Can you imagine the amount of money one could get by selling a Country Club (Golf course)? The offers that Owners get to sell the land must be astounding! Think of how many condos you could build
Being a part of a “Counter Club" can be extremely costly… But they flourish in other countries and are a real money maker.

Is it really a "country club"? Clubs with nice gyms and pools are nice, but I think what matters is the sense of community. Having bartenders or servers remember your name and order is of great comfort. Having bottles stored for future consumption at a reasonable markup.

Singapore is now obsessed with knocking down any old buildings to keep the construction industry alive? Build new ones and charge higher rental resulting in higher operating costs passing the cost to consumers.

waste of valuable real estate. if government get rid of horse racing, they should also reduce the number of golf courses. think of how many people are using it per hour per hectares.

The original founders of RTC made millions from SGD 28K per membership when they promised exclusive experience and prestige, however they let in so many members that the facilities unable to support. Members took up a Class Action only to line the pockets of the lawyers, only SGD 300 was awarded to each member. Not sure if this SGD 300 was eventually paid because the original sold RTC to a PRC businessman. Sickening!
