People wonder why this kind of nostalgia hurts and the truth is because back then, things *were* different. For some reason the weather seemed so much more vibrant and colourful in the early 80s/90s/2000s. Everyone was SO much more happier.. you don’t see songs with this much effort anymore, because the internet has taken over and so many people who haven’t put much effort into anything now become viral and majority of them end up making a career out of ‘singing’ . It’s washing away all the old ogs because they know there’s no point trying to compete with it anymore. It’s so sad man

This song really really got me going through that rough stretch. I'm so glad it did. Now, 33, I can only see it as empty positivity, but that it can work when you are young, naive and lonely, it did in my case. And for that, I will be forever grateful.
