By far the best television series ever created. I say that because the total substance was for a world we live in today. Kiefer Sutherland was the perfect actor for this, and their aren't any words to describe how well he played his character. I have never been so taken into any television series as I was to this series. Never missed one show. Sorry, a little long winded, but every word sincere.

Yeah, but Fox never let their IPs go out on a high. They either nerf any potential good endings with the promise of "movies" or "more", or they mess up with insipid, boring garbage like Legacy and the show is never heard from again.
The problem Is that they already ruined some plot possibilities , what they make happening to Chloe and Audrey was awful in terms of screenplay , i don't know how they could now make up for this and write a proper finale for Jack Bauer. Because Jack deserves a Happy finale , not a bad One
They should have Josh Bauer (Jack’s nephew) follow in his footsteps. That way Jack could lead operations from CTU, while Josh was in the field. Handing over the reigns, so to speak.

I hope Kiefer Sutherland returns to 24 in some capacity whether on TV or even a movie... the idea of Jack Bauer just spending the rest of his life in some Russian gulag is pretty depressing.
To be honest, this was the best end for Jack. He always wanted to die for something. He had nothing else left. Yes, his daughter and her family are alive, but he will put them in danger if he comes back to them. That smile he gives in the end shows that he was happier than he was in years, because he gave his life for his closest friend. That's a great bittersweet end for a great story. Continuing it can ruin the emotional strength of it.
Jack's storyline is an inspirational never give up kind. Full of lessons for me that desire to start anything and see it through to the end! He takes my number 1 slot!
24: Legacy was cancelled, but apparently it is not the end of the franchise. Hopefully Mr Sutherland will return, otherwise I predict the next 24 installment will share the same fate.

My biggest problem with this series is they didn’t fully utilize the number 24. It’s obvious the first season was 24 hours with 24 episodes and each episode represents an hour within that time frame so if you watched it in real time the first season would really feel like one day. Then they completely ruined this show by repeating the same concept for 9 seasons. So in the corse of this series Jack Bauer had 9 days of extremely bad luck and each day felt like a roller coaster ride dealing with some international threat. In reality there is so much more they could have done season 2 could have been about Jack having to complete 24 tasks to save his daughter or his country. In Season 3 they could have done a 24 day scenario or even a 24 week scenario. 1. Jack having to collect 24 items 2. Jack having to kill 24 targets 3. Jack having to decode a message that is 24 letters long 4. Jack has 24 minutes in each episode to complete a mission or task or someone dies. 5. Jack having to protect a witness who is 24 6. Jack has to get 24 million dollars or someone dies There are so many ideas involving the number 24 and they completely ruined and waisted so much potential and in the end the series just became a joke and is not that remembered or well loved.
24 was the best netwrok tv action drama. I like that they kept everything real. The explosions were sick. Only problem I saw was the sweat that they fake sweat they put on the actors. It took them five seasons to figure that one out. Lol.

After having watched both "24" and "Game of Thrones" multiple times, I can safely conclude, 24 was the most magnetic and fun of the 2. I'm sad that Keifer looks so much older in this interview and the video is 7 years old. Time is going by too fast.
Early 2000s was owned by 24. I do think though that the 1st 4 seasons were it’s best in their rawness and relevance to the world before the writers started looking for other ideas that I always thought were a bit far fetched.
Jack Bauer needs closure. It was really disappointing to see the series end with him going to prison in Russia. This is an unpopular opinion, but I think the series ending we got was a result of the convoluted plot of Season 8. Had the series ended in Season 7, I would've been OK with that, yet here we are.
Loved this show. My only criticism is that it was the same.atoryline every season. And the twists and turns. A lot.of.them.weee the same kinda. But with just different angles and different ways. Other then that. One of the best shows ever for me. This and prison break are Two favourite. Can't choose between them for me lol
After 24 every action show is just 24. I strongly dislike NCIS, Miami whatever shows that are just a cheap copy of 24. In Mexico we have La Reina del Sur and Señor de los Cielos which are regionalized 24 and they were masterpiecely executed that were such a success. But you always are like hey cmon I've seen that since 2005 on 24.

You could imagine him in some other country, maybe doing something to help in a war zone or something, something similar to what we saw in that movie thing they did, only without dragging him back into the shit. Just happy (-ish) Jack, just doing whatever he wanted. Keeping tabs from afar on his daughter and how she's doing, but basically just staying out of trouble and having a somewhat peaceful retirement. Because everything after season 6 (including most of season 6 actually) was just awful. There was no heart there, no real love there. It was all for the money. And it showed. So Jack left Audrey with her father, knowing she was in the best care she could be and would be better of without him to cause her problems, and he just left. He had done enough for his country, it was time for him to have some peace.
