This drama first came out about 25 years ago and I think I was already watching it and remember the scenes, but I am only in my early 30s lol. This drama is just too gooddddd. Atv had some good 90s drama that you remember by the heart!

The ending was so disappointing....even though i've seen it twice now.....by far one of the best wuxia genre film, amazing characters, role and acting.....this series will forever live on and ill always remember it.
Wu Long Sheng is a rarity among all Wu Xia writers. Unlike most other novels, his novels suck but his novels' TV adaptations rock. This show is a prime example, It's like he got good ideas/plots but just could not write it into a coherent and smooth story.
@shengvg : It seems to me like the female in the family is curse, when it comes to love. The grandmother(michelle mei suet) loved a man she shouldn't and died in the end. The mother(mimi kung) loved her master but end up doing evil stuff because of rejection. The daughter(Kristy) loved the same man as her sister. - The man hurts her too many time.
love this drama and the theme and ending song. Sadly.. but I think the ending was perfect. Her mother committed suicide beacuse of all the sins. And the best part was that her master/husband finally hold his arm around her and "forgave" her. I think Kristy did it well leaving the guy. - Serious, he had a hard time choosing who he want to be with. I think he chose Kristy in the end but kristy felt sad for Alice and decided to leave with her father.
He didn't chose Kristy, but he had a hard time deciding what to do between the 3 of them. He love Alice more than Kristy. At the end of the drama Kristy left with her father and she said that she did that because she had a feeling if she really love him she should give him happiness which is giving him up to her sister and she know that he love her sister more than her.
If he accept her at the very first start than everything will not be like this. Her role is so sad for loosing her mom and her dad couldn't do anything, that is why she wants love and that person that she wants love is her master but the master couldn't accept her love! Kristy role is also sad too, she love the wrong guy. i even cried for her hella time whenever she gets hurt and sad!
If you mean Kristy, no he did not end up with her. He ended up with the other sister, but Kristy decided to travel with her dad so it was a good ending.

I think the only 'lucky' person is Alice chan. - BUT I belive that if Kristy hadn't sacrificed her and given up on the love. Alice or Kristy would have ended dead (or turn evil)I mean. The Grandmother and the Mother loved a man they "shouldn't" have had.... and didn't give up on love. (both got pregnant and the child/children survived) Both fought for love and died in the end. I bet if Kristry didn't loose the child she might had died. ---- But then again, maybe Im just over analyzing it?

this show is filled up to the brim with Wu Xia cliches, typical of Wo Long Sheng's novel (his novel is epitome of cliches.). Yet the show itself turned out to be not so bad, yeah, there were lots of cliches. Who don't have any? There is nothing new under the sun. So the focus is on the details, and on that front, the director and actors/actresses did a phenomenal job.
Wow did anyone find out the singer's name for this song yet?? It's been so long and I don't see anyone mention his name..hehe! I can convert this video into mp3 but it would be nice to finally know who actually sing this song.
