disconnected from everything he hardly even reacts. Once they begin to make their way towards him, he limps the other direction. I had a panic attack the other day, even took my sleeping pills but nothing could calm me down. Some time later I turned this song on and I could finally start breathing normally, in a few minutes I was finally able to fall asleep.
I had that on my high school folder in large bold letters. A few teachers commended my choice of music, a few others told me to remove it or buy a new folder.
It's actually a reverberation reached by recording the song on a stone staircase, they clearly know how to make stuff and Nigel Godrich is a hell of a producer.

The lyrics are so beautifully written from a very unusual POV in a moment Shakespeare never gave us. That FU moment in Romeo’s head as he and Juliet escape to marry… then it hits you, the irony of how it all ends.

Criminally underrated Radiohead song. Most songs, like No Surprises or Paranoid Android give me a melancholic feeling in my gut, but this song is just next level. For ones that doesnt know, prob 25% of people came from Doki Doki Exit Music. Not gonna spoil it for ones who didnt play it but the story focuses on the one of the four girls from the original game, Natsuki. The original game is called Doki Doki Literature Club, a psyhologial horror game. The mod changes the story and you help Natsuki. From what? From her abusive father. As just i said, i wont spoil it, but the part from 0:40 to 1:22 perfectly fits the story of the mod. And yeah, the mod was called "Exit Music" just because of this song (tho the instrumental is used). And it is played, BIG SPOILERS ALERT, when the main character (the one you play as) jumps off the ledge and drowns himself because of guilt (long story short, for the original ddem, Yuri (one of the girls) was obsessed with MC, Natsuki knew that, and everyone else including MC, one monday, in school, MC was almost s******* abused by Yuri, but he escapes by threatening her that he wold show some pictures (for those who wonder what pictures, Yuri sent naked pics of her with inicials of them both, cut by a knife onto her body, really, really cursed) to others. Later, Yuri and Natsuki argue and Yuri tells some lies, and Natsuki actually belived her (that mc said he loved Yuri). Then after Natsukis suicide attempt, shes in hospital. Waiting for her you fallsleep on a bench in the hospital, then a nurse wakes you up tommoroe, saying that Natsuki has been picked up by her father. Hearing that u go to home to swap clothes, then wait the whole day sitting on a bench next to their house, waiting for her father to go somewhere. Then you break in the house when he gets out(kinda illegal, isnt it?), then you call her name. Nothing, no response. You then go to her room and see her, umm, hanging (ddlc fans would say "pulling a Sayori"). Having a breakdown, you go home and you lie in the bed for around 6 days (probably eaten and drunk water). Then on sunday the girls, Monika, Sayori and Yuri come and say that you missed the funeral. Realizing how pathetic you were, you just shut up. Tommorow (monday) you go the school and the club, to se others and check the closet and the window next to it (Natsuki readed manga, and the manga was in the closet, and the window next to it is the place you two used to read it). You again have a breakdown. You just run out of the school, go to the bridge i think. Then u try to jump, but Monika stops you, but you still jump and drown and then this music starts) he couldnt handle (i am repeating again, play the mod and see the story for yourself. It made many people cry, and also relate) Btw my phone is lagging during writing this, prob to many letters

For ones that doesnt know, prob 25% of people came from Doki Doki Exit Music. Not gonna spoil it for ones who didnt play it but the story focuses on the one of the four girls from the original game, Natsuki. The original game is called Doki Doki Literature Club, a psyhologial horror game. The mod changes the story and you help Natsuki. From what? From her abusive father. As just i said, i wont spoil it, but the part from 0:40 to 1:22 perfectly fits the story of the mod. And yeah, the mod was called "Exit Music" just because of this song (tho the instrumental is used). And it is played, BIG SPOILERS ALERT,
when the main character (the one you play as) jumps off the ledge and drowns himself because of guilt (long story short, for the original ddem, Yuri (one of the girls) was obsessed with MC, Natsuki knew that, and everyone else including MC, one monday, in school, MC was almost s******* abused by Yuri, but he escapes by threatening her that he wold show some pictures (for those who wonder what pictures, Yuri sent naked pics of her with inicials of them both, cut by a knife onto her body, really, really cursed) to others. Later, Yuri and Natsuki argue and Yuri tells some lies, and Natsuki actually belived her (that mc said he loved Yuri). Then after Natsukis suicide attempt, shes in hospital. Waiting for her you fallsleep on a bench in the hospital, then a nurse wakes you up tommoroe, saying that Natsuki has been picked up by her father. Hearing that u go to home to swap clothes, then wait the whole day sitting on a bench next to their house, waiting for her father to go somewhere. Then you break in the house when he gets out(kinda illegal, isnt it?), then you call her name. Nothing, no response. You then go to her room and see her, umm, hanging (ddlc fans would say "pulling a Sayori"). Having a breakdown, you go home and you lie in the bed for around 6 days (probably eaten and drunk water). Then on sunday the girls, Monika, Sayori and Yuri come and say that you missed the funeral. Realizing how pathetic you were, you just shut up. Tommorow (monday) you go the school and the club, to se others and check the closet and the window next to it (Natsuki readed manga, and the manga was in the closet, and the window next to it is the place you two used to read it). You again have a breakdown. You just run out of the school, go to the bridge i think. Then u try to jump, but Monika stops you, but you still jump and drown and then this music starts) he couldnt handle (i am repeating again, play the mod and see the story for yourself. It made many people cry, and also relate)
